Adele grunted, the pain was horrible. Even the day she sprained her ankle wasn't even this bad. She threw her head up and glared at her rump, tossing her legs wildly around her and trying to push. She dropped her head to rough grass with whimper and pushed again.

Frasco unsure of how to react gently pushed on her belly in attempt to help her. He hoped it'd be over soon and her pain gone. He waited pacently for the hoves to appear.

The petite zebra mare huffed and grumbled as she strained to push her child out. The gentle and encouraging nudge from her mate helped sooth her and slowly, she pushed hard enough for its hooves to appear. One more big push and it would be out. With a final shove, the foal slipped from her body and lay in a messy bundle in the grass.

Frasco smiled at the foal before moving to his mate, "You did it." He said gently then got up saying, "The mothers are suppose to spend the first few hours with their foals alone, call me if you need anything." With that he trotted away but not to far, just enough distance to barley clearly see one another.

(Hey um who should we get to play the foal?)

(its fine by me, its just that we should establish an "order" the posts should go so no one gets left behind.)

Adele smiled back at her mate and returned her attention to the foal at her hooves. She quickly got up and began to licking the tiny blob until it was able to breathe freely and move.

hey could i join as a mare possibly?

(Totally but she must be a zebra! )

Valentine sauntered through the meadow. She was not in a hurry for anything, just enjoying the day. Valentine is a laid back zebra mare who really just goes with the flow. he slowly ambled along, occasionally stopping to munch on an especially good looking patch of grass. she was unaware that she had wandered into another zebra's territory and that the zebra was within leaping distance of her.

Frasco saw another zebra and pinned his ears. Barring his teeth he took off at a charge towards it, unsure if it was or wasn't a stallion. He forced himself to come to a stop and bumped the zebra when he realized it was a mare. He backed up, "Um sorry miss I thought you we're a stallion." He said embarrassed.

Valentine lifted her head. "thats okay. its hard to tell sometimes." She added that last part sarcastically a bit insulted. Valentine moved away from the stallion and continued to graze. she was not a rude zebra, its just that she was not really in the mood for a wooing and she was not particularly looking for a mate at the time.

"Sooo um what's your name? I'm Frasco and that's my mate and foal over there." Frasco said being friendly while hoping she'd join his herd.

[horsegodess]

"im valentine." she said, not lifting her head. she flicked her tail.

"Beautiful name, you got a herd?" Frasco asked curiously but was kind.

[horsegodess]

"no" she awnsered simply. she was not one to complicate anything.

Frasco smiled and asked, "Well would you like to join mine?" His voice seemed to get hopeful.

"im not really a herd person." she said. he would have to convince her to join. she was speaking the truth. she enjoyed living alone. it was peaceful and she didnt have to deal with the drama and ranking status of a herd.

[Guest]

"Alright, well um this is my land." Frasco told her.

[horsegodess]

"well maybe i could stay on your land a bit. i am just passing through but i will need shelter to stay these next couple of nights. i sense that there will be a storm soon." she said. she had finally raised her head and made eye contact with frasco. he was cute with his short stubby legs and his stripes. she flicked her tail.

"Oh well in that case your welcome to stay as long as you like, well in till we move and some over family takes this spot of course." Frasco said then chuckled.

[horsegodess]

"thanks" Valentine said. she nuzzled him a bit, a little drunk by his sweet personality and charming ways. when she snapped out of it, she stepped back, embarassed, avoiding eye contact. "s-sorry" she said.

Frasco accepted the nuzzle. At her apology he was confused, "Why?" He asked.

"well, i barley know you and uh, it just felt akward." It really didnt though. she lied. it felt right.
