i give a surprised yelp when he tackled me to the ground, i sneered up at him "great" i said with a smirk, then jumped up when he got off me. ear flatted i snarl at him crouching down a little as i watch him with a deadly look in my eyes

Beowulf~
Growling I hunch low then bolt forward rushing to her left side but suddenly appear on the other side of her and knock her over, sending her rolling a few times before coming to a complete stop. I go to her side and help her up. "Do you know what I just did?" If she didn't know what it was then this would be the first of many ancient fighting techniques I would teach her.

i growled and snap at him when he rushed at me thinking he was coming to my left, then suddenly he was at my right and before i could stop him i was sent rolling. stopping i jumped up shaking my head a scowl on my face, more mad at myself then at him. "kinda, i was learning this trick before everything happened" i looked at him determined to master this technique and all the others "now show me again"

Beowulf~
I nod and turn away, trotting back to my original spot, then I turn back around to face her. Raising my head I prick my ears. "Okay you ready this time? Watch very closely at each and every move I make. If you don't get it this next time, its because of something else and I'll explain it later." I say it all with a smile before turning serious again. Lowering my head I look at her with glinting eyes. Every muscle in my body tense as I get ready to spring. Snarling I flash my knife like teeth before crouching low to the ground as I circle her. Excitement coursed through my veins and pounded in my ears as I centered my whole attention on her. My tail lashed from side to side with each and every step I took, then moments later I lunge forward again with a show of fangs, charging straight at her before appearing at her right side. Growling as I crash into her I leap over her hoping that I had hit her hard enough to send her at least stumbling a few steps. Landing on my large feet I whip around with calm eyes then smile.

i snorted at myself, and brace myself for him to slam into me, "got it" i say watching his body tense up with a snarl on my face. when he sprang at me i snapped at him fallowing him with my eyes at he circles me, growling low in my throat i brace myself for him to ram into me, fangs bared i snap at his neck then again he crashed into my right side. i lock up my legs as i slid through the grass and dirt. i growled and scowled at myself "how the heck are oyu doing that?" i asked annoyed with myself for letting him do that again to me

My smile softens at the annoyed tone to her voice. "Its fine darling. Look here." I point with my muzzle to my left shoulder where my odd marking was. "This, this is the thing that supplies my powers. Our kind each had their own special marking. But, you have to find it before you learn to harness its power." My kind eyes rest on her as I tell her all this. As the suns warm rays come out from behind a dark cloud, it hits and high lights the tips of my black coat and makes the light blue almost white marking glow. "Don't worry, it takes us all awhile before we find it." I look away and into the woods for a second and sigh then look back at her, the sun outlining her, she was gorgeous. "Theres one catch though..I can't help you find it, you have to do it on your own."

i huffed and looked at him, i looked at his shoulder and sighed looking at his mark "that? thats the thing that gives you the power? and we all have one?" i asked him looking at it then at his face as it all sinks in, daddy had a funny mark, that went up his left front leg, so did mom. i shook my head and huffed again looking at him then back at his marking, hmm it almost started glowing in the sunlight "what? i don't have awhile to find it!" i groaned and shook my head at him "a catch? there would be" i grumbled then sighed as he tells me "great...so how do i find my mark? does it just show up or what?" i asked thinking about it

I smile as it all sinks in for her. "It doesn't have to do with doing things, it has to do with whats inside." I flick my muzzle at her heart. "You'll know when you get it." Sighing I look at her with a patient (sp) look. "Don't worry darling, I won't go anywhere until you find it."

i sighed and looked at him "inside? but how? Beowulf i don't get it" i looked at him confused and mad at myself, i smiled small and nodded "thanks"

"Your not supposed to get it Darling. It has to come to you, and it will know when your ready to recieve it." I say it all softly, and a little sadly.

i snorted and sighed looking at him "riight" i smiled small and looked down at the ground, "daddy was teaching me all this before everything happened," i said softly with a faint smile

My gaze drops. "I know" my voice was just as soft. I turn away so she wouldn't see the pained look on my face. If only I could tell her...I didn't want her to get hurt again. But she would have to face the one who gives her, her powers...And that was the love for her parents...That love would reserect there ghosts in the end so that they could pass their knowledge down to their daughter. The things we knew, were not taugh to us...but inherited.

i looked down at the ground thinking about that day, i was pouncing on anything that moved as he talked to me about the markings and such, it ended up with him tackling me and playing with him, i sighed softly and looked over at him taking a deep breath "ok whats next?"

I get up and walk over to her. "We wait." I say sullenly and trot to the creek nearby. Stopping at the waters edge I lap up some water while keeping an eye out for danger.

i groaned and watch him trot to the creek "Im not good at just waiting Beowulf" i said then grumbling under my breath i laid down and rest my head on my paws and look at him blankly thinking about what to do

Lifting my head after getting a drink I sit down and look at the beautiful land around me. Desperately wishing there was a way to help Rebel, I throw a look over my shoulder and watch her momentarily before focusing back again on the landscape infront of me.

I look blankly over at the trees trying to remember what daddy told me about the mark and how to release the energy to get it, it had something to do with finding your inner peace "we may be the most feared wolves in the world but you have to find that pace to get your mark Rebel" i hear dad say in my head, with a huff I closed my eyes and start to drift away to my favorite place when I was a pup..at this little pond where if you looked into it you could see yourself and the fish swimming. a soft smile goes across my face as i start ti find that peace

Laying down I look at my reflection in the water. Smiling I splash at it.

taking a deep breath a warm feeling washes over me, as I find myself back at the pond, laughing softly I look around, then walk over to the pond and smiled softly at myself in the water, I blow at the water watching my face get all mixed up then looked around, "Beowulf? how are you here?" I asked now confused, then my ears pick up on footsteps, I whirl around and suck in a breath seeing a huge bigger then Beowulf coal colored wolf walk out with a lighting strike looking mark on his right hip. "daddy?" I asked softly then looked at Beowulf "how is this happening Beowulf?"

I smile and look at her father who was my mentor. Bowing my head respectfully before even looking him in the face. He had been one of the greatest wolves that had ever lived, and his impression had left a tremdous impact on everyone around him.

I looked at my dad, who was supposed to be dead with wide eyes, "h-how?" I whispered pain laced in my voice. Good Nature smiled warmly at me then nodded a hello to Beowulf "you've grown into a fine wolf, both of you have" he said now looking at both of us. I take a step back "your dead...I watched them kill you" I said hoarsely He smiled sadly at me and nodded "I know sweetie, I did die, Im hear cause you finely found that peace" I looked over at Beowulf then at daddy, "but...but your hear now.." "Aw sweetie yes Im here to give you all I know then I have to go" he said still with that sad smile. I swallowed hard nodding small "oh" I whispered holding back the bitter tears

I looked over at her and hid the pain away from my face. Not letting her see me in pain because she was, it would only cause her more. Staying where I was I nod respectfully at Good Nature. "It is fine Rebel." I say gently as I look at her with hope filled eyes.

I looked over at Beowulf, seeing his hope filled eyes I left out a breath and stand taller "ok daddy Im ready" He smiled and walked closer and nuzzled me "I love you baby girl" he whispered into my ear then towered over me "now are you ready to receive this power and gift" I nodded holding the stupid tears back I am Daddy" He smiled and let a warm breath wash over me, left front leg started heating up and then a zap of color wrapped around my leg glowing a soft green. "there's your mark bay girl, now I have to go" dad said and I looked at him now the tears filled my eyes "no don't leave me again"

I quickly go to her side and support her, knowing very well that she would pass out any minute...it happened to us all. Then I turn my gaze to Good Nature and bow my head closing my eyes. "Thank you sir...For everything..But I would like to ask you one thing before you go.."

I looked at dad with tears in my eyes, I felt like I was going to pass out but not yet... Good nature smiled sadly at Rebel "I have to go sweetie" he said then looked at Beowulf "go on" I asked warmly, he grew up into a fine,strong shadow wolf. I looked at dad then at Beowulf as I leaned on him
