Jewel motioned her head to Rapide,then jerking it towards the wounded zebra. If he didn't get in his spot on time,then she's taking full credit for catching this one.

Rapide took his spot, muscles tensed. This zebra wouldn't escape.

With a quick pounce she was right behind it. The zebra took off away from its herd as it limped and limped. Foolish creature,she thought. They were now in pursuit,Jewel leaping onto it's hindquarters and biting the wound,waiting for Rapide.

Rapide lunged, his jaws wrapped around the zebra's throat. The tough skin was rather hard to break, and he bit down as hard as he could.

The zebra started to slow down,letting out it's unusual call as it bucked and bucked. It's body heaved down as Jewel fiercely bit down on it's throat beside Rapide.

Rapide jumped on its back, fiercely grabbing its mane and shaking is head furiousy.

The zebra's life soon ended,coming completely motionless under the two's weight. Jewel gave it a last shake before sinking her teeth into it's flank. "Time to eat!" she hissed in a joking manner.

Rapide panted, grinning. He crouched down, digging into the meat with his tail wagging back and forth.

Jewel teared through the rough flesh,her jaw cracking the bones of this animal's skeleton. It had no chance anyway with her speed,physical strength,and wits. She was used to hunting too,and enjoyed every second of a good hunt.

The zebra's blood was sweat against his tongue. The meat crunched easily against his sharp teeth and he swallowed. He licked his chops and leaned down for more.

Jewel glared around,searching for those hidden laughters in the tall grass. She always hated those little pricks. She swallowed a piece whole,taking no time in enjoying the meat.

Rapide noticed her looking around. He licked his lips again and tilted his head. "What are you looking for?" he asked. Even though the grass was rather tall and hid them well there could be plenty of predators around, or perhaps a hungry hyena pack or cheetah, or even worse a angry lion.

Jewel looked at Rapide,licking her white chin off of any blood spots. "Hyenas. Those laughing bastards always aggravate me." she said with a hint of a snarl in her voice.

Rapide stretched and yawned. "Don't worry," he said, nudging her. "I'll protect you." He arched his back in another stretch.
