Genocide looked up at Chakotay with big blue-green eyes. Chakotay's eyes would haunt her forever. Genocide sighed, and leaned on his side with a smile.

Chakotay smiled back down, but was distracted. "I... I don't know Genocide. Do you know why everything has to be so complicated?"

Genocide glanced at him and smiled. "I don't know, Chakotay. But I know that as long as you're here, I will never be alone." She replied sweetly, nuzzling his shoulder. Durnal was watching them. He smiled and padded over, and whispered into Chakotay's ear, "I think she has a crush on you." He bent his head back up.

Chakotay didn't reply. He just pulled her close, and smiled at Durnal. "Maybe. But we will find her someone who will love her like you love Pelican. Nothing less." He whispered back.

Genocide smiled warmly as he pulled her close. "Chakotay. Do you want to go hunting later?" Genocide asked him.

"Of course. But you have to do as I say, I couldn't live with myself if you got hurt." He told her, glancing over at Durnal for permission.

"You may go." Durnal said, nodding his head. Genocide smiled. She turned to Chakotay. "Thanks, Chakotay." She said happily.

"Dakota and the new fae can tag along, if they wish." He glanced down at Genocide, "But it is up to Genocide."

"Nah, Dakota will want to be alone." Genocide replied. Durnal nodded and padded away to find Pelican, and soon did so. "Afternoon, Pelican." He greeted, licking her chin.

Chakotay nodded, picking Genocide up and setting her on his pack. "Don't be afraid to bite to tell me to stop." He started to trot, trying to keep his gait as smooth as possible.

Genocide giggled and smiled as she rode on Chakotay's back. She was getting big, but not nearly as big as Chakotay yet. At least 2 1/2 feet smaller.

Chakotay hopped over a fallen tree, and crouched down. "What do you smell?"

Genocide lifted her snout and took a whiff. "Rabbit, and Elk. Pretty fresh. About 10 minutes ago, I'd say." She replied. Genocide was always a good hunter, just like her mother was.

"Which should we go for?" He asked, nudging her off his back so she could smell better. "I don't want you getting trampled."

"The Elk. Our pack needs food." She replied, trotting towards the smell. There stood a Elk, about a year and a half. Racing forward, she leaped on the elk, sinking her sharp teeth in its neck. Genocide brought down the elk, and snickered. "Let's get some fish to." She suggested, hearing the river near by.

Chakotay's eyes widened. He raced forward, stopping her with his paw. "Don't ever do that again! What if there were more? You could've been trampled if there was!" His voice was laced with concern, and he checked her over for any possible wounds.

Genocide's eyes were filled with fear. Chakotay had never yelled at her before, especially right after she had been upset for a few days. "I'm sorry, Chakotay!" She cried, backing away. Her eyes filled with tears, for she was always the sensitive one of the litter.

Pelican examines her surroundings, then casts Durnal a small and faint smile. She flicked her tail, keeping a close eye on the pups. Noticing that they were growing up to fast, which started to make Pelican tear up just a tad bit. Not liking the fact that her beloved pups weren't her babies anymore but young teens. She sat back on her haunches, sighing. The fae was in heat once again, and was debating on if she would want more pups or not.

Nakomi bounded up to Chakotay and Genocide, halting beside her mate and pressing her muzzle into his flank to calm him. " Love, please calm. Be glad that she is alright, though." The gorgeous snow white fae casts Genocide a serious glare. " Genocide you have to be careful." Whispering in her angelic voice, she nudged the pup to the camp.

(By the way, he wasn't yelling.)

Chakotay pulled Genocide close, shushing her. " No no, I just don't want you running off like that. you could've gotten hurt!" He nuzzled both Genocide and Nakomi.

Nakomi motioned for the two to go back to camp, rotating around to grasp the dead fawn in her maw. Sinking her canines into the mouth watering flesh, propping the body up she padded towards camp. Dropping the limp body into the FKP and going back towards Chakotay. Pelican rushing over to hear Chakotay and Genocide, her claws were extended and Nakomi was worried that her aunt would do something she would regret. Making the white fae flash her pearly white fangs at Pelican, watching her cautiously.
Calming a bit to notice that Pelican was only checking to see if her pup was alright, licking Genocide rapidly and nuzzling her to the den.

Genocide smiled at the sight of her mother, and licked her ears. "Mom, I'm sorry." She whined, still shaking. Durnal padded forward and checked Genocide over carefully.

Pelican shook her head, " Don't be sorry love. I'm just glad you are alright." Tears well in her eyes, scanning her daughter who has grown up so much. The fae knew she would soon have to face her children leaving her, and may or may not coming back. Letting her head drop she sighed heavily, " Your getting so grown up Genocide, as well as your brothers." Casting her gaze up at Dakota and Braekon. She was about to call for them, then decided on it.

Chakotay was crushed. Genocide had treated him like he was a monster. Snarling, he stalked away, hackles rising. He broke into a run, crossing through a clearing and jumping into a low hanging tree branch. He was out of sight, and huffed.
