Kaiser glared at Calypso as if she had just insulted him. "Did you not listen in the ring when the man announced me. I won the North America champion title. California is part of the Americas which is part of North America. Mexico was not included, don't ask me why." He grabbed one of the bones on the ground and began chewing on it viciously, his white fangs showing over the bone. "Why do you so insist upon me leaving? I don't see why it matters so much to you." He pondered for a moment, ears still laid back flat against his skull. "If I agree to go with this Alice will you take me back after the fights and then leave me be? I can't tell you how irritating nagging can be." He snarled to prove his point and then drop the bone, the middle nearly half gone already.

"I never listen. And I meant street fights with real dogs." She snorted and closed her eyes, trying to keep calm. "I don't think Alice would like your attitude, but I think you would like her. She could get you to Rio, good fights there." Her voice was filled with anger trying to push its way through. "Yes, the way you are acting, its annoying me to. I'm trying to give you a little adventure!"

She turned her head and sighed. "I don't know why I want your freedom, I just need a goal in life. After all, all my family is dead."

Kaiser did not soften up at all. He was raised as a fighting dog and therefore grown and trained with the attitude, anger, rage, and fighting knowledge. A small talk would not change that. "I don't like people. I tolerate them, there's a difference." Her last sentence did not even effect him. He had met many dogs without a family, most of them actually. "Your talking to the wrong dog if you wish for pity or sympathy." The black German Shepherd was quiet for a moment and shook his head. I'm going to regret this. Looking up he glared directly at Calypso and bared his teeth. "I will go but not because of anything you said. A change sounds nice, that is all. Do not expect any thanks in return." With that he slipped out the hole and waited outside for Calypso. "Where might I find this Alice?" He asked in his normal, harsh, fighter-like tone.

"I take pity from no one!" She snarled in a voice that sounded nothing like her. "The train station on the border of Cali. Tell her the location you wish, she will take you there. Now, you go. I am going to try to get revenge on the moldy pancake that stole my lunch." She darted into the forest.

Alice-

Forever a Fighter - Page 2 9k=

I paced back and forth over the track. No one had requested my taking them any where in a while and the train would be leaving soon. But it also counted on where they were going. The train that led to the airport of which would go to Rio wouldn't leave for another hour, but the one that went to the top of California was leaving in 30 minutes.

Kaiser growled at Calypso when she raised her voice. "Then don't go looking for it!" He snarled and then turned and started off at a trotting pace down the road that led to the border of Cali, Mexico. After a few minutes he picked up the pace and started running down the road. His speed was unmatched and even though his wounds burned he continued at this pace for the greater portion of a half hour. Finally 20 minutes later he arrived at the train station. He was blistering hot but did not show any of this weakness. Kaiser slowed to a walk as he neared the station and leaped up onto the 3 ft. high platform.

He looked around and noticed a German shepherd on the other side. Not worried about being polite, Kaiser walked right up and kept a suspicious gaze on her. "Alice? Calypso said you would take me to Rio." The black German shepherd stood 4 ft. away from the female and kept his ears flat against his skull, not trusting anyone or anything and no doubt ever will.

Alice nodded and winced at his wounds. "Thirsty? You have 10 minutes for a drink and you can still get on the car. You will be shuttled on the place by my sister, you will hide in the belly of the place until you land in the small airport, my brother will get you on another small train and take you to Rio. Ask him for directions. Or, if you don't want to go through all those dogs, I will take you all the way to Rio myself." She smiled and jumped in the train that went to the airport. She brought out a big jug of water,(like in a milk carton) And ripped it open at his feet. "Drink up. And Calypso has sent a couple of tough losers to me. They won a match in another fight, wanted tough competition so she sent them."

Alice growled at herself and bit her leg. "I'm such a babbler! Sorry.... uh, whats your name?" She asked apoligeticaly . "Food will be served later on during your ride. We have a motto to, if the service is nice, so is the guest!" The last sentece was growled.

Kaiser stood in silence as she spoke and growled deep in his throat at her last sentence. "I'd change your motto." He didn't even look at the milk and kept his eye on Alice. "I don't care who I travel with, whichever way is quickest. I don't wish to be off and on trains for the next month." His wounds had scabbed over during the night and no longer gave him much pain. He thought about what she said about the handful of dogs needing a challenge. "It sounds to me like they need their confidence chopped down a bit. Will they be taking the same train?" He ended in a snarl, hinting at his plan to fight them if they were.

For a moment he left her question unanswered but then after a minute or so spoke. "Kaiser." It was short and not sweet, more like a gruff response.

She pinned him at his growl in a way he couldn't get up. Her four legs made sure his were pushed in painful positions. "You wanna mess with me buddy?" Alice growled. She was a bit bigger than him and surprisingly much stronger. "We can end your journey here, if you wish? " Her head, neck and chest were out of his biting range. " No one messes with Alice." She snapped in his face. "You are gonna respect my family or one of us is gonna end it for you."

Kaiser snarled at her and then with a snap of his leg, pounced out from under her. His head was low and he was snarling viciously. "Don't even think that I'm getting on any train with you or anyone else. I've got enough problems." He was still really close to her and right in the middle of his sentence ran right at her but then slide to the side, knocking her off her feet, and then pinned her to the ground. "My years fighting haven't been a waste of time. If you want to fight, I will gladly tear you apart. Or you settle down and not take everything I say personal." He growled in her face and then stepped off. He made sure there was a decent distance between he and Alice and then waited for her response. Though he was smaller by only an inch on this German Shepherd, he had more experience, dexterity, and cunning.

"Do you want to go to Rio or not? Cause this is the only train! And I run them all!" Alice snapped, covering the distance i ntwo bounds and had him shoved in a open cage, the lock was too strong to break. "If that is the way you will act, then you will stay there until the doors have closed, or I can throw you under the train." She was trembling with fury, and trying to keep it down.

"I'm so sorry!" She yelped and quickly lifted the latched with her nose. "I do so many things without realizing them." she backed into the corner of the train, disturbing a rodent. "I-i didn't mean it."

Kaiser was barking and growling with such rage that foam began forming at the corners of his mouth. The bars were dented and scratched horrendously by his razor sharp fangs and he would have broken out within another minute or so if she hadn't let him out herself. As soon as the latch came up he snarled and lunged out. She was in the corner and Kaiser was barking with such fury that no sane creature could look upon him and not fear. The whites of his eyes were easily seen as he lowered his head in pure defiance. "Sorry doesn't help a damn thing! And don't give me crap about you not meaning it, I saw the look in your eyes and it was not even close to regret!" He stepped closer and as he did saliva dripped onto the boards below. "Don't expect me to get on this god forsaken train or anywhere with you, until you understand respect and think before you act! If you had thought it through first you would have immediately realized that your no match for me! I'm a veteran of dog fighting and have trained nothing else my whole life, don't you dare tempt me!" Again he took step and snapped at the air in front of her face. "I will find another way to Rio or hell I may not even go! But I will not be surrounded by enemies!" If the train hadn't blown it's whistle and begin moving, Alice would have surely died then. But the noise caused Kaiser to calm down somewhat as he was brought back out of his rage. For a moment he stood there snarling, poised to attack and the next he stepped back slowly but continued to growl. If he really felt like it he could jump off the train now, but as long as Alice didn't try to attack him he would stay...for now. Without saying another word, he moved to the other side of the train, sat down in the dark corner, and was silent. The only sound he made was an occasional snarl, his beady eyes ever watchful and alert and never leaving Alice for more than a second. His sides were protected from attack so if Alice were to attack him it would have to be towards his front, and that was not a good place to be.

As soon as he lay down, a small voice spoke in his ear, "Why did you attack and yell at mommy?" A fluffy german shepherd pup stepped out from behind the crates and looked him in the eyes. Alice leapt to her feet, snatched her pup up and darted back to her corner. "Answer me!" The ferioucous litte pup snarled, struggling out of his mom's gentle grasp. "Gawain no!" Alice cried, but the pup was already sniffing Kasier. "You're not gonna hurt me, are you?" Gawain asked in a voice that was too innocent to be mad at.

With a whimper, Gawain lay down by Kasier, small body trembling. "Gawain... please come here." Alice sighed and came and picked the pup up. "No! Black Doggie my friend!" Gawain protested and bit his mother. Alice snarled and gently batted him, not hard but hard enough to make him yelp. "Hurt him and I will kill you." Alice growled and kept standing as her offspring lay next to Kaiser. The train swayed Alice back and forth, the setting sun set her fur aglow, her blue eyes watching the landscape go by.

Kaiser ears lay flat against his skull when the pup showed up. He had seen the like before and despised kids. No answer was given and he only snarled louder as the pup approached. But the pup just kept walking towards him, eventually laying down beside him. Slowly he stopped snarling, though he growled when Alice stepped closer. "Get near me and I will kill him." It was a cruel statement but one that he would follow through with if he had to. For the moment his was quiet, though the hairs on the small of his back were still standing on end giving him a mad look.

Alice lay her ears back on her head. She backed up and sighed. She lay down and growled. "You better keep your word." With a small whine, she turned away and licked her paws clean. If only Gawain hadn't come out. This is not what she expected.

Kaiser growled. "Oh I will." He wasn't lying, if Alice got anywhere near him he would kill the pup. He would have no trouble with it either. The pup unnerved him, it kept snuggling against him as if he was a teddy bear. Annoyed, Kaiser used his right paw to push the pup away from him, then he laid down and growled as he kept an eye on Alice, the pup he didn't worry about.

Gawain got back up and sighed. "Guess black doggie don't want company..." The pup groaned and lay by his mother.

After a couple of hours, the train screeched to a stop. "This is our stop. Heidi will be here to escort you." Just as Alice said that, a white german shepherd stepped up the door and looked in. "Alice! Who do I take?" Heidi asked and looked at Kaiser. "Him? Ok, let get moving."

Kaiser closed his eyes to rest but his senses were still alert. He was only resting his eyelids and nothing more. Finally he rose from a loud screeching sound and sat up. The pup was over by his mother. Finally he got the picture. Without a word Kaiser left the train. Heidi...why are there all the sudden a whole bunch of German Shepherds... He wondered but said not a word as he followed the white female cautiously. Everyone he met so far had a major issue with his attitude. Instead of adjusting to who he was they tried to force him into doing things, which was the worst thing you wanted to with him.

Kaiser was satisfied with the silence, only wishing to get to Rio as fast as possible so that he could tear a whole bunch of dogs to shreds. His back fur began bristling at the thought and he got a malicious look in his eyes.

"I hope my sister didn't bother you to much. She has an attitude problem." Heidi whispered before shutting up. It was about a mile to the small airport, which was easy to get to. While they were putting small amounts of luggage into the belly of the largest plane there, she nudged Kasier forward and into the plane. "Hide!" And with that, she was at the back and in perfect hiding.

Kaiser growled at the mention of Alice and Heidi's relation to her. "I noticed. Better hope your not the same." He then followed beside her, careful to not expose his neck to attacks as was habit.

When they reached the airport Kaiser tread soundlessly behind her. Then when she nugged him he growled silently deep in his throat and then dove into the back of the plane. He hid behind three crates and waited quietly for a signal from Heidi.

Once the door was locked and the plane started moving, Heidi stuck her white tail in Kaiser's view and made it move in a circle, for sound may set a couple of the other dogs off. She slowly moved away from the encaged dogs and sighed.

When Kaiser saw her tail he nearly clamped down on it when he realized that the rest of the body was out of view. He followed it and stepped out from the crates on the other side. Heidi sat down and relaxed, while Kaiser glared at the dogs that made eye contact with him, the house dogs looked away when they saw his scars and smelt the various stains of blood on him. He was a raggy looking dog, not untidy but obviously had the fight dog aura about him.

"Are you hungry?" Heidi asked silently, hoping not to annoy him. "Airplane food isn't that good, but it is better than nothin'" She lowered her ears in submission and started digging through a box of bagged things. "Peanuts. Cookies. Ah here we go, chicken sandwiches." She said ans threw a couple of the sandwiches to Kaiser.

Kaiser was actually surprised at her sign of submission. He was never given that kind of respect before, especially not from Alice. He held his shock though and allowed her to badger him with a question. Kaiser nodded in answer and then sat down when she went away to scrounge for food. When she came back he caught the first sandwich in his mouth and allowed the others to fall to the floor in front of him. As he was eating the dog in the cage nearest to him started to whine when it spotted the food. Kaiser growled deep in his throat and the hairs on his back bristled. The pug shut up and laid down in submission. He then finished off his food and then laid down with his head on his paws, ready to pounce at a moment's notice.

Heidi sighed, ate her own share off food and lay down a good distance away from him. "Hope you don't get bored easy...." She whined and sniffed her coat, which was quite spotted with dirt. She rolled over and put her paws straight above her head, and for one moment her eyes met his, but she quickly pulled away. "By the way, brother was adopted and won't take your aggressiveness..... trust me." Heidi was youngest and it was easy to tell.

Kaiser cracked an eye open when she spoke. "I'm used to being stuck in couped up place with nothing to do." Her next remark caused his ears lay flat on the back of his head. "If your brother deals with fighting dogs on occassion then he will understand my aggression. I am not easily changed and will not unless death is the only other option, even then there is doubt. My aggression has been built up over many years and cannot be erased just to presentable to another dog. If he doesn't like me then I will find some other way to get to Cali." He ended in a growl and then closed his eyes again. The eye contact he had made with her didn't seem to effect him much for he was unknown to kindness or even affection. "People will have to start accepting who I am."
