Alice felt the tear drop onto her cheek and whimpered slightly, quietly, it running down like one of her own. As he laid her down she seemed to struggle to look at him, panicking. Where had he gone? Had he left her? But then he was there, trying to kickstart her heart. It seemed to cooperate a little, letting her take stronger breaths.

As he heard her heart speed up a bit he looked around and yelled, "Where's the fucking ambulance!?" Then he returned to her, trying to get her heart sped up as he could. Finally once he got it sped up to a safe speed, he sat her up to keep her breathing steady. Then he mumbled to her neck, as he had almost a hug on her, "Please baby, stay breathing. I need you here with me."

Alice coughed and spluttered a bit, but then seemed to regain the ability to breathe properly, opening her sleepy eyes as wide as they were going to go. I-I'm staying, sweetheart." She joked quietly, wincing as she was sat up. Sure enough the medics were soon on the season.

As she joked he smiled, gripping her hand gently. But he was pushed away by a medic, but he held her hand until he couldn't any longer, but he sat in the ambulance with her. Once they were driving, even before, he never took his eyes off of her.

Usually Alice would fend off the medics, but she knew that she wasn't okay this time round. She knew she needed there help. It was awful, the disjointed look she had, the way her leg half swung as they picked her up. She was in fact, broken. And very much so. But her cloudy eyes stayed on Joel, the only one she recognized.

Alice was very slowly recovering, mentally. It haunted her, plagued her to no ends. And know she had a permanent limp, dragging her slightly twisted right foot. She still had days where she woke up and couldn't move, in a panic and slightly dazed. But the fire now was rekindled in her eyes, lighting the sky blue flames once again and showing her energy.

When Alice had been released, Joel felt a physical weight being lifted from his shoulders. So one night after she was out he had decided a surprise for her, a sort of big one. He showed up to her house in a nice button up shirt and nice jeans with some new-looking boots, also carrying a single rose with him. When the door opened he said, "Up for a surprise date? Your choice, I buy." All the time he kept his charming smile on his face, meeting his eyes.

Alice slowly opened the door, shuffling awkwardly to open it, only to see a charming, clean, Joel announcing they were going out for a date. "Oh!" She blinked, surprised, before her cheeks darkened. "S-sure! Hang on a moment, oh come in come in." She smiled, stepping back a bit so he could come in.

As she spoke, Joel smiled brighter as he enjoyed the sight of her cheeks darkening at his surprise. He loved this already. So eagerly he stepped in and looked down at her a bit, meeting her gaze once again.

Alice glanced down at herself, already smartly dressed due to them having to visit family. She wore a lovely lilac blouse, one she laced up slightly at the top, with a pair of stone-washed jeans and a neat black belt. Her ebony hair hung freely, swishing as she moved to fetch her coat and boots. She seemed to be walking better today.

Just at the sight of her beautiful body and clothes, but just as she swished her hair he couldn't help himself. He laid his hand gently on her shoulder, but pulled her to face him before he kissed her. Gently at first, but then he picked up pace after a second. But after a minute or two he pulled back to press his forehead to hers, only a tiny part between their lips.

Alice chuckled at first, before wrapping her arms over his shoulders and tilting her ad slightly, humming in the back of her throat. "Steady on there, cowboy." She purred, her lips just brushing his as she spoke. Her hands rubbed his shoulder blades gently, soothingly.

Joel grinned, moving his lips to lightly caress hers without fully kissing her. Heck, around her he just couldn't hold himself back. So after a second he brought his hands ever so gently down her sides, being careful from her injuries. Then he kissed her again, deepening it a little as he rolled his shoulders from her touch.

Alice smiked brightly, nuzzling his cheek warmly as she sighed quietly. She shivered as he ran his hands down her side, his cold hands soothing. "Aaahh." She breathed in relief of the itching hot pain.

As she nuzzled his cheek, a small chill running down his body, he sighed while turning to kiss her cheek. But as she spoke again he mumbled, "We can just stay here and I cook if your hurting." Really, if she was hurting there was not way in hell he was dragging her out.

Alice shook her head. "I'm just a little sore from the car ride, I'll be fine. I don't want to ruin it for you."She huffed, though she knew the chances of them going out now was very very slim. He usually could look straight through her and see the pain on her, leaning into him a bit.

Joel almost chuckled, pressing his chin gently on her head, "A little sore? Alice, it's alright to be hurting. You got crushed by a fucking bull. What you up for? Italian? Mexican? Maybe something German? Just name it." Once she answered all he would do what whoosh for a moment, then he'd cook. But hey, let's let the girl pick.

Alice narrowed her eyes slightly. "Not completely," She huffed. She didn't exactly like being reminded how weak and incapable she actually was at the time, though she was so grateful to him for being there. "Actually, Italian doesn't sound quite nice." She smiled, giggling as he zoomed about. She followed at a human pace, easing down into one of the chairs at the table.

After he got all the ingredients he went back to a slow human pace, chopping and slicing like a pro. But he loved cooking Italian, as that was where he was born. Well, now-a-days it's called Italy when he was born it was called land and a cottage. Either way, once he had finished he laid a plate with delicious looking Italian in front of her. Then he wrapped his arms gently around her from behind and kissed her cheek, "Enjoy."

[Did it say Italian does sound nice or was it supposed to be doesn't?]

Alice shook her head at him a little, smiling her head off and watching him merrily cook. She sighed, relaxing into the cushioned chair. It felt nice to finally have her weight off of her bad feet. As he appeared with some delicious looking food, Alice grinned. "Grazie!" Leaning back, she kissed his cheek before tucking in.

Joel smiled and stepped back to let her eat after speaking, "La vostra accoglienza mia bella Alice." Then he went to the kitchen and cleaned up the counter and fixed up the kitchen like it had been when he had got there. Basic kindergarten knowledge.

Unfortunately, the two last words were all she understood. Shooting him a quizzical look, Alice just shrugged her shoulders. But she remained silent, eating happily. Boy oh boy could that man cook. And it was nice, as she usually cooked, to not cook even if he did quite a bit for her.
