I smiled, "Good, I take first watch" I said.

"Okay.."Dream muttered,lowering her head to graze..

I looked at her closly (Masked Mystery) "Where are you from?" I asked looking into her eye's, they sparkled with fire, mine where dull and lifless.

"My herd had an outbreak of rabies.."Was all she said with a solemn face..

I knew she wasn't jocking. "I'm sorry." I said quietly. She may not bealeve me but I was. I looked at her. "You see the scar on my face." I said. "Got it in my first fight protecting my little sister from a forcer." "Boy did he teech me a lesson." I mummbled.

(The scar travles from the corner of his eye to the end of his mouth on the right side he has a half black face)

"Oh,That's terrible..."She mumbled,then she stretched her muzzle out to nuzzle him,in a comforting way..

I nuzzled her back. "Thanks I joined this heard when Flame's father found me." I said. "It's hard but I get by." I said giving her a small smile. "So you have been on your own ever since?" I asked.

Distant Dream smiled weakly,"Yep,it's been about a year...a terrible year.But it has taught me how to survive and who to trust."She trailed,getting a distant look in her eye."So,were you in any other herds before this?"She asked giving him a questioning glance..

"This is the only one I said." Looking at her. "I hardly remember there faces." I said quietly thinking about my real blood family."

Distant Dream nodded."There is only one thing that I remember my mother saying to me when I was young..*It is your duty as my daughter to be forced like I was...though it is a terrible fate."She snorted,her eyes suddenly filling with hate and envy.She nuzzled him with her velvety muzzle,trying to comfort both herself and him..

I nuzzled her back, "I know, forcing is wrong, I have much against it but it has been are way many year's, I wish we could find a much easer way." I said. "I remember some one said once "If you travel alone then you die alone." I said. In fact I think that is why sometimes we have no choce but to find a strong mate as soon as we are old enough to have one." I said quietly.

"Thank you,for your words of wisdom.They were greatly appreciated."She whickered in a soft tone."You are right.."Distant Dream lowered her head to nibble on the course roots that surrounded her..

"Thank you." I said surpriesd, "I mean there not mine but thank you." I said agian. I had never met any one who thought me wise. Infact most thought me just a big guard hors with no brains. I looked at her for a moment befor going back to grazing.

Golden Glory- "Um Distant Dream?" I asked stamering.

Distant Dream wheeled around to face Golden Glory."Yes Glory?"She asked looking upon the stammering mare with concern..

Golden Glory- "I was wondering if maybe you culled take me?" I asked.

Masked Mystery- "She means if you culled take her to the pond." I said. "If you want I can go with her or we can all go." I said. "Do you like swiming, if you can't swim I can teatch you." I said. "Not that I don't think you can, just not a lot of horses can swim." I said. "Glory is just learning." I said smiling at Distant Dreams.

Distant Dreams nodded with a smile."Oh course hon,race ya."Distant Dreams took off at a lope,her mane and tail bannering out from behind her..

Golden Glory- "Hay." I laughed going after her.

Masked mystery- "Mind If I cut in." I jocked running up beside Distant Dream. Golden Glory ran baehind us.

Golden Glory- I laughed seeing the pond drawing near.

Masked Mystery- I ran into the water splashing Distant dream and Golden Glory playfully. "Come on let's swim." I laugh.

Golden Glory- I walked into the cool clear water then swam to the center of the pond.

Masked Mystery- I splashed water toured Distant Dreams. I smiled runing from her playfuly.

[Faye]

I pounce in,making a BIG splash and splattering us all with tons of water.I giggled and swam out to the deepest end..

Masked Mystery- I ducked under the water tacking a dep breath.

Golden Glory- "Where did he go?"

Masked Mystery- I swam toured Distant Dream's and poped out of the water right next to her trying to make her jump.

[Faye]

I squealed in surprise accidently kicking out at Masked Mystery..but it was a light kick."Oops,Sorry but you scared me."I giggled smiling.

I smiled back at her slyley and said "I'm gonna get you" I splashed at her agian nipping her playfuly on the neck as Golden Glory swam by laughing.

Swinging my neck around I splattered her with tons of water.I galloped onto dry land,bucking and rearing playfully.

I lughed and ran after her bucking at play. I had not acted like this in year's it fellt good. I charged forward my head bobing back and forward as I ran over the earth. "Last one to the heard is the winner, I'm alway's last." I laughed.

I shrugged and chuckled bolting off,making it to the herd in record time..I lost.
