Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Athea had managed to hear him just fine. She let out a shaky sigh and calmed herself. Regaining her composure, she went and grabbed the bag she had left on the hard ground. Shrugging it on, Athea looked at him. "I appreciate the offer, Damien. But I can't take it. If you stick with me, then you're bound to die. I won't allow that," she said, voice strong, like it had previously been. She stepped passed him and looked up at him, her brown eyes watching him intently. "I guess this is goodbye. It was nice talking to you, I guess. Stay safe," Athea said softly before she made her way outside, ready to go head first into the danger she knew would eventually get her killed.

Damien watched her gather her things and head towards the entrance. A frown laced his lips but he made it fade. She turned around and faced him, and he forced a shrug. "Watch your back" He said, and leaned back against the rock.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Athea nodded softly at Damien's words and walked out into the rain. Making it to the tree line, Athea jumped up, gracefully grabbing a sturdy branch and pulling herself up easily, diappearing into the greenery. Moving through the closely knitted branches, Athea noticed that people were now out searching for them. However, they weren't going anywhere near the cave. Moving through the trees quickly and quietly.
Athea could sense silent magic. just a prick against her senses and she instantly knew that an assassin had already been hired to assassinate her. Moving quicker through the trees, thunder clapped the sky, sending villagers back home. She could still sense the magic. They were still here. However, Athea continued to move, deciding to ignore it for now. She had no destination. Just to run.
The wind was suddenly knocked out of her as a body came crashing into her own, sending her to the ground. Twisting slightly, athea landed gracefully on all fours, before she stood up. A tall, burly man stood 12 feet away from her, his hair starting to grey, wearing a black mask. His sharp grey eyes stared at her and athea pulled out her daggers. The man lunged at her and she easily dodged. Men were alot slower then her. However, if she was hit by him, she was a goner.
She had speed, not strength. And this man obviously had strength. He twist midstride and slashed his blade through the air, hoping to get her. Athea ducked before she lunged forward, driving a dagger into his leg and sending him to the ground, anrrowly dodging his blade along the way. She threw a dagger into the trees and another man fell to the ground, blade through his head. Athea looked down at the burly man she had gotten in the head before she walked over to the dead guy, grabbed her dagger and continued to walk off.
Damn it. She had to get away. She was also convinced to keep hidden from Kairav, too. It'd be safer for him.
~~
Following her scent, Kairav found the cave and he landed heavily, water dripping off of him. Sighing, he walked inside, ducking his head to fit. Looking around, he only saw Damien and he hissed at him. "Where is Athea?" he asked the man, tail lashing. He had to find her. And fast.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Damien let his head fall back and rested his eyes. The dripping of water sounding every so often. Expelling a breath, he pulled his hands behind his head and drifted off into a light sleep.
Sadie apologized for having to leave, and took to the air. Her bright blue wings catching the air and pushing it downwards. She let out a heavy breath, releasing smoke from her nostrils. She frowned when she didn't see Damien in town.She snorted, knowing he had probably run off without her. Sadie's well trained eyes followed the usual trail to the clearing that represented their cave. Her slender neck turned back to the town for a last glance before she set out towards the cave.
Damien yelled loudly at the gryphon's voice, and his chest heaved for a few seconds afterward. "Don't do that!" He snapped, straightening out his shirt before standing up. His hand smoothed out his hair and he shook his head. "She left, I don't know where she went." He said, and leaned back against the rock. "Go find her, she might be in trouble" He told the creature.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Athea moved quickly and quietly through the trees, making sure to keep out of sight of any stray men who were still looking for her and Damien. Scowling, she pulled herself into the confines of the trees again, creeping through the entwined branches in silence. At one point, she nearly slipped from the branch, due to the rain and she cursed a string of very unladylike words before righting herself and continuing. Honestly, she detested the rain. It was already slippery and she hated it. Sighing, Athea sat back for a moment, relaxing and calming herself before she finally continued.
Athea was caught off guard as a dagger embedded itself into her thigh. Yelping out in surprise, she went to the ground. Landing with a heavy thud, she gasped in surprise, all the wind being knocked out of her. Dammit. Struggling to her feet, Athea pulled the dagger out of her thigh with a grunt. Who was here? She hadn't sensed them at all. Damn, she was getting rusty.
A small group of men stepped out and she knew why she hadn't noticed them. They were the group known as Mist Assassins. A small groups of assassins who's magic was unable to be sensed in the rain. A deadlt group that only ever showed in rain. Great. So now they were after her. Fantastic. Her leg hurt like a bitch, but Athea gripped her daggers loosely yet firmly and, crouching slightly into a defensive stance. She definately was not going to die after just deciding she was going to leave her life as an assassin.
~~~
Chuckling darkly at the man's momentary panic, Kairav's tail ceased and a humored purr escaped his beak. Then the man said she wasn't here and the griffin hissed lightly. "she left?" he asked, panic terrorising his body, "damn it, you shouldn't have let her go! Athea isn't as strong as she seems," the griffin said, glancing outside. "Come with me. Please." he begged the man.
But before he could reject him, the griffin gripped the man's shirt and pulled him out of the cave, throwing him onto his back. Taking off into the sky, ignoring the thunder and rain, He pushed himself faster to find her. "Where the hell are you, Athea?" the griffin murmured with a hiss. "See her?" Kairav asked the man, concern lacing his every word.
(When he finds him, you can control Kairav to land but not attack )
Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Damien was shaking his head when the beaked beast yanked him from the dry cave. He cried out, and gripped the Gryphon's feathers and fur tightly as he pumped himself into the air. "Damnit put me down!" He yelled, his heart racing as the Earth shrunk beneath them. He slowed his breathing and forced himself to calm down. "No, I don't-- Wait, there she is!" He said, pointing down towards a small clearing of the conifers and he squinted. He saw around four or five other people with her- they seemed to be men.
Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Athea watched the three men she could see, the other one behind her out of her line of sight. Two lunged for her and she ducked down, rolling on the ground, right out of their reach and threw a dagger, standing up. The man deflected her perfect aim with his own dagger and she grunted in dissatisfaction before another made his move towards her. This one had a short sword and he swung it at her head height quickly. Ducking down, the blade nearly hit. "Too close," she whispered to herself before leaning slightly and cutting his calf with her own dagger before staggering back, out of reach of his swinging blade. Blood splattered the wet ground, though was quickly washed away by the rain. Unfortuneately, most of it came from her.
She was losing blood, and fast. But she'd somehow survive. A man came from behind and clipped her shoulder with his own blade. Sucking in a sharp breath as another advanced on her, the man behind her holding her still. Growling, she plunged her dagger she had in her hand into the man's stomach. He let go and dropped to the ground and she quickly moved back, stumbling over the pain in her leg.
"Holy shit. It had to be now, didn't it? It's cold, i'm hungry and i'm bloody tired. Can't a girl get a break?" Athea muttered to herself, quickly pulling herself into a tree, avoiding a dagger which was thrown. Leaping down, Athea tackled one to the ground before she stepped agiley away from him and the other. Facing the four, Athea sighed. Would she really get out of this alive?
~~~
Hearing Damien as he said he had found her, Kairav banked sharply to the left, ripping through the tree branches which were in his way and landed roughly infront of Athea. Shaking the man from his back, the large white griffin stepped forward, opened his wings, tail lashing, eyes ablaze as he screeched loudly at the men. The group looked at one another, then their injured comrades before they vanished. However, both Athea and Kairav would be back. With allies. Turning to the young woman, Kairav's whole body shook with rage. "Athea!" he growled.
Which only earned him a weak smile, "Hey, Kai," Athea said before looking down at her leg, which was still bleeding. "Mind if I had a bit of help here?" she asked the griffin, glancing over at Damien for a moment before scowling at the griffin. Why'd he bring him here? Athea didn't even want Kairav here. It'd be safer for everyone to be away from her. So then only her was eventually killed and no one else.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Damien grunted as he fell to the soaked ground. He pulled himself onto his hands and knees and wiped his face free of the liquid and dirt. He shook his head and pulled himself up using a tree. Stupid animal, he thought. His eyes narrowing slightly. He glanced up the tree at the injured woman, and then back at the gryphon. They had things under control. With a shake of his head, Damien turned around and walked into the forest. He could still hear their words but he tried to focus on the pitter-patter of rain.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Athea watched as Damien went into the trees and sighed. Though she didn't want him to get killed, she couldn't help the slight pang in her chest when he walked away. Shaken from her thoughts when Kairav nudged her, waiting. Looking at the white griffin, Athea let him help her to stand. Looking back at where Damien was walking away, Athea gave a thankful smile.
However, Kairav had different ideas. The griffin stood tall and looked voer at Damien. "Oi!" he called to him. Athea couldn't remember the last time he had called a man by his actual name. "Don't walk away from us. You're going to help us. You got Athea into this mess, and until she's out of it, you're going to stay with us," he called, walking after him and stubbornly pulling him back to her.
Athea couldn't help but look at Kairav like he'd grown three heads. Why would he want Damien to stay with them? Didn't he hate the man? No, Athea was certain he hated the man... So why? Though, Athea didn't protest. Kairav had his reasons, and if he had asked Damien to stay with them, there had to be a good reason for it.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
[[ Eeek.... Sorry. You should get that checked out... Rat bites are nasty, let alone when they're that deep... ]]
Damien centered himself and was reaching for a branch when he heard the gryphon's voice behind him. He froze, but the gryphon gripped him and pulled him back. "Jesus Christ!" He growled, yanking himself from the creature's grip. He frowned and brushed the dirt from his shins as he stood up. "Do I get any say in what I do around here? And it wasn't me who got her into trouble" He spat, his eyes narrowing as he shrugged his bag more securely onto his shoulder. Damien grimaced, only then noticing that he had sprained his shoulder when he was thrown from the gryphon's back. "So no. I'm not staying. I offered my help before and was declined." He growled, his voice gruff and low. He turned around on his heels and treaded down the path he was on before. This time he pulled himself up into the tree and settled into a V in its branches.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
(yeah, it hurts, but i'll survive. Mum is a nurse in training )
"He already asked?" Kairav questioned, turning to look at Athea. She looked away, a little sheepish before nodding. "Idiot," the griffin mumbled, before he watched the man leave. "No. He's got to come with us. As much as I hate to admit it, he's strong and could really help us. Athea, I know you've been thinking about leaving the assassin world. I'm not stupid, I do notice things. But we can't do it without help," Kairav said before he trotted off to go find him. However, he ran right past the tree that Damien was staying in.
Athea sighed and she went and sat down, leaning against the tree which Damien was staying in. Though she didn't look up at him. "I'm sorry. If you really had wanted to help me, i'm sorry for refusing your offer, but I don't want anyone that I know or care about to get killed anymore. If I could help it, i wouldn't let Kai stay either, but I know I can't convince him of that,"" she said, glancing up at him quickly before staring straight ahead. Damn her leg hurt.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Damien watched as the gryphon trotted past him and down the trail. He let out a small sigh and let his head fall against the rough bark of the elm tree. He was several feet up, but not enough to hurt himself if he was to fall. Not that he would- he slept in trees most of his life. He folded his hands over his lap and rested his eyes. The gentle breeze caressing his skin and cooling him. A shuffle arose from beneath him, and Damien glanced down to see Athea resting below him. He sighed and looked forward again. He listened to her voice, but didn't really pay attention to her words. "It's alright" He said, his voice low as he watched a bird fly from a branch and land near the creek. He glanced back up at the sky and saw Sadie. A smile split across his lips and he let out a four-toned whistle. She turned on a dime, her wings catching the wind and pushing her in the other direction. "Hey girl" He crooned, and she made a purring/chirping noise as she landed in the tree. She clambered into his lap and curled into a ball. He scratched her chin and grinned when she made a noise similar to a tweeting bird.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Athea heard the man whistle and she glanced up to see Sadie flying towards him. Grinning softly, she rested her head back against the wet bark with a sigh. She listened to the sounds the small dragon made and she couldn't help but smile. They really cared about eachother. The rain hit her wound and she winced before she looked at it for a long while, trying to figure out what she could do about it. She had forgotten to grab first aid supplies back at town. Damn she was stupid. Before it started healing, she needed to clean it.
Groaning softly, Athea glanced back up at Damien and Sadie, wondering what she should do now. She couldn't get very far with an injured leg, so Kai would easily find her. And now that she thought about, though she didn't want Damien to get hurt, she did want to stay with him for some reason. "Hey," she said softly, looking ahead again, thinking, "Do you think that you and Sadie woud be interested in coming with me and Kai to my home town?" she asked. Sure, she couldn't remember her parents, and she could only remember the bullying she received as a kid there, but she had no real home. Maybe someone would recognise her and let her stay. "Though, you don't have to help me fight when trouble comes to us. I don't want you dieing, afterall," she said, her clear brown eyes looking back up at him again.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Damien's breath slowed as he methodically rubbed the little dragon's back, her eyes shut and her breathing slow. He watched the clouds pass and after a while he glanced down at Athea. She winced about that time and he looked at her wound. It was quite terrible, he though. Sadie stretched and dove out of the branches of the tree. She landed beside the woman and looked her over, their noses almost touching. She purred slightly as she curiously looked at her, then she spun around in a circle and began playing in a puddle of water. Damien watched with a smirk, then lowered himself from the tree. He kneeled beside Athea and unzipped his bag. "Sure, it sounds like a good way to pass time" He said as he pulled out a bandage and some fresh water. He looked the wound over from a closer angle before he rinsed it out gently.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Athea blinked in surprise when Sadie came to stare at her, their faces basically touching. Athea gave a half hearted smile before the dragon spun around and splashed in a puddle. The young woman couldn't help but give a small chuckle. A moment later, Damien was kneeling beside her, accepting her offer. She cocked her head to the side with a grin, "A good way to pass the time?" she questioned before grinning a few moments later, "wasn't what I was expecting you to say," she said light heartedly.
Then Damien was studying her leg and she couldn't help but feel small and weak under his gaze. Then he started to rinse it out with water and she visibly winced, taking in a sharp breath. It was deep, that was for sure. "Thanks," Athea said lightly, moving her gaze to her leg before looking back at Damien. Silence passed between them before she said, "Sadie seems nice. You're lucky you have a friend like her," she watched the dragon momentarily before returning her gaze once again to the frustratingly attractive man in front of her.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Damien winced when she did, knowing how painful it must be. "Sorry" He said softly, and was especially careful as he bandaged the wound. He made sure it was secure before looking up at her. A moment of silence stilled the forest as their gazes held, but they both looked away shortly after. The droplets of water cold surprises now that the rain had slowed to a trickle. Damien nodded at her comment, and looked over at the blue dragon. She stopped, noticing their looks. She made an unsure yipping sound and tossed her head. Her flexible neck letting her head roll back and then forward again. She was smiling now, and she strutted over to the two. She slowed near the woman, and nipped at her fingers softly. She pushed her way under Athea's touch and crooned, her eyes closing as she rolled onto her back. Damien laughed at the pushy reptile, then sat back and rested his weight against his palms.

Athea shook her head softly when Damien apologised. "Thanks for that," Athea said when he finished with the bandaging. When the dragon came over and pushed her way beneath her hands, the woman smiled and stroked the dragon's stomach as she rolled onto her back. Unfortuneately, Kai was never looking for attention. Sometimes it was disappointing, but then again, Athea couldn't really imagine him as a nice griffin. It was wasn't him. Athea gave a soft chuckle at the dragon's antics before shifting her gaze to Damien as he leaned back.
"How long have you known eachother for?" Athea asked them both, glancing down at Sadie for a moment before looking back at Damien. She was now glad she had trusted her instincs and hadn't killed him. Or tried. Athea got the feeling that he was just as good as her, if not better. But even so, Athea's interested towards him was undeniable.

Damien turned his attention to Athea as she spoke. He shrugged softly. "Hard to remember... I found her as a chick when I was wandering around, her mother had abandoned her after she fell from the nest. She was fine though. I was around.... 3 or 4." He said, and smiled as he remembered. She was so small then, barely the size of his hand. He looked over at Sadie as she purred and made sounds that seemed fit for a space war.

(Don't want you getting into trouble, but if you want to, go ahead.)
"That's quite a long time," Athea said softly, looking back down at the dragon, "Similar siuation with Kai, though. Except I was 10. A couple years after I started as a proffessional assassin," she said with a light sigh. "May be hard to imagine, but Kai's been the only thing keeping me completely sane," she looked back at Damien and gave a soft smile. She didn't really know what she'd do without Kai. What would happen to her if he left her. Sure, moments before, she had decided to leave him behind, but she realised just how foolish those thoughts truely had been.

Damien nodded along to her voice. "They are a gift, these creatures.." His voice tailed at the end. Hismind wandering slightly. "Speaking of which... Where is Kai?" He asked, glancing about briefly before returning his gaze to her beautiful brown eyes. He wouldn't admit it, but he found her looks terribly enticing.

Athea couldn't help but give a light laugh as he asked where the griffin was. "Oooh... Probably running around, frantic and frustrated that he hasn't found you yet. He'll come back in about 20 minutes, will see you, be angry for you being here the whole time for about 5 minutes, before he'll fall asleep. That's usually what he does when trying to find someone.." Athea said, looking down at Sadie and scatching her stomach lightly again before looking at Damien again, carefully placing her free hand over her bandaged leg. "However, I don't really think falling asleep here in the rain would the smartest idea. We should probably find somewhere to stay," Athea said, glancing at her leg for a moment before slowly getting to her feet, wincing slightly.

Damien couldn't contain his laughter when she explained the gryphon's behaviour. A grin stained his features as he shook his head slightly. A purr sounded from Sadie moments before she rolled over and darted towards Damien. He flinched, but she leaped into the air and flew inches above his head. "You little twirp!" He grumbled, waving his hands a little before Fathead spoke again. He nodded in aggreement and stood up. He noticed her pain and dipped down. He let her rest an arm around his shoulder and he placed an arm over her waist to help steady her. He hoped she wouldn't mind.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
(Fathead. Never knew Athea was called that now autocorrect?? )
Athea blinked in surprise at Damien's kindness as he let her rest an arm around his shoulders and held an arm around her waist to steady her. She tensed for a moment, unsure, but relaxed a moment later and they started to move. "Thanks," she said softly, looking at the ground momentarily. "Have any ideas? We could go back to that cave if you want. But some people may have noticed our tracks and gone there to wait," Athea said lightly.
After walking for a who knows how long in the rain, they eventually found an abandoned hut in the forest and she walked over to it, pushing the door open and walking inside once being certain no one was in. By now, Athea was freezing and exhausted, but she knew better the to fall asleep cold and wet.. Done that once before. Not again. Athea stumbled from Damien's arms before she went over to the fireplace. Crouching down with a light groan, Athea found some matches which the people had left there and lit the fire. Once it finally came to life and warmed up the small shack, Athea stood, wincng slightly.
Sighing, Athea looked over at Damien for a moment, "if you don't want to see, look away," she said softly before she peeled off her wet shirt and pants, being left in only her bra and knickers. Her long wet hair sticking slightly to her back and sending wet trails down the length of her back and spine. She hung her clothes over a small pole hangingto the side of the fireplace.

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
Damien nodded at her thanks and took her along a path that led to an old hunter's shack. Once there, he watched as she lit a fire. Sadie cuddled up on the warm bricks and sighed. Confused, Damien turned away and stripped the beds of their sheets. He'd rather sleep with out a cover than sleep with bed bugs. When he turned back, Athea was stripped down to her undergarments l. Caught by surprise, he quickly looked back down and felt his face warm. He shook his head to clear his mind and set his bag in a chair. "We should change that bandage since it got so wet" He said before slipping out of his soaking wet shirt.
(Oh my goodness sorry, my phone changed it)

Re: [M] Assassination Limited (Saviour)
"I guess so," Athea replied to what Damien said. But, before she let him, She grabbed his shirt from him and went and hung it up as well. She turned back to him, looking at him for a short while, noticing just was good his body was built. Looking away, a light blush creeping up her cheeks, Athea walked to a chair and gently sat down. She undid the bandage, cringing slightly at the sight of the wound. It was taking longer to heal then it usually would. It'd have to be because she was so tired. Sighing softly, Athea ginerly touched the skin around the wound, wincing at how tender it was.
She realised that she really take advantage of her ability to heal quicker then almost anybody else.
