Re: Forever a Fighter
"Um, brother is a Great Dane, much taller, thicker, stronger than either of us." She sighed. "Why can't you accept something into your life? There is more to it than just fighting!" Heidi growled and stood. "Was it your choice to fight? Doubt it." The dog was trembling but she kept going. "You are to caught up in your oh, I'm a big bad doggy phase to realize that you can do so much more!"

Re: Forever a Fighter
Kaiser jumped to his feet after she finished her first sentence. He was not trembling a bit. "I have accepted my life! You have no idea what torment I went through! Every day rotting in a shed wondering what I was worth! After a time I accepted that what I was was a fighter and pretty damn good one! Don't you dare judge me just by the way I act! All I've known was fighting ever since I was a pup! I don't know my parents, I don't know if I have siblings, and I didn't even know about the world outside of the ring! The only thing I knew was that when I fought I was appreciate, people respected me for who I was! So I decided from that day on that I would fight to the best of my ability!" His voice rose to a snarl. "Now all the sudden Calypso, Alice, you, and your brother expect me to change! Expect me to change everything about me just so that they feel safe or comfortable around me! At that point I am no longer a dog but a wild beast that has no true identity! I may have been broken physically but nothing will ever break who I am, that will be taken with me to the grave!" He made no move to attack but stood planted where he was, ferocious and barked out the words. "I have accepted my life and I will not give it up so easily!" His anger boiling over and old memories pouring into him, Kaiser snarled once more before turning and running to the other side of the cargo hold. He jumped over crates and climbed over luggage till he was on the other side. Once out of sight off all the dogs and Heidi, Kaiser looked down at his paws and kneaded them atop the steel flooring.

Re: Forever a Fighter
She glared at his words. "But wouldn't you like a different life. For just one day. A mate, pups, a home, someone to love you." Heidi got up and looked at the ceiling. "We don't want you to change, we just don't understand." But the dog lay down again and shut up, knowing it would make him happy. "Calypso only wanted to change you because she cares! She hates fighting and you know it! Why do you think she lets all those dogs off with minor wounds? She lied to you Kaiser, she isn't as tough as she thinks she is."

Re: Forever a Fighter
Kaiser snapped his jaws in anger and panted heavily. "No one understands, no one ever will." He glared down at the floor and restrained himself from attacking Heidi. "She does not need to be tough. You all are free from things seemingly unimaginable. I am chained to the post with no where to run." He spat out the words and hid himself from the world, surrounded by crates. He still spoke, not caring anymore if anyone was listening. "I do something wrong I get a beating, I do it right and I get a beating, I fight back I get a beating. Everything's so upside-down. First I'm told to fight and now I'm told to relax. First no mercy than I am to spare the opponent's life." He looked at a crate beside him and saw his reflection in the steel. He saw the scars covering his body and he turned away, revolted at the sight of him. The next word he said seemed to crush him in two. "I am beaten and battered. Nothing is left to love." He closed his eyes and sat there, memories flooding his mind.

Re: Forever a Fighter
Heidi sighed and shook her head, "Your wrong. You have a life left. Nothing left to love? I think not, I see a soul, a dog with a conscience. You can do what you want. Scars mean nothing, do they affect your personality? No, you do. You did this to you're self. You didn't let any one in when they could help and now you think you are right. You are wrong Kaiser! Let people in and you might be surprised. Some of us are different." She yipped and pushed the crate that hid him out of the way. " I see a handsome dog with a purpose, you just haven't found yours yet. And don't tell me you don't have one. Every living this has a purpose."

Re: Forever a Fighter
Kaiser glared at Heidi, though softer this time. "I never had the chance to let anyone in. Everytime I met another of my kind it was in the ring and at that time I was tearing them apart." He thought about the fights in Rio and growled wilder this time. "If any purpose, mine is to show dominance over every sleaze bag that claims himself to be a true fighter. I will bring fighting back to it's former glory, where only the strongest participated and not every male dog in the free country." He made no comment on him being handsome and his appearance, he had no words to counteract it. He didn't believe them but he figured if he argued that point it would only make matters worse. Kaiser stepped out of the crated surrounding and back to his previous spot, further away from Heidi. "And what is your purpose?" Hoping to get the subject off of him and onto her.

Re: Forever a Fighter
She sighed and laid her ears back. "If you would try to let dogs into your life then maybe we wouldn't be trying to change you! Calypso, Alice and I have never seen a dog like you! The others have welcomed friends! You are pushing them away, then why do you say all this?" Heidi said as calmly as she could. "My purpose? My purpose?" She said softly, " I'm not telling you mine until you tell me yours." Heid turned away and looked back at him. "When you're ready to open up, tell me. Oh, and before we depart, how about opening up to your kind, you have the chance. This will be a long flight." She growled and stalked away to the other side of the plane.

Re: Forever a Fighter
Kaiser snapped in her direction when she was walking away and then laid down where he was. To be honest he had a reason why he was turning people away. He didn't want to get hurt anymore.
As he lay there he kept thinking about his life. He never had a chance to ever 'befriend' anyone. The only dogs who he didn't have to kill when he met them was Alice, Heidi, and Calypso. He growled at the thought of the other two dogs.
Over time he began drifting off to sleep and within a minute or so was in a deep slumber, alone.

Re: Forever a Fighter
Heidi quietly snuffed through some bags and sighed. She pulled out a raw hide bone and nodded. Slowly, she set the bone in front of Kaiser and trotted over to the kennels. "Lets water the dogs!" A male human voice said from above. She growled and stood her ground as the man came down the stairs. She leapt on him, held his throat. The plane lurched and a crate slid and hit the guy's skull. "Easier than I though." Heidi laughed ad dragged him under a bar that was on the stairs, to make it look like he had hit his head.
"Kaiser, I know you're afraid of something, and I will try my hardest not to hit it.." Heidi whispered in his ear before darting away to find water.

Re: Forever a Fighter
((How did she know what his fear was, he never said it. It would take either him telling her or enough evidence for someone to be able to guess. She couldn't have known that accurately what his greatest fear was. Not trying to be mean, just clarifying. Put yourself in Heidi's shoes (or paws) and ponder on what you would assume based on what Kaiser said.))
Kaiser did not hear the bone though he smelt it. He made no move of accepting it and did not even move a muscle to show he was awake. When he heard a man's voice he opened his left eye just a crack to see what was going on. He watched as the man tripped and was killed, but in response he only closed his eyes and went back to sleep. He was completely closed to the outside world. When Calypso spoke to him he was deep asleep and it only sounded like part of his dream and not real life.

Re: Forever a Fighter
(She guessed and had dealt with other dogs like him before, though none exactly like him. So she has experience with others, along with her self, I can change it if you want, I will here in a sec)

Re: Forever a Fighter
Heidi sighed, giving up on her easy search and started to ponder the things she had heard. He has the chance to let them in, but why doesn't he? Bad experience? Or is he just being afraid? The shepherd sighed and started up the exit. The talking of people grew louder as she nudged open the little door. Heidi waited for the flight attendants to be gone and snuck in. The people were watching the food cart to notice the dog that was taking first class food from the other cart. Better sandwiches, water, milk, chicken, turkey, She ran this though her mind and she slipped it under the door. A scream erupted from a child and Heidi knew why. "Mommy!" The kid cried in excitement. The plane attendants rushed at her, hoping to keep passengers calm. The dog stood there, not knowing what to do. They would catch me before I got under the door ! Heidi thought. "Only thing to do is fight." She whispered to herself. She snarled and leaped for one of the attendants, but she dodged and they retreated a little ways. Heidi followed, and felt large arms under her stomach. "Lock her up, miss?" A beefy passenger asked, the one that held Heidi's mouth shut. "Yes, follow me." The attendant said and lead him down. Heidi struggled, thinking this guy was Arnold Schwarzenegger. She managed to get a couple words out, which were, "Hide, Kaiser!" Then her muzzle was clamped shut again by the hand. One thing she didn't notice was that another guy was hold her other end, so the larger guy could keep her from biting. Heidi was thrown roughly in the cage above the pug. People can bring their kennels, they don't need the airlines to install them for them. The dog muttered and started biting at the cage once the people started looking around for more free dogs.

Re: Forever a Fighter
((Sorry, been so busy.))
Kaiser was sound asleep when Heidi left to look for better food. But then when he heard screams he cracked his left eye open and looked over at the cargo hold door. No movements was seen. He grumbled and sat up, curious as to what was going on. But just then the door opened and he slunk back the hide behind the create beside him. He heard Heidi and then the three pairs of footsteps making their way to the area to his left. He crouched down to hide until they left. Then when the door was closed again he came into view and looked around. For a moment he wondered where she was but then saw her in one of the cages. He walked over and for a moment just stood there. "Welcome to my world." Then he reached forward with his front right paw and pushed down on the lever. It popped open and he smiled with his success. "Those kind you need to use cunning and not strength. Their practically invincible even for the most buff dog."

Re: Forever a Fighter
(It is ok)
She gave him a really? look. "OK, OK, I know, but I could of figured it out in time." Heidi sighed and hopped out. "Thanks." She said and looked at his feet. "Guess I should go now, wouldn't want to annoy you any more than my sister or Calypso." The dog trotted off with her head down, but ears still perked. She looked where her pile had been, it was gone. "Aww you're kidding me!" She barked. "Stupid humans." She growled and sniffed out a couple things the humans had foolishly kicked around. Heid gently picked up two turkey sandwiches and threw them over the crate towards Kaiser. She managed to get one of the boxes of milk over, but one had been damaged. When the dog went to pick it up, and once she had thrown it up in the air the bottom had gone out of it and the familiar splat sound was heard, so the white dog had a new edition of liquid white. Then she grabbed a bag of turkey breast and personally delivered it, milk still dripping from her head. "This should keep you going for the last 4 four hours of the flight."
She had left after her last sentence, sadness filling inside her. Her white hair stood out against the pale brown boxes, so all hiding was eliminated. Plus she left a small milk trail.
