I stood there silently and waited..."Hey you never told me your name...may i know it?"I asked the stud(Bandit).I stayed away from the stud who bit me and closer to the stud I sorta new which was in the stall right next to me.

Banded Hero nodded his head in agreement with Sammy. He snorted softly as he ate his peppermint swiftly. He threw his head up at how delicious it tasted, and how many taste buds it tangoed with. He gulped up some water as he waited to be shipped to Hollywood Park along with Birdie. Banded looked at Madie and smiled lightly. "I'm Banded Hero, but you may call me Banded if you desire," he said deeply before tilting his head to the side.

I didn't eat the peppermint at 1st but then ate it.I drank the water.The stud who bit me drying the race reached over and bit my withers how he reached me I don't know.I then snarled and bit at him barely missing.I stood closer to bandit's stall.

The groom's argued for a while then moved the nipping colt down the row. It was time they got there sleep they said-

In the morning the horses where shiped to the popular Hollywood Park In California. They had race entres but Ronny wanted them to get to know there new sorunding's. The groom's walked the horses for a while letting them see the sight's of the race track-

I went to sleep with easy while laying down.

I loaded fine....when we reached are destination I walked out perfectly and walked around with them checking every thing out.I gave then no problems.

Ronny had the exsercise rider's take the two mare's and colt out the next morning to get use to the large wide open track-

Birdie observed her surroundings, taking photographic memories of what the track looked like. She inhaled the smell so she wasn't thrown off track during the race, and she forced herself to get used to it. Banded did the same.

When Birdie was excersizing on the track the next morning, she saw that the track was very wide, actually one of the widest she had ever seen. She sprinted, this time swifter than she usually had. She was dedicated to win this race, and that meant training extra hard in order to win.
Banded Hero ran quickly as he maneuvered his way to the back-stretch of the track. He sped up, his nostrils flaring since he was panting. He hooves pounded the ground powerfully like a mallot smashing against a fruit.

I swiftly ran pasted them giving it all I got going unbelievably fast I then was behind them aging after going around the tack once I was worn out but would not give up.I kept running getting faster and faster my heart thumping so loud that you could here it,THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP.I was running so fast it seamed like my heart would barest into little bits as I ran faster then before.After 6 time of going around I came to a stop and LITERALLY fell on my side agusted.I had no energy left.I stood up and checked on my squashed joke who was luck he did not get hurt.They then walked my to the cooling area and soon I felt like I had energy aging.

Ronny watched his horses get use to the track Hero seemed to like it and Birdie was getting use to it and Madie was fine with it acting like it did not make much the difrence as long as there was a track to race on.

I was not like myself in a way instead I reared up with the horses in the door and then the buzzard went off.I took off taking 1st place admittedly.My long legs stretched far out then came back to my body I was running smooth and fast.1 quarter.2quart.3quart of a mile I was ahead of every one and looked like a bluer my jockey was barley able to hold on and man was I doing good at taking 'secatorits' talent down through his grand kids.You could say that I was him but only as a mare.I was soon 1 quarter away from the finishing line the other horses 2 1\2 quarters.I then sped up and paced the finifhing line with a cheerful neigh.....man was I fast.I then did what my joke wanted and about maybe 20 minuets later the other horses crossed the finishing line.I walked to the winners curial and a reporter shouted,"Sir are you prod to be the owner of a fast mare who's won 4 time in 1st place in a row and sheave only raced 4 times?"

Spectacular Birdie walked onto the track, hearing the screams of the crowd pierce her hearing. She cringed lightly at all the noise and trouble it had caused her, but she actually seemed to get used to it after about a minute or so. She loaded up into the chute with absolutley no trouble at all. The creaky metal bars closed behind her as she waited for the gate to open and show the world what she was made of. The trumpets played that tune, and with that, the gates flew open. She sprinted only a mere half of what she could do. She was in 5th out of 12th, but she always had a plan. It was on purpose she stayed behind, but when she made it to the final turn, she would sprint as fast as she could. She maintained an easy speed of 35 miles per hour before the final turn approached. She could feel a bolt of energy run through her veins as she darted off, quickly making it to first place. All she could hear was, TH-THUMP, TH-THUMP, TH-THUMP, and she couldn't quite tell if it was her hooves or heart. She soon reached the finish line, beating the rest by an astonishing 9 lengths.

Banded Hero lined up for the race with ease as he awaited the signal to sprint his heart out. As the bell rang, he bolted, quickly making it to the front of the pack. He stayed near the fence, making it quite simple to keep his position. He seemed the be the pacesetter of this race, which was strange since he usually never got to the front so swiftly. He was hugging the rail as he glanced over his shoulder. He could see horses coming behind him with their mane and tail flying off their bodies. He could see a few horses spit the bit in the corner of his eye as he seemed to enter a speed duel with a nasty, mean looking black colt. The black colt eyed Banded Hero fiercely before pressing on and getting a nose inhead of him. Banded Hero would not allow this, so he too, ran faster, now neck and neck with the colt. When the finish line came, Banded Hero won by a nod.

Frank took the silver plaque and Sammy held the reain's as Frank awnserd the question. "We might take her all the way! We got one of the best sprinter's of the season Birdie and we got our speed and distance runner Madie and we got our distance and handicap champion Hero!" Evrey one noded when he said a name and started laughin when he finsihed. Sammy walked Madie back to the barn to cool her out the next race was Beride's then Hero's-

Birdie took her time to cool down and catch her breath. She only ate a little bit of hay so she could stay light and fit for the races, but she went heavy on the water since she figured water couldn't do much harm.
Hero snorted lightly and devoured all the hay he could get, washing it down with large slurps of water. Birdie chuckled and nipped at his shoulder. Hero nipped at her withers before stretching his neck and limbs for the next race.

I was to fool of energy to gust stop now.I walked then trotted in a circle in my stall before one of the grooms opened my door and lead me out and taked me up....I ran on the tack my main blowing wildly as we went on a 10 quarter race peratice.I kept going at a good speed of-10 miments per mile.After running the track a few more times the groom took me back untaked me and cooled me down then put me in my stall.I ate hafe of my hay less then bandit did and more then bridle ate.I then drank every last bit of my water and then someone refilled it.Then I drank that in time after 5 buckets fool of water I laid down for a rest.I awoke later and stood up and looked around me at the other horses.Night would be here in another 6 howers.

Ronny had races for the mare's and colt, big races. He wrote the names of the horses running in which races:[Two week's later]



Senorita Stakes:[Madie] 1 mile, $100,000
Hollywood Juvenile Championship Stakes:[Berdie] six furlong's, $100,000
Hollywood Juvenile Championship Stakes: [Hero] six furlong's, $100,000

Sammy and the groom's fed the horses that morning. They brushed them and walked them up and down shed row. Berdie had the first race that week. He was walked onto the track for a morning work out with Hero and Madie in tow. They all where to breez five furlong's and after word's they would be walked back and cooled out-"Berdie got a good shot but the inside rail the ground by it is slopy and she don't like them slopy track's." Sammy said to Hero as he walked the colt. "Where gonna have to put a ring bit on that girl friend of your's." He said smiling refering to Madie. "And you well you'll just be rolling along." He said smiling-

I refused to take the bit that morning my mouth was sore from it.The groom then took the bit off the bridal and put it on me then called out,"Need help with bit!"He tried once more but it did not work I then turned my head away from him.

Sammy beeing the head groom worked with the horses more than any one he took the head stall from the groom and placed his hand on the poll of her head, "Here girl you take that bit." He drew the head stall over her head and sliped it on. He thin raised the bit up to her muzzle he never put his index finger in her mouth like most she did not like it for some reason. Taking the bit he made sure the bridle ewas saqure and not to tight. He lead Madie out of the barn and Ronny gave Riley a boost into the saddle-

He got it in my mouth but before I took off running I mange to get it out.I ran elegantly around the track not as fast as usual but still fast.After going around 4 times I stopped.

Ronny would put a stronger bit in her mouth race horses had hard times spiting bit's back out jockey's kept snug hold's on the rien's so it was to pull a bite out. Ronny put a ring bit and custom peace in her mouth. Groom's got the head stall nice and sacure. After a hour of fixing the head stall Sammy got the bit to stay in her mouth just in time before the Senorita Stakes!

It was time for the race aging and I was giving them a hard time with the bit."No no it hurts."I cried out.The groom then open my mouth to see if there was something wrong.It was sawlen and bright red were the bit goes but he figgered it was nofing and shoved the bit in my mouth.

I stood still in the garte door thingys.When the opened I walked at 1st then trotted then ran.I stayed in the back and weaved in and out of the other horses when it was my last chance......I won by a head.

When I was put in the winning circel,I did not pose like usal I wanted was this bit out of my mouth.I was then walked into the cooling area and when they tried to slowly take out the bit I spit it out fastly and got a bit of spit on the groom.I then was walked back to my stall.I head one 5 races in a row.

Birdie tossed her head around as she entered the track. It was very busy today, and this made her a bit jumpy. She cleared her mind and focused on the race ahead. She heard people cheering her on. Maybe she was the fan favorite of this race. She snorted and thrashed her neck around as she neared the starting gate. She refused to go in the first four times, but eventually calmed down. She waited for the bell to ring as the other colts and fillies eyed her. She knew this time, she wasn't playing games. This was serious. As the bell rang, the doors flew open. She sprinted from the chute and quickly landed herself in first place, other horses trailing behind at least 5 feet already. Her legs were slender and tall, giving the illusion at her entire body was a mere blur. She could already feel her heart nearly burst from her chest as she raced on, now 7 lengths away from the others. She heard a horse gain distance from behind her, and with that, she knew she had to kick it up a notch. The jockey was barely able to keep control of her as she dashed across the field. The backstretch approached, and as usual, she sprinted as fast as she could. She made it to the finish line, beating the rest by 12 lengths. She whinnied and snorted at her sucess as the jockey waved his right arm around.

Berdie was coming to be a very popular face around the barn's and Hero was a heavy favret. In the winner's circle Ronny told them he planed racing her in a longer race as a three year old but now for her first season he would build her stanima. There where rumor's after the race that both fillies Madie and Berdie would race in the Tira Triple Crown as a three-year-old. Beeing lead from the winner's circle Sammy walked Berdie as Ronny talked of entering her in longer races. She was showing a mix of speed and stanima. Hero was still heavy favret and Madie was resting under the watchfull eye of Sammy. They finished cooling Berdie out and got her back to the barn for feeding and brushing. If Hero won his race later in the day Frank White anounced her would throw a small party in the stable area selabrating the three staright win's of all his stable horses-

Hero stepped onto the track, a bit more cocky than usual. He had a very good feeling about this race. He nickered to all of his fans and did a little dance to impress the others. He threw his head up as he entered the starting gate easily, waiting for the bell to ring and the metal doors the swing open. "This should be a good race folks," the announcer said before the the bell rang and the doors swung open. Hero kept a good pace, weaving his way threw the crowd of horses. He kept the strong place of 3rd, but he soon made it to second. Then, he realized this wasn't going to be easy. The colt in first was one of the fastest and strongest racers in the three-year-old division. Hero would get closer, but then the colt would go faster. Hero ran faster as his legs carried him powerfully over the track. He made his way to the colt and looked him straight in the eye as they dashed to the finish. The white bulbs flashed as they crossed the finish line. It was a photofinish. The official over-looked the photo as he decided the winner. "Banded Hero has won by a nose!" the official said happily as he tipped his hat at Hero. Hero did a victory jog in circles as his legs pressed up against his chest.

Ronny had the colt walked from the winner's circle to the cooling area to the barn. The three horses wore the River Bend Stud color's green with a yellow border. The young colt was walked around the saddling ring and to the banr agian. Sammy held his lead and Ronny walked beside the colt talking of the colt's feture. Such as a small roumer there may bea sixth Handicap Tripple Crown Winner or a new handicap champion for next season. The race's would be longer and the weight's more damanding. The fan's left treat's for the horses and Frank had groom's lead the three out of ther stall's for picture's. Hero stood in the middle with Berdie on the left and Madie who Sammy was with on the right. The flashesh of camera's did not seem to frighten the young horses. Ronny liked Birdie for running well on the slopy track and was relieved for Hero but worried for the weight they might pack on him in his next race. Frank and Ronny where worried that Madie would not be able to race in the following week. The groom's walked the sleek Thoroughbred's under the evning sun-They would go to Santa Anita next in two week's-
