Oman stopped, looking at her icily. "Oh? Would you think our dear gods would let anyone else rule over both the clans but themselves?" He asked, aware of how aggressive the question seemed to be. He cringed at the thought that Hachiman had heard him, which he probably did. Sending a mental apology in the air, he began to walk closer to her, but slowly. "Your clan is filth. No wonder you're having problems, killing foxes for sport and honor has to cause problems eventually." He snarled, turning his ears back to the sounds of the fighting foxes. But he didn't flinch.

Devnem was pulling a fox off of a senior warrior when one had viciously grabbed him by his neck and began to pull him in. The fox began to feel his way up to his victims throat, when more warriors attacked him. It let out a yelp and fell to the ground, blood pooling out of it's mouth. The ground was covered in blood now, and he could feel it make it's way in between his paws. Now wasn't the time to feel disgusted about himself, or what he was doing. Several foxes went into a pain-induced rage, swiping nearby Death Clan foxes and their own allies. Letting out a battle cry, he kicked a fox farther in the circle and began to nip at other foxes' opponents.

Many foxes were pulling out of the infirmaries, wanting to join the battle. A wispy grey fox with white spots freckled on her body felt worried. They were opening up many fresh wounds, causing them to quickly go through the herbs. Many foxes were now going back in forth to get herbs, and she waited for the dreaded call that they had to access the fields. Treating a young fox with several scratched on his belly and chest, she quickly stopped the bleeding at chewed up a leaf, soothing the wound. Not many foxes had been able to help the wounded ones out, and many of the foxes that had volunteered had nasty wounds on them as well. She was helping a dark red fox when many warriors jumped up to the sound of there allies' screams. She was helpless to stop them, though she prayed that they could keep safe. Another wave of volunteered foxes brought back foxes, many with serious injuries. One was sending a steady stream of blood on the ground.

Claire's eyes widened. Filth? Her clan is FILTH? "How dare you call my clan filth! It's a way to earn a warrior name and be placed among the others! It's a way to achieve ruler ship." she narrowed her eyes at Oman,her body tense and her tails lashing. Dark,shadow like tails started to swirl around hers,seeming to knock into each other as they made out three tails.

Raven spotted Devnem,his eyes going into a deep,hidden rage. He went to attack him but,a Life fox got his tail. He didn't let out a cry for help,or pain,no. He just turned around,his fangs seeping into the skull of the fox. He showed no emotion,but a sort of blood thirst as he sucked out little blood from the creature. Falcon turned to see Raven,but was busy himself. The Death Clan foxes were giving they're all in order to bring the Life Clan foxes to bay.

Oman smirked, seeing that the leader had risen to the taunt. "Evil filth shall be cleansed. Even if this war is bloody, there is much more then blood that is spilled. Weakness and hatred often soak a surviving fox's fur." He said, growing out tails as well. The touched the ground and it sprouting grass as it soaked up the blood. He could feel Hachiman's presence now, or was it just because his power? His tails started to stretch outward, until they were more then two times his body length. The were the same color of Hachiman's fur, while they glowed with a lime aura. He took a sniff of it, knowing that there was nothing holding him back now. But now, he could feel Hachiman's paw on his shoulder, looking down into his eyes. "You kill to win. If you use my powers, there is no help." The got said, then faded away. He knew that he was watching, wondering if his pick was strong mentally and physically. Turning his head towards Claire, he roared a challenge. "Life Clan either burns your evil customs, or we continue this war!" He yelled, loud enough for the foxes on the other side to hear.

Devnem had turned around and saw a fox, seeing that it was looking straight towards him. They may or may not know that he was a deputy, but he was covered in blood just like the rest of the foxes; both his blood and others. Blood landed on his cheek, almost landing in his open mouth. He bit down hard on a fox's leg, crushing it. It went for his head when he threw it out of the circle, and it landed around in the mist. Suddenly, it let out purple smoke, then the body disappeared into it. He could see new faced battling the warriors, or was it just his new energy that seemed to flow through him? He bit into the haunches of one fox and hauled him out of the circle, while dodging blows of his bloody teeth. The fox's leg seemed to touch the mist, and his body was pulled with a force. It was more quickly then before, and he could see him vanish just as he was about to blink. He wasn't going to rely on Hachiman to deal with his troubles, he would fight for his power. Diving into the fray again, he thought that they might be making good progress, even with the medics trying to get inside the bloodbath to rescue foxes on the ground. Some where getting trampled, others claws ruthlessly.

Weakness and hatred? None of her foxes have a known emotional weakness,only a dying lust to fight for they're lives. "My foxes,and even me have no weakness. We have a strong hatred to those who think of betters. Debating,voting for a new deputy or leader. We test out things deep inside that can never be exposed through voting. We always choose the right way." she said calmly,that hint of demonic in her voice heard again. She prayed in her mind to Shini Gami to let her survive. She wanted to hurt Oman,and not just a broken leg. She wanted to scar his memory,burn her print into his lineage. Even if she died right after the fight,at least she would accomplish something. Her head lifted at his challenge,her eyes narrowing. "You can rot in hell before we change our life!" she flickered toward him,her claws unsheathed as she stretched out her arms. She was beside him,going for a quick kill.

Raven watched the smoke form. What was this? He hissed,killing off Life Clan foxes. Was it when they touched you? He couldn't put his paw on it,but he couldn't be confused during this! His fangs seeped into another Life Clan fox. One after one.. They started to fall. Life,was being stolen from everyone. A future was being taken from youth,and pride was being taken from both clans. Numbers also. Death Clan dropped by at least fifteen foxes in the last raid. Raven couldn't deal with this. He then heard Oman,his ears pricking towards the sound. He heard his leader's confidence,but also her demonic tone. He flashed a grin,his courage building up.

In the depths of the woods,shadow kits were playing. They gathered souls from the dead,Shini Gami emerging from the Death Clan lines. She always had participated in these wars,ever since birth. Her coat shined a crimson red,her head held proudly as her tail swished back and forth. Shadows grew from her paws,stretching out towards the battlefield. Foxes hit into her,staring at her with an awe. Mostly Death Clan foxes made a path for her,not wanting to get killed in any affair she had to deal with. She took a deep breath,the sky turning into a deep darkness now. As she let out a oddly toned howl,the wind picked up and like a sonic boom,the grass quivered and trees bent back with all they're force. Her howl sounded of all kinds of others. Sweet,high pitched,demonic,dark,deep,all kind sof voices into one. Her goal,was to fight for her clan. Without her clan,she'd just be a god worshiped by strangers.

Hachiman had been beside Oman for the leader's attack. He easily dodged it, counter attacking with a aim of a quick swipe. He swished his tail, waiting for her to come. A Leader battle was too much excitement for her to miss. He rose to four paws as he heard her howl, and the sky turned black. He felt cold rage building beside him. They ruled in different domains, but both of their worshipers would live in both. Crouching down, he could feel Oman using his power. He had generally turned down the idea that a god's power should be used by a mortal, but Death Clan never had any boundaries except the border. If Oman used too much of his power, his power would flow out, killing his mortal body in the process, but achieving god-like status. He knew that Oman would easily use it if he had too, with nothing to hold him down except his warriors. No mate, no kits, no friends but Devnem. He jumped up from his position, rising into the sky. The sky he couldn't change back; he had nothing to do with the sky. He wasn't the god of the sky. But he was the God of Life, and he ruled it. His tails extended, letting them multiply until he ended with four tails. They were long and bounced every few seconds, like they had just touched something hot. They had red, bloody tips on them, expelling black smoke. His body grew, and his eyes glowed. The band that had controlled the tails soon had ripped open like something had exploded inside of it. The chains turned into flowing silk instead of gold. He roared out a challenge, his fur ruffled and a bone that had stuck out of both of his legs and extending, moving like whips.

Oman and quickly dodged her attacking, moving with speed, but still getting used to his grace. He seemed to know about everything around him, the beings in the soil, the beetles and the worms burrowing deeper and deeper into the earth. As soon as he had stopped with his momentum he had lunged at her, aiming for a headbutt to the shoulder.

The Death God's pelt grew shadows around it,her own pups circling around her and pushing orbs of all sorts of colors into her pelt. They left burns among her skin that quickly healed. Her form was starting to change. She grew in size,her body triple it's size. Her tail napped against the ground while her eyes shaded into a black. Fangs like a sabertooth tiger grew in the corners of her mouth,giving her that constant looking snarl. Claws extended into the ground like roots to a tremendous tree. She lashed the ground,drawing up dirt. A dark,black circle formed around the battlefield. It was like a pentagram,beating like a heart as the ground raised and lifted as if it was breathing. The air got heavy,more dense and more dark. She looked out into dead space,her pure black eyes showing no sign of what she is truly seeing.

Claire watched him dodge,watching his movements with a studying eye. She saw him lunge at her,leaping backwards so he rushes head first forward.

Oman quickly stepped to the side, helping ease his excess speed. He turned around quickly, claws digging in the ground, to face her. As he readied for another attack, he could notice the ground change. The marks of a black pentagram made his paws tingle. His fur rose up, and he felt the instinct to tear up whatever the pentagram was on it, which was now the ground. He turned his head to Claire, the mist now clearing up. He could see Hachiman; no, one of Hachiman's tails. The blood-red tip made it easy to see. Finally, the white mist cleared, showing Hachigami. He knew that the god was now visible to all, his powers overflowing.

Hachiman ordered the mist away, and it quickly cleared out. A strong wind helped blow the remaining mist away. His tails shook, then started to shake more violently. Suddenly, the ground started to shake. Cracks started to form on the plain, causing unequal levels of rock. Finally, the tremors stopped. The black pentagram that was on the ground slightly mismatched, but still strong. He could now spot Shini Gami, and her eyes. He could feel darkness around him, and another one of his tails shook. This time, a violent wind gusted behind him, lifting the foxes feet behind him up.

Devnem could feel the power behind him, and ignored it. This wasn't the time to be distracted by magic. Turning his head, he swatted down a fox's head, causing a gash on it's ear. It feel to the ground, and instantly got up. His warrior's pelts were rubbing up against him now, causing pain from his wounds, and making him uncomfortable. Either way, he still kept fighting. Then, something strong slammed into him; or rather, lifted him up. He flailed in the air, unable to adapt to his surroundings. The landing was not harsh, but it wasn't pretty. He landed on his thigh, causing him to spin. Some of the Death Clan foxes flew too.

Claire;s eyes fixed behind Oman. They turned into wide circles,showing horror. This was the first she had ever seen her God like that. He paws scrambled as she backed away. This was also the first time she had ever shown fear. A lot of her own foxes started to quiver in fear too,but fought against it and Life foxes. Claire looked back to Oman,seeing the pentagram at they're paws. She knew what that was used for.. Souls. Her eyes could make out the shadowy kits of Shini Gami swarming the battlefield,collecting orbs from alive or dead foxes. It was only a matter of time.. A ticking bomb.

Shini Gami looked up to Hachigami,her nose pointed to him. The sight was just a lust to her. A half god.. She wondered. Her mouth split apart down to her cheeks,revealing larger fangs pulsing through her gums and right out of her mouth. He body was getting deformed as tails spurted out of her main one,and claws endlessly grew into the ground. Her ears twitched as her beads grew into a more spike-like weapon. Her legs lifted as she vanished from sight. It was a trick of fleet foot,used by many magical foxes for quick attacks or fleet. She appeared in front of Hachigami in mid air. Her tails,equal to four by now,was lashing and swirling up harsh gusts. Her claws were almost curling into her pads,and her fangs grew to the point of brushing her neck. Her shaded eyes did not fail to send death or paralysis down anyone's brain stem. "Hachiman.." her voice sounded more rough,but female. It was a deep,wavy sound,like usual I would suppose. "It's been so long since I tasted your blood." she ended her sentence with a lustful grin.

Devnem could see by the leader's face that something was wrong. Just now had he noticed the black pentagram. It didn't sit well with him, and he felt a tremble coming on. Oman had sensed it too, and now he was running. "Retreat to the border!" He yelled out, just when a claw came down on his face, causing him to drop. His jaw hurt, and he felt less of himself. Something picked him up from his scruff, and went right through the foxes. More foxes were retreating towards the border, but holding the line.

Oman registered the look on Claire's face. The black pentagram meant something more. Something far more deadly. "Go back!" He yelled, digging his paws in the ground. Launching himself towards the mass of foxes, he saw his deputy on the ground. He grasped his scruff and cut through the line like a knife. His tails lashed out, striking foxes. He had almost tripped on one as his claws went deep into what might be his rib cage. He broke cleanly through the line, though he had blood splattered on him.

"Tsk." Hachiman backed away as she became invisible. He was glad that she hadn't appeared as close as she would've. His tails started to point at the Death God, almost like they were aligning up their aim. The black smoke was now resting just above him. "Like a parasite that can't live without it's host. If your magic stretches into homeland, your foxes will suffer. Hmm, maybe plagues or prey shortages? Maybe infertile foxes?" He gave a fake look of concentration. It didn't bother him that she might attempt something anyway. She would know not to try and stretch into his territory next war. He stared at the fangs protruding from her mouth, unsettling him. The bony string that came from his legs wrapped around them.

Claire called back her own foxes. "Retreat!" She gave a worried howl to her foxes. She wouldn't go into war,not now. She rushed to her border line,her foxes fussing over things. They retreated,following behind their leader. Claire's eyes were in shock,her paws feeling the darkness under them. "Shini Gami.. Why must you fight this war?" She hissed through her teeth. Her foxes scurried back to base.

Shini Gami smirked to Hachigami. "Oh,my territory won't falter. This magic,my clan knows all too well. You will find out what happens." Shini Gami jumped into the air,lunging at Hachigami. (Sorry so short)

Hachiman felt angered by her smugness. He didn't want to bother explaining how he was going to do things. "Then your foxes' lives do not seem like a great bargaining chip, do they?" He saw her attack clearly, and dodged it. Air felt the same as stone, with the grip of grass. He turned around, his tails making it easy. Closing the distance between them with a jump, he aimed to dive for her mid-section. His bony whip unraveled itself, extending his reach.

"A dealing chip? They're worth more then my immortal life." As sad as it may be to her,she could never give up her clan. She saw him lunge at her,her claws gripping the air with great strength as she hauled her body away. She used fleet foot once more,appearing in many places around him. She couldn't choose just /one/.

Hachiman grunted as she swiftly dodged his attack. They were equally pared, with both having a few tricks up there sleeves. "Then you should know better then to try and taunt the ruler that your clan's paws walk in!" He threatened, then spread his feet out. His tails wandered out, increasing there size. Each one followed an image of her, and where one lost it, the other would take it's place. Soon the smoke began to spread around him, until it made a shape. A large spear began to materialize in front of him, giving off a shine in the sun. He growled as he looked at the images around him, waiting for a time to pounce.

Shini Gami laughed at him. Her voice echoed,teleporting everywhere at once. All the images froze,every figure standing in every corner. Her pentagram started to raise,the land doing the same.

Hachiman's tails stopped, focusing on the area around him. He felt one start to shake, then a surge came to his paws. The wave went downward, spreading out. As soon as it hit the ground, causing a few seconds of silence. Then, a violent boom shook the land. The ground started to crack, almost if the power had weight. It pressed the ground down, stopping it from rising. "Looks like someone has plans this war." He said.

Shini Gami shook her head. "Nah,I go freestyle. That mark.. I'm sure you know what it does. I fear it too." She shuddered at the thought. All her figures mimicked her,none showing a faulted. They started to circle slowly,the pentagram beating like a heart once again as power pushed it down.

Hachiman let out a snarl of concentration. The power started to spread out, covering a part of the field with wide line. The ground started to shake, then several edges around the pentagram started to crumple. He didn't pay attention to the figures, all his attention going to the assault on the ground. Closing his eyes, he let out a long hour. It wasn't a battle cry or a lust-filled one. It was a eerie, lone howl.

The pentagram grew bigger as parts of it crumbled. It's long edges now stretched over to the trees,and beat even more rapidly as it's strength grew. Red lights started to surround it like the arctic lights,waving along the sides in a graceful manner. Shini Gami listened to his howl,her ears pricked and tail lashing the air. But,she knew it would only benefit her in the most.

Hachiman's howl ended with a different note. The howl soon turned into a feline-like growl. The power that was forcing the ground down stopped, showing deep gashes in the ground. Another area of the field had a wide pit. Rising up through the air, he found himself looking down at Shini Gami, or at least a copy of her. His tails moved as one, extending themselves behind him. Flashes of electricity began to come out of the tips of his tails. Then the shocks grew bigger, then started to rise above the god.

Shini Gami watched this scene. She watched the lightning with a sort of awe,then she started to get serious. She wasn't fond of stuff that produced light but,she'd overcome that silly thing. Her body crouched down,her hind wiggling as her clones leaped at Hachigami with shear force.

Hachiman's tails had detected the shift in air. Before one of the paws could come touch his paw, he started to fade away. A wind helped his body turn to bits, almost forming a moving image of him. The electricity began to follow him, though weaker. He reassembled himself a few feet away, higher up. As his form finally looked solid, the electricity began to float around his head. His tails wrapped around each other, then opened. The red tips glowed for only a few seconds. A paw reached out in the air, then pushed itself out of it's wrapping; the tails. A copy of Hachiman appeared, though it was smaller. It had three tails, but still acted the same as his. It's tail tips were glowing orange though, while several other spots on it glowing as well.

Shini Gami slid in mid air,her claws clinging to the wind. Her head tilted at Hachigami,her twin's pelt starting to melt away. They revealed their true forms; The kits she had. They were older,more mature. Their eyes glowed of all different shades,and each one was unique. One was big,with a foreleg wrapping while another was kit-like in size with autumn colored yellow iris. Shini Gami sat down,looking at Hachigami. "You wanna play too huh.. Come! Play with my children." She grinned.

Hachiman looked up at the god, and snarled. The clone however, turned towards him. It opened it's mouth to speak, but quickly closed it. The colors started to flash faster, then it settled back to it's original orange. The clone sent a spark of electricity at Hachiman, then he opened his mouth. The spark moved inside of it, but then it turned into a small ball. He turned his maw at one of the mature kits, aiming to send the ball at it.

Shini Gami turned to her kits. One of her mature kits expanded its shadowy jaw as its tail was sparking with a vibrant blue shock. It snapped its tail in the air,staring at Hachiman. It was of the element of electricity. All of her kits would save each other,they do have a right of mind.

The clone made a tsk noise and the ball moved, leaving small sparks of electricity behind. The ball was taking shape, slowly becoming in the shape of a fox. Hachiman sent a line of electricity at the growing ball, causing a bright flash. The glowing ball had turned into a fox; another clone of Hachiman. It was light blue and had 4 tails. The tips of the tails, however, were dark blue.
