Feather's eyes were stung with tears. Love... She thought so violently of it. It was emotional abuse that could not even fix your heart with forever glue. I'm never going back she vowed. She stopped at her real home she liked living as a rough with her own rules anyway not any love or herd would bring her down though she loved Arrow so much

Chase wondered through the rocky mountain. His blue pelt thickened in preperation for the snowy winter. He grazed step by step but spooked when a hare suddenly bounded out of no where and dashed behind a rock. The stud had been forced from the herd after the winter and was loving the single life, following HIS rules and basically doing what HE wanted. HE smirked at the thought.

Chase walked down a steep gully, thick with trees and shrubs. A small trickling creek zigzaged through the smell meadow before winding it's way down the mountain. The stallion took a long drink before grazing again...

Feather sighed then walked on, singing a song she made up on the way home.

Feather stopped singing in a wellfull of tears. Never again would she give her heart away. For she had locked it up a safe that could never be broken

Chase's head shit his head and and pricked his ears at the singing. "H..Hello?" he walked towards the voice, stopping to hide behind a large bolder that was covered in a thick blanket of moss. Chase peeked out from behind to see an appy mare, he sounded his eyes to get a better look, "Feather?" he walked out, "Feather is that really you?". The stud stopped a few meters away and stood there, waiting for the mare to turn around, "It's me, Chase!" the stud grindded...

Turning, at the voice yet startled a bit she saw the stud looking so excited. "Chase?" she asked. She took one step towards him.

Chase grinned widely, "Long time no see friend" he walked towards her and wrapped his neck around hers, "Where have you been Feather? I was so worried" he stepped back and looked at her with worried eyes. Instantly he knew she had been crying, and traveling for many days. He wondered what had happened all those years ago...

Feather tried to wipe the tears away by blinking several times, not looking at Chase for a couple of heart-beats. Finally, she turned to him and started to explain about the herd and what she had been doing since they split up after the Tribe had been destroyed. "It was awful." she quivered. "I don't expect other horses to understand me though. They were a bunch of cowards."
She stifled a sigh and did not even try to meet the gaze that she once held with him with they were small. "My life is a mess, maybe I'm just the one who didn't clean it... I messed it up."

Chase was really torn by her story, he lowered his head so he could look her in the eye, he smile kne of his crocker smiles, "Well your at home base now"(did she tell him about arrow) "Hey, I'll help you unscramble everything okay" Chase touched his nose to her cheek, whipping away the tears...

Feather sighed and shook her head. "O-Okay. I'll give you a chance only if you think you can." she said facing towards him with shiny eyes. She pushed up against him and cried some more. She loved Arrow, and he threw her away... or did she do him like that?

Chase hugged her tightly as she cried, he waited untill she had finished crying, "Okay, before i get exited about you staying with me for a while, do you wanna stay or go back to the tribe. A new settlement was built, it's under a huge limestone cliff that over hangs, I'll take you to it if you want", Chase's mountain accent was strong, the words rolling of of his tounge and there was a few variations to the words of the Mountain Tribe...

Feather looked doutful for a second. "I wanna stay with you so I can get myself together." she decided. She nodded and looked around quietly then looked at Chase. "Thank you." she whispered.

Chase looked kindly at Feather, "Anything for an old friend" he smiled and bumped her shoulder before trotting around in a wide circle. He stopped in front of her, "I think you need to have some fun!" He reached out and pulled her forelock gently, "I don't think you've had any for a while" He grinned and cantered in the large circle agian, stopping behind her...

Feather looked back at him then whipped around to face towards him. "What do you mean by 'Fun'"? she asked and looked at him. She hadn't had fun since she left the herd actually her and Arrow used to have fun all the time. She sighed and shook her head. "Sorry, I'm a bit exhasted." she muttered.

Chase smiled, "Okay, wanna find a place to rest?" he looked at her and nearly kicked himself for not thinking. He nodded to the left and started walking slowly so she could keep up> Chas etouched her neck as she walked beside him...

Feather nodded and looked around. "Yes please... I feel like I can sleep for more than a moon!" she exaggerated.

Chase smiled, he turned east and followed and invisible trail through a meadow, along a shallow creek and across a rocky platu. He turned to look at Feather then moved west and pushed aside some frens, revealing a beautiful little cave. Roses grew along it's and above the small entrance. The creek they were following earlier trickled down beside and ancient and twisted willow tree that grew opposite the cave. " Welcome to my home" he smiled smugly as he looked at Feather.:.

Feather followed him complaining, and grunting. She then stopped and looked at the beautiful little cave. "Wow... is this, is this where we used to stay before getting picked up by the tribe?" she asked, trotting to it and collapsing into a comfortable postion.

Chase grinder, "yeh I found it again after I let the tribe" he slimed and layer down In his spot, next her Feathers. He didn't fall asleep though, instead he watched the cave entrance for predators

Feather blinked and soon fell asleep beside him, never feeling so comfortable.

The Next Morning~

Chase woke early, just as the sun peeked over the nearby mountains. He looked over at Feather in the darkness. Her shape was outlined by faint light.The stud touched her neck and left the cave. He trotted lightly over to the stream and gulped a long drink before going to the old willow tree to graze...

Feather was disturbed and instatly awoke, looking around wearily. "What was it?" she asked and yawned, her eyes closing for a quick second. "What's going on?"
She collapsed on the ground and looked between Chase's legs to see she was in the mountains. "Oh." she said and got up, shaking herself off.

Chase smiled widly when he heard Feather awaken. He shook off the dew that covered his blue roan coat, his mane flying through the air. "Good morning, it's a bit cold today don't you think?" After Chase said this a cold blast of wind shook the trees and made ripples in the stream. Yellow daffadils and rose pettles drifted on the wind, as they dance around the little cave and clearing out side...

Feather nodded and brought herself up to him and looked beyond the mountains, staring across to it. "Yeah..." she murmured. The cold wild forced her mane to go with it. She blinked and looked at him. "Something-something's not right."

Chase stiffened at her words. He arched his neck and lifted his nose to the air. His nostrils dismayed when he pin pointed the scent. "Get back towards the cave mouth, there is an escape rout there!" the stallion through his head in the direction and slowly backed up. Chase tensed, ready for a fight...
