I sigh softly.

"Are you one of teh sex- and power-hungry horses?" I ask, swishing my tail behind me and lowering my head to graze.

I look at him adn snort, shaking my head.
"Call me Dawn," I say, lowering my head to graze once more.

I watch him for a moment, raising my head and flicking my tail.
"If you'll have me," I say queitly.

"oh ya i want you...if you want me too..." i smile

I snort softly.
"You'll stay with me and protect me?" I ask. I had seen stallion's break mare's hearts, adn it had happened to mea s well. I would not let it happen again.

I smile small and nuzzle him.
"Then I will be," I say, then lay down.

A few moments later I fall into a light, epaceful sleep.

Not long after, I wake up adn raise my head. The night was still, with a few owls and bats darting in the dark. The crickets were silent. I snort softly to myself and raise my head higher; Something about the stillness made me uneasy...

*i raise my head and stand up, warning whatever was in the trees to go away. i bare my teeth and neigh fiercely* "is evrything ok?" i ask u

I glance at him and motion to the still of the dark.
"It's so quiet," I say. "No owls, or bats, or crickets... Just silence..." My voice trailed off as I stood, looking around. Not even a breeze stirred through the treetops. It was like everything that had ever lived was just... Gone...

*i coldnt hear anything...but that made me think that there was somrthing there. bcause when there is danger around, there are no other animals making noise* i walk to the edge of the trees slowly and then look into them, trying to see anyhting that was in there

I watch him disappear into the shadows and shiver slightly.

*i back up and come out of the trees,still looking into the darkness* then, i see a pair of eyes up in a tree. i bare my teeth and scream at the creature*

I jump at the sound of his vocie and skitter to my feet, rolling my eyes.

"im just trying to protect you" the creature was a cougar, i lashed out at the tree with my hooves and sent the lion tumbling down to the ground... i run at it and stomp right in front of its face....this lion was dumb...it jumped on my back and i kicked and reared up and then i fell down backwards...killing the vicious cat "nice try"i say to the lion "im too strong for you"
