Adella Takes Another Shot [PG-13] Empty Adella Takes Another Shot [PG-13]

All was quiet in Rainbow Meadow as the early morning mist rolled over the land, blurring the surroundings. There was not a creature in sight, many of them still curled up in their burrows and nests, awaiting the warm rays of the Sun to beckon them out. The delicate silence was suddenly pierced by the distinct sound of hooves pounding against the lush, green earth. Seconds later a dark form materialized from within the thick fog, a bold dapple grey mare appearing soon after. The mare, born of Andalusian blood, paused momentarily to look around the empty clearing with a dark brown right eye, her left eye pale, cloudy, and unseeing. Strong, black legs carried her further into the meadow with a flamboyant, high-stepping trot. Adella lifted her front legs from the ground and raised her blackened muzzle high into the air, emanating a strong, high-pitched neigh, a summoning to any other equines in the area.

Adella lowered the front half of her body back to the earth, dusted with morning dew, and tossed her broad head, flipping her long forlock to cover her blind eye. Assured that she was alone, the Andalusian lowered her head to the fresh, spring flora encircling her black hooves and grazed as she awaited someone to anwser her hopeful call. The strong, unconscious intinct deep within her heart, the intinct to be with others of her kind, had once again subduded her solitary nature and driven her to ingnore her wariness of stallions and seek out a new herd with which to call home. As she waited, she pondered about the horses to come. Would they cast her out because of her disability or welcome her with open arms? If they did welcome her would they give her the freedom she required? She was so preoccupied with these distressing thoughts she didn't realize she'd stopped eating and was staring distantly into space.
