A large Lion stood not to far away. He heard the sounds of the crying boars,and seeing Jewel with the gazelle. He edged forward,wanting the meal more then ever. Jewel lifted her white head,her eyes narrowed as she hissed at him.

Rapide rolled over onto his back on the branch, his hind legs hanging limply over the edge of the branch. He yawned, his belly full and the cool savanna wind blowing his fur. However, the wind brought him another scent: lion. And that female. He turned his head and snorted. These lions were always coming out; why couldn't they just stay away? He leaped down from the tree and followed the scent, his tail kinked.

The lion circled her,Jewel guarding her kill as she slowly dragged it away. She hissed at him,the lion letting out a roar to her.

The roar echoed in his ears. Rapide lowered himself to the ground and followed the scent of lion, his ears pricked.

(xD great minds think... well act alike!)

The lion lunged at Jewel,the cheetah moving just in time with the carcass. She leaped on the lion's back,her claws digging into it's sides as her jaw gripped the fluffy mane. The lion twirled and roared,wanting the cheetah off him.

He crouched in the bushes, eyes focused on the lion. He needed to find the lion's sensitive spot.

Jewel and the lion kept on fighting the big cat,both hurdling about on the ground.

Rapide leaped and landed on the lion's rear and dug his claws into it's flesh.

The lion roared in pain,Jewel turning her head slightly as she saw Rapide. She wasn't surprised,she knew where he lived anyway by his scent markings. She continued her part,her claws digging down his shoulders as the lion finally gave a defeating roar.

Rapide clawed at the lion's haunches, watching it flee. He faced Jewel, flicking an ear. "You okay?" he asked, panting.

Jewel nodded to rapide,her eyes fixed on the lion. She then went back to her fresh kill,eating at the bones and flesh.

Rapide stretched, the wounds on his pelt stinging. He licked at the cut on his shoulder and yawned. "Need anything else?" he asked.

Jewel got up,dragging whatever was left of the kill to the tall tree she sat under. She dropped it near the sunny rock and climbed up it.
