Heart of Ice (Blackberry/T-M)

Lilac pranced in the valley, happy as can be. The sun shone down onto her, warming her to the bone. She enjoyed wandering in the Lupine Falls area. It was so...so...awesome here! She went to one of the rivers flowing to the waterfall and leaned forward and drank some water, the sound of someone approaching drowned out by the sound of the waterfall.

Cheshire approached the waterfall, his short tail flicking. He had traveled for a long time, and now his pads were literally on fire and his throat was as dry as sand. He spotted a river and headed towards it, but spotted a shape by it. As he got closer, he noticed it was a female bobcat... "Hello?" he called, his voice raspy.

Lilac's head jolted up when she heard Cheshire. "Oh," she gasped then finished "You scared me." She turned around and sat down, she began cleaning herself (I think bobcats clean themselves) and meowed "I'm Lilac"

[Blackberry]

The bobcat blinked, watching the she-cat named Lilac. "Sorry for scaring you," he said with a purr. "My name is Cheshire."

Lilac shrugged "That's fine, you just startled me." She smiled "That's a nice name, so Cheshire what brings you to Lupine Falls?" she asked.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire flicked his short tail. "Well, I normally come down here every once in a while for a nice drink, or to look at the falls at night." He smiled. "You should see the falls after dark. It's a wonderful sight."

"I bet so with them being so beautiful in the daylight at night it must be amazing" she purred. She looked at the near h falls and sighed with delight.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire purred, smiling softly. "Yeah, but at night they glow brighter then a firefly." He cracked a smile.

Lilac closed her eyes for a moment, trying to visualize what they looked like.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire stretched and yawned. "Well, I'd better get down to the rivers. There's plenty of fish!" He let his whiskers twitch. "Want to come with me?"

[Guest]

Lilac nodded "Yeah, I would be glad to come with you." She rose and waited for him to direct her.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire purred. "Follow me!" He turned and began to bound down the slope he had come up.

[Guest]

Lilac laughed and followed him down the slope, laughing the whole way.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire heard her laughing and purred in laughter. He skidded on his paws as he struggled to turn a corner, paws throwing up grit and dirt. There was another slope, leading down to the lake. "Almost there," he yowled to her.

Lilac struggled on the corner to and laughed even more when stuff fell at her. She sped up and kept an even pace with him and purred "Want to race?"

[Blackberry]

He skidded to a stop, ears flicking. "Race," he repeated. "Okay. Where to?"

[Guest]

She stopped and answered "To the river, ready...set...GO!" she called. She kicked up the speed again and ran toward the river.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire gasped as she raced down the hill. "No fair!" he yelped, struggling to keep up with her.

Lilac purred in laughter and slowed a little until they were even then picked up the pace again.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire let out a purr. They were shoulder-to-shoulder. "Almost there," he meowed, eyes on the river.

Lilac purred happily and forced herself to thrust herself forward, she kept her eyes on the river trying to avoid obstacles on the hill.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire gasped as she dashed forward. He lowered his head and tried to catch up.

Lilac laughed as she reached the river first. She stopped as fast as she could so she wouldn't fall in the river.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire skidded to a stop beside her. "You're lucky I'm hungry," he growled playfully.

"Why?" she asked, looking into the river looking for any sign of fish.
