Znip and her Mountain Travel Disaster (Anyone welcome, please post reguarly)

Znip...Very young mare indeed. Yet, she was wise, fair, and many other... Good things.

Znip, was in her first heat, and was scared for life. One of her brothers, from her small herd
has attacked her, and she refuses to go back to that herd again, since her father had told
her brother to attack her so. She was dripping blood, especially around her muzzle and her
sides. He was about to force her. She glanced around, looking for a ... peaceful pond to wash
off her wounds. Nothing. Nothing in this dry land, not even a puddle that is.
She took several long strides, and took out a full, graceful gallop, yet still had a limp due to
almost breaking her leg. After a while of galloping through the now lush and green land,
she came upon several new ponds. She chose the one that she could almost see directly
into, and was as clear as glass. She took several hooves in, cold, but felt good upon
her wounds just above her hooves. She walked more into the water, her blood washing
easily off her dapple grey coat. She ducked her head under the water and shot it straight
back up, it felt good to get her mane wet. She trotted out of the water, feeling as if she had
never recieved the random attack, and walked around the flat area, tail flagged, her heat
scent a bit smothered after being in the water.
She snorted, a slight breeze drying off her pelt. Her brown eyes glowed as she looked
around the area for a bit, a mountain range right besides her. She glanced up, thinking about going up
it to see whats on the other side.
She suddenly remembered her scent, knowing it would draw stallions to the area.
She pinned her tail to her rump neatly, but not too tightly and began a slow walk nearing the mountain.

"Calypso- the great thief of the lands"


Calypso Wondered the pale mountain tops, his low head hanging low "whew, I think I lost them...." he thought to himself, looking behind him then turning back round again, suddenly from the way he was heading, he gasped and turned around, but more came round that corner, now he had no where else to go except being killed, a large, brown stallion steped forward, snorting and pawing the ground, Calypso looked how far from the ground he was, but he couldn't see the once fresh green grass he once saw.

Calypso sighed and started to edge around the space that they were decreasing each second, his dark grey tail was softly bannering against his flank, then the stallion reared up, about to bring his hoofs down ontop of him, Calypso looked up, his mouth slowly dropping open, jus as the stallion's hooves grazed te arch of his back, Calypso leaped of the top, his blue greys eyes shutting.

Caylpso fell at a staggering speed, he slowly open his eyes, looking down, seeing how fast the ground was approaching, he whinnied and scrabled in theair, but it was no use, he stoped his struggles and lay motionless in the air, a large patch of soft grass lay directly under him, he hit the ground, landing on the grass.

Caylpso groaned and slowly opened his eyes, his sides slowly lifting, the grass beneath him had saved him, he looked up at the top of the mountain, the faint spots that were the horses after him slowly move round the back of the mountain and gallop back to their herd lands, he sighed and moaned and gently placed his sore head on the grass, his red sides hardly moving, a shiver ran down his back as he scented a near by female, he slowly lifted his sore, aching head, spotting the female slowly walking to the mountain, he sighed and slowly knelled up, seeing a couple of ponds, he spotted the cleanest one and started to drag himself to it, heaving and groaning as he did so.

Znip dug her hooves into the soil, looking up at the mountain, suddenly seeing a stallion and
a whole herd behind him. She watched, content, and suddenly her eyes grew wide as the
stallion soon fell to the ground. She snorted and galloped up to the stallion, standing next to him
with almost a gapping mouth. "Are you okay?" she breathed.

I stretched out my front legs as I slowly but unsteadily got to my feet "I think so...but my ...ow....back...." he said, pointing to the few grazes and cuts marked on his back, some of them trailing down his sides, he looked at the water, and slowly stumbled over to the water, he got in, the water stinging his cuts, but yet it felt so good, he slowly flicked his pounding head, making little water droplets fling from his mane. He got back out, his once muddy, dusty grey hooves were now polished black and his once dirty and matted coat now a vibrant, smooth steel grey hide, he still had the odd blood droplet dripping down his leg and back, but he was OK, he limped back pver to the mare.

She watched the stallion get up, noticing his cuts quite
easily. She stood there watching as he got into the water.
When he came out, she felt as if she was drooling over
his muscular body. She shook her head out of her thoughts.
"So... what was that all about?" she asked looking up at
the mountain top.

It took Caylpso a while to think "I am-I was a theif, from my herd, they banished me, a long time ago, but they left me with no food or water, and well, where I come from we eat berries, and there isn't many berries, so, I went on banished lands and they spotted me, they chased me to the top of the mountain where they planed to kill me....So....I jumped straight of the top." he sighed, looking at the bloody, ruined patch of grass he was lead in, making him cringe.

She was lost in her thoughts for a couple minutes listening
to him talk. She looked up spotting dark clouds in the
distance. "Lets just go find some shelter for tonight...
Theres gonna be a storm" she spoke with a swish of her tail
walking towards a nearby forest, which hopefully had a good
canopy to block some rain. As she reached the forest she
suddenly remembered her heat scent. She wasnt sure if the
stallion was a forcer or not, but she had a pretty good
feeling he wasnt.

I looked up to the clouds, seeing them turn grey, he cringed and trotted behind the mare, going infront of her "so, do you have a herd?" he asked, swishing his tail as he trotted slightly. (sorry so short, I'm kinda busy)

She pinned her tail to herself and
felt the presence of the stallion behind
her, she turned her head and he was right
up next to her. She wondered about his question,
then spoke "Nope. Recently left the herd that is"
they trotted deeper into the forest, she looked around,
what she wanted was an empty cave. Something that
could be a bit warm, especially during the night.

He stared around himself gormlessly, the rumbling and crackling of the loud thunder startled him and he bolted off deep into the cave "did I mention I'm Astraphobic, I'm scared of lightening, I really don't like it...." he stuttered, all that could be seen of his was the faint glimmer of the silver in his wide, scared eyes, he let a shrill shreak as a huge bolt of lightening struck in the horizon.

She chuckled lightly. "It'll be okay."
she took steps into the cave, started
pouring outside and there was another
crackle of thunder. She walked upto the
stallion and reassured him by resting her
head on his neck gently.

"thanks" he whispered as he flinched when the lightening struck, he shook his head ans lead it on the floor, his long grey mane curling up.

She sighed and blinked watching him
go deeper into the cave. She took a few
steps outside, looking for vines so he wouldnt
have to see the flashes of light, and atleast
block SOME sound. She trotted around,
finding heavy stings of moss and long
think vines. She narrowed her eyes and gripped
her teeth around them, pulling them back,
ripping them off the tree. She galloped back
to the cave and tried hanging them over the
top so they hang down over the entrance.
It worked out pretty good. She trotted back inside, seeing there
was a small tunnel, and a puddle of drinkable water.
They must have gotten lucky.

Caylpso sighed and rolled onto the back, watching water drip from the cave roof above, a droplet landed on his nose, he could smell the earthy, musky smell the water held, he actually liked it, he pushed a dead leaf to the water droplet source and watched it rattle the leaf as it fell.

Took a few sips of the water, it was cold and refreshing,
and good for drinking. She turned her head and saw
the stallion on his back. She was about to panic but
realised he was just laying down. She breathed in relief
and decided to check out the tunnel. She took a couple steps inside
it with a swish of her tail, it led down and got a bit wider,
not much of a tunnel anymore. It was pitch black for several
seconds of walking through it, and she came to a halt entering
a large room with silk hanging from the roof of the cave...
She was surprised. She didnt think she'd find these here...
They were worms! They were the glowing ones... She never
found a name for them, but they were rather beautiful. She
glanced around the room, seeing that it continued to go somewhere,
and it had some light. She peered through it seeing it led back outside.
She closed her eyes, feeling like she was at home. This place was
beautiful...

Caylpso watched the water drip on the leaf until he realized the once welcoming presence of Znip was no longer there, he looked up and past his belly and saw no one there, he got up and walked futher down into the cave, until a bright blue glowing thing landed on his nose, he looked in horror at the wriggling worm on his nose, he let out a scream of panic until he looked up....they were everywhere! he sctreamed again until he thought they looked quite pretty "wow!" he gasped, staring at the one on the end of his nose "wow, I thought you were scary, but you really are quite cute!" he said, laughing at the worm.

She turned around hearing a scream, her hooves
scraping the stone ground and she stopped as
she realised it was the stallion. She sighed in relief
and chuckled.. 'Hes so... girly..' she thought in her
head with a chuckle. She slowly walked up to him
and tugged his mane slightly, letting go several worms.
He must have startled them, as many fell.

Caylpso laughed and pointed to a pool of glowing substance "see that stuff! that's their poop!" he said, jumping in and splattering it everywhere "urrrrr! It's so slushy and mushy....and fun!" he said, smelling it, he turned his nose at it and leaped around in it, almost swimming in the gooey substance.

"eew..." she groaned and cowered in a corner
trying to cover herself as the substance was
splash all over her. She spat out some, it tasted
terrible, but left her tongue glowing. She stuck her
tongue out, amazed, tried looking at it. She punched
her eyes closed as more of the substance splash
upon her. She shook herself, getting rid of some
of it. She wasnt the mare who liked getting weird
substances on her...

Caylpso Laughed and stopped splashing her as he noticed something glowing brighter under the water, he stared at it and took a deep breath, and swam under, there was a small clock spinning round slowly, its face glowing, a small tune started to play, then all silent, the clock started to click then a poem started to play, sending him almost into a type of trance, staring at the dot in the middle of your face~

Round like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending on beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning
Running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half-forgotten dream
Or the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that I said?
Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Was the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
Or the fragment of a song
Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the color of her hair?
Like a circle in a spiral

The tune stayed in his head, he noticed that he wasn't breathing and he rose to the surface in a splash of glowing poop, his mane flicking backwards as he rose up, he got out of the pool "I don't know what that was or why, but it was weird and scary at the same time!" he said, breathing heavily and staring hard at the centre.

Shook the rest of the substance off of her
and watched the stallion, as he suddenly
went under neath all of the... worm poop.
She suddenly saw a small flicker of light from the
center of it all, worried, she trotted up to the edge,
hearing a small, slight tune, almost freightning.
She backed away as she jumped away as she
saw his head shoot up, and he was out.
"What happened!!?!" she yelled.

Caylpso cried in fright as the tune replayed in his thoughts "It's still in my head!" he whimpered, he ran further down the cave, until he came outside, a beautiful sunset, he almost hyper ventalated and ran around, all he cold hear was the sharp quite tune and the words spinning round in his head 'in the windmills of your mind...' went the words, he yelped and fell to the floor, whimpering in fear as the words would not fade away.

She sighed, confused and frusterated. It showed
how much younger the stallion was than her. She
went to the end of the cave and walked out, the
sunset very beautiful. She turned her head, seeing
the stallion lay on the ground silently. She sighed
and slowly walked up to him, and she lie down next to
him nibbling his whithers trying to calm him.

The tune started to fade and he stopped shaking, he looked at the sunset "pretty aint it?" he mumbled, looking at the beautiful sihlohetes.
