Hachiman looked at the fox, then turned around. "Then you worry about your family then? I did not expect this from a Death Clan fox." He chuckled, but was genuinely surprised. He stopped walking, then walked to the border. Walking up to the fox, his bright eyes glowed as he gazed down at him. "I'm not sure If I see evil in your eyes, or your soul." He then put his paw across the border, instantly feeling a chill. His pelt prickled with the feeling, knowing she would know that he was here, and that he had crossed. Jumping in the air, he soon shed his body from mortal eyes, becoming invisible again. Climbing higher and farther into her territory, the feeling washed over him. Feeling a shiver come on, he quickly landed in a plain, not far from a village.

Falcon went to dive on the fox as his paw crossed the border but,he vanished. Jumping to his paws and running away toward his town. His clan was hidden in a cave,only a Death Clan member knew where to find this place. Falcon rushed through trees,slowing down as he came to a large boulder. His body jumped over it as he walked over and fell into a hole. This was actually an escape tunnel,hidden from other clans. He padded through a short strip into the clearing of dens that laid ahead.

Casting a wary sniff, he quickly took to the air again. He was only a few feet above ground, but high enough not to disturb anything below. He didn't like the feel on the land, and he wondered how the Death God treated it. Compared to his land, it felt like mushy goo that would swallow him up if he stepped on the wrong places. He went up higher when he noticed foxes approaching, and watched as they snarled at each other. Soon, they were rolling around fighting. He could see the pulled fur and the blood on the ground, but he stayed silent. When they stopped, he could see bleeding wounds on both of them, but most were on a small, dark brown fox. "Weakling." The bigger fox spat out, turning away in disgust. "You disgust me, puny little Life Clan filth." The fox walked away, but the other fox just sat there. It was motionless for quite a while, looking at the spot where the fox just was. He figured that he shouldn't appear to the fox, and continued to walk on. He surveyed the territory, unsure about what he was going to do. As he was the god of life, he could easily grant it, and painfully take it away. Scanning the area, he looked for foxes. He didn't bother with the one that he had passed, he could feel the she foxes humor. She wasn't quite there, but was too far into the pit of evil.

Falcon searched around the dens,only for his father to greet him. Claire came out of his family's den,her eyes filled with joy. Unusual.. Falcon thought. But,it wasn't his problem. Claire padded off to the exit if the ancient ruins they lived in,climbing high onto many rocks. Against the light,her ribs shined bright among her pelt,her collar dangling,and eyes shown with youth. Walking and walking,she found a black fox standing tall. They exchanged glances,then started to growl. It was a typical greeting to one another,to fight. It's how you earn your name in Death Clan. Claire lunged at the fox,hissing. The fox rashes to its hind legs and took the hit,all the while getting a good grip on her scruff. They tumbled forward on the rocky surface,both viciously attacking each other's necks and legs. Until finally,Claire drove her fangs deeply into his ear,causing a wild plead for help from the fox. Blood was splattered across the clearing,some on Claire's fur and somewhat on the others.

Hachiman continued off on his sight-seeing. wondering what the next problem he'll face. He noticed a figure moving higher and higher, and decided to follow that. Walking on air behind her, he watched silently as she continued to walk. He noticed a black fox up the hill, and they hissed at each other. Such violence, such bloodshed. He thought to himself, though he watched the battle. Blood and fur were around the foxes, and a splatter of blood passed through him. For a moment, he felt the warm liquid on his body, then it passed through. He watched the fox, his eyes glowing as he peered into it. He was aware that his eyes were visible, floating balls of light that were hovering above the ground. Moving closer, his eyes looking down at the fox's. The fox's eyes widened in surprise, then he let out a hiss and tried to swipe at him. The swipe passed through him, and he grabbed the black fox's neck. It let out a hiss and began to struggle, until he clamped down on it. Blood began to splatter across the ground, until his body vanished with black smoke. The smoke began to drift away, rising higher and higher to the sky. The blood on the other fox and the blood on the ground blew up in smoke also, rising up. He landed on the ground, and let his body show, but muted the noise to mortal ears. "Judgement has been passed. Tell me fox, how many evil things have you've down?" He asked, waiting to see how she would respond.

Claire watched this scene unfold. She raced over to her clan member,but then he just vanished into smoke. "Scar!" she called out,looking around. Her ears bent back,her claws unsheathed as she turned to the god. "Life clan.. Should've known!" she spat at Hachiman. She listened to his question,and let out a hiss. "Only Shini Gami will know such!" Claire was outraged. He took a member of her clan,and he was perfectly fine! She was prepared to battle now. She knew she could take on a god,and she was the leader of Death Clan. She would bring Hachiman to Shini Gami,if she won of course.

Hachiman looked at her raged, wondering who the fox was. "Oh so you want to battle me?" He asked, surprised that she would be so angry. Must be a normal thing... Such a violent greeting, it would fit for such a clan. Seeing her stance, he looked her over, and soon realized who she was. "So you are the leader of Death Clan? Shini Gami can't just work it out, so I have to play almost as bad as her." Exposing his sound to mortals, he let his growls rang out. He wasn't sure that she could hear it before or not, but his body grew. His tail lashed out, then more tails began to sprout out of his original tail. His eyes began to glow a dull yellow, and the chains from his ears began to glow as well. Turning around, he jumped into the air again, showing his fangs. "I doubt that you will keep my message intact and whole by the time you tell her, so I'm not going to ruin her leader. Even if you are leader, me and Shini Gami are higher beings then yourself." His voice grew deeper as he continued, and then his tails vanished. His eyes returned to their normal paleness, and his chains continued to dangle. "You're not going to be hospital? Or should I pass more judgement?" He taunted her, but then turned around. Suddenly walking off, he floated just slightly above the ground.

Claire grew more defensive at his size. She was born to stand her ground,and would never take defeat for an answer. She let out a long,horrid howl from deep within her throat. This,was considered a ceremony cry. To the Death Clan,it meant to keep defenses up and not to leave the ruins. With that,Claire had to take the run. She knew what he said was true,and thoughts were deceiving. Claire turned around with a quick motion and ran under Hachiman. She jumped over a root that was along the mountain,and padded down the rocky terrain. She landed at a rather large hole,bigger then her by all means. She walked inside,and found herself in the ruins on that spiral entrance toward the village.

Hachiman followed her quietly, being careful about his effects on his surroundings. He was hesitant about stepping into the hole, but did anyway. Seeing there surroundings, it looked like some ruins. Floating behind the Death Clan leader, he let himself touch the ground. He wished he hadn't. He felt the aura of the place creep into him, and this rattled him. His tails soon extended again, gently wavering over him. They left cracks on the ruins as they touched the walls. He looked at the entrance of the camp, feeling the beings inside the village. He could also feel more evil aura's too, and his paws were itching to pass judgement. He resisted, but his tails still made cracks on the ruins.

Claire ran down,not noticing anything following her. While she ran,she was greeted by Falcon. They went through a quick fight,and then she was lost. Where was she going? Claire growled,wishing her memory was much better. She paced and paced,and then felt an evil aura past through her. Shini Gami.. The Death Fox was prancing in the air as she sensed something full of life. She knew it had to be that foolish god.. Hachiman. She stood before the steps,foxes passing through her as she awaited him.

Hachiman watched there fight, recognizing the fox from the border. He watched the fighting, and know installed in his memory that fighting between them was common. Seeing her frustrated, the god knew that she couldn't see them anymore. He watched as Claire and saw a change in the air, and he could feel the air of Shini Gami. Whipping his head, he spotted her standing on the steps. Walking towards him warily, he made sure to float above the foxes. "Your foxes have strange customs." Was all he said, not knowing what she was going to do.

Shini Gami nodded. She would not fight in her own home. "It's a way of greeting. It establishes a good name,and a personalized profile." She stated. Her eyes looked around,glancing about. "What brings you here? I'm sure you wouldn't dare judge my land. You should've known what you would see." She smiled evily. Claire was pacing,then stopped. She got out of her thoughts and side before walking off.

Hachiman was surprised about how she spoke about her foxes. It sounded like she took pride in what they did, though he didn't know for sure. Of course she does. "I've wondered how your well being is, of course." He added sarcastically, something that was new for him. "A meeting perhaps? Or I just happened to find your foxes sniffing along my border?" He added with a low growl, looking at the foxes that walked by. The foxes were oblivious to them, except for both Life and Death auras.

Shini Gami laughed. "Your borders huh? Oh they're probably gathering secrets. Come,I'll show you what I'm talking about." She said,walking by Hachiman. She was unseen to all her foxes. To them,she was a god of gods,and to be seen was the most amazing thing they have ever seen. Shini Gami walked toward the elder's den. It was just a big cave,with a flame in the middle. Old foxes of all patterns stood around the fire. "I have heard of the ways of Life Clan. You know,one of our own blood mated with one." A brown elder said. The others hissed at the story. Shini only laughed,not heard to them.

Hachiman followed slightly behind the Death God, eyeing the walls of the den. Seeing the group of foxes around in a circle, he was curious to see what they were saying. He kept up with the Death God, but heard the elder. He let out a hmph as he heard the foxes' response, but kept walking. She only laughed at the story, while he stayed quiet. "Where are we going?" He asked.

Shini Gami sat down beside the flame,her eyes fixed on it. "Watch the flame." Shini Gami said. She reached a paw to it,the flames growing very high as the elders gasped. "I believe the gods are asking for a better story.." One black elder said. Claire then walked in,her eyes narrowed as she whipped her tail. "About what exactly? We have no news on Life Clan. If they come at night,they will be caught within our territory. We are the element of night and we will kill. Don't talk about mating stories with Life Clan anymore. He is dead to me." She snarled. The elder bowed her head. "Ok Claire.."

Hachiman eyed the fire before she sat down next to it. He watched the elder's reaction, guessing that she had a way with her subjects. Knowing the clan's ways, their god must be even worse when it came to fighting and blood. He saw the leader come in, and learned her name. Claire.. The name clicked into his memory, but he soon whipped his head to her at the last bit of her sentence. He had seen several relationships between Life Clan and Death Clan, though most ended in switching sides or bloodshed. Since the last one, he had forbidden any mating with Death Clan. He was especially keen to keep an eye on the young foxes, since they were curious about the other clan. He had caught a few foxes trying to meet another fox on the other side of the border. "What is this elder saying?" He yapped, the story bothering him. He hadn't seen any foxes trying to meet one another for a long time, but instead, had discovered that they had mated already.

Shini Gami smirked. "Listen. Sit down beside me,I told you I refuse to fight on my land." She then burnt the fire higher,letting it flow towards Claire. Hands.. It looked like flaming fingers pointing to Claire as she walked in. "Claire,the gods wish for you to tell your story. You had to mention it." A blue fox said. Claire sighed. She had sat down,staring into the flame. "When I was three years of age.. Being deputy of this clan,I had encountered a Life Clan fox on my territory. After that,I have him the old greeting. He was.. Interestingly strong. Our personalities were opposites,but we fought till we fainted. I was held captive under that fox.. I was interrogated. Although,being stubborn as I am,I had never have a word. But,we had grown to like each other over the weeks. We spent more time,together.. And we did an investigation ourselves." She let a slight grin come across her face. The blue fox laughed,her fangs showing as purple beads bounced. "Now,who was this males name?" Ice asked. Claire smiled,showing for once a passion. "Roku.."

Hachiman waved his tail at the name. He had known that fox, he was a apprentice for one of the captains elite warriors. He had never finished his training because he disappeared, though only the god knew why. He had watched him with the Death Clan fox, though he didn't stay for long. Even he didn't know what happened to him, he could feel his presence disappear. He had accepted the fact that the fox was killed by the Death Clan fox, or was there something more? Could he had gone over to the Death Clan side, or did he somehow run away to somewhere else? He saw the flame, and he wanted to know more about the leader, wanted to ask even more questions. Instead, he stayed quite and looked at her. He wasn't going to interfere with Shini Gami's flame just for the sake of his question.

Shini Gami laughed at the curiosity of Hachiman. "You wish to know more,I can tell." she grinned. Her flame dimmed a bit,but Claire seemed to go on. "Rio.. He wished to be with me,and I couldn't let him. With you guys,you would've torn him to bits!" the elders nodded,admitting her words. "He told me we should just run away.. Run to the forbidden land. I did accept the offer though,and you guys know of my disappearance. But,as we went to the forbidden land.. Something repelled me not to go. Rio was drawn in though.. He.. He wouldn't listen. There was metal.. Harder then any kind and then leather.. Or what seemed like our pelts wrapped in short strands. He was token from me,and he shouted to me to run. I almost fell victim,but I was fast." Claire lowered to the ground,her paws curling under her as she frowned. "Rio.. Even I knew what was his destiny not long after that.." The blue fox got off her stomach and walked toward Claire. She had a white underbelly,and black paws. She was painted with red tribal markings,and wore a sacred bracelet. She was the fortune teller of Death Clan. "Now now,you choose your own paths. It was your fault though,he died." She laid down a harsh statement,Claire nodding. She seemed to accept that,and knew it too.

Hachiman listened intently, almost nodding alone with her. He didn't dare appear to the foxes, even if he wanted to speak to them. As another fox came to Claire, he took in what the fox said. "I believe that your fox has a crack in her." He said, and eyed the leader. He was beginning to find himself surprised by the Death Clan foxes, and would have to wait before he judged them. He already knew their viscous customs, but some of them weren't speaking death. At least not the ones he had found.

Shini Gami sighed. "A crack? Explain what you mean. My foxes are smart,and know who's where and what's what. Especially Claire. She has a quite bright history. I would tell you her birth mother,but it involves something quite touching. It sickens my soul." Shini Gami laughed. She walked away from the flame,leading Hachiman outside. She walked off toward the ruins. "Come,if you wish to see kits." She smiled wickedly. Shini Gami had stopped as she had appeared before Colin's that were broken. Flowers of white and yellow colors had grown in a large patch between those columns. Two kits,of colors of white and black rolled around. They were playing 'war'. "I am Death Clan! Rah!" The white fox leaped on his brother,viciously biting his paw. The other brother whimpered. "But I'm always Death Clan! I hate being the Life!" He hissed as he bit back.

Hachiman followed her, keeping in line right behind her. He walked on her right, and eyed the kits. He knew what would come from their mouth's, and it his suspicion was right. After all, they wouldn't be hostile to each other without teaching their kits the same ways? This would keep the cycle alive, though even his foxes had stories and play-fights about Death Clan. If his foxes did it, he wouldn't be surprised if her's did either. "I see that the cycle of prejudice and play-fights continue to circle on. What do you plan for this kits once they grow of age? Same as the other warriors?" He asked, but his gaze was on the flowers. Remembering her request for an explanation, he spoke again. "It would take a lot of discipline and words from others to forget one's past. The past will always stay with her, and a little reminder of the incident would weaken her resolve." He said with a hint of something extra in his voice, and returned his gaze toward the kits.

Shini Gami sat down,her eyes fixed on them. "Warriors. We have ranks for warriors. You have your first class that is always training and misfits. You have second class. They are the border patrol. Then you have third class. They are the war foxes. They consist of intelligent life,and brute killers. They are the heart of the name Death." She smirked. The kits fought on,then stopped. The white kit walked toward where Shini Gami was,as if seeing her. But,the kit walked right through her. "Brother,I believe I heard bells." He said. The brother lifted his head. "Hmm? Well,kits aren't allowed to socialize with them. They're killers! Lucky."

Hachiman listened to their conversation briefly, before asking a question. "Kits aren't allowed to talk to the warriors?" He asked, looking at the kit that has just passed through the god. She didn't seem to be bothered by passing through things. More flesh and blood then her. His mind concluded. He took a step back, just to make sure that the kit didn't pass through him. If he did, he would know that the god was there. He whipped his tail again, wondering what was next. She seemed to be polite, unlike how she was today. Was this really the Shini Gami, the Death God? No, he thought, I doubt she acts like that around her subjects. He yawned lightly, ready for the next spot.
