Head low, figure slouching I dragged my hooves into a large meadow. A noticed a mare prancing around and closed my crimsion colored eyes for a moment.... I was having a flashback; one of many that i've had lately. It showed a lovely bay mare galloping around.. her thick luscious tail flowing out from behind her. My Crystal.It had been the first time that I had seen her and at that moment I knew that we were meant to be together until.. Well we aren't going to discuss that now. A single dribbled down my my cheekbone and plopped to the earth leaving a trail on my satiny white fur. My eyes fluttered back open; coming back into reality. I turned away from the mare and began to walk in the other direction.

I see a handsome ivory colored stallion and stop dead in my tracks. He was so handsome!! i thought to myself. But why was he walking away? was i ugly? everyone always told me i was pretty....my beautiful paint horse markings.. "Why are you leaving??" i nicker out to him

I stop dead in mid- step.. not even bothering to glance back. I already knew it was her."I-Uh... I- I.. I just." My voice broke and several more tears found their way down my cheekbones. "I didn't find what I was looking for.. I'm so lost."I mumbled softly enough for her to just barely hear me.

I slowly walk up to him, not getting too close, giving him his space. "i dont understand....whats wrong?" i ask

"It's none of your fucking buisness!"I snapped ,my eyes turning dark and glowing angrily. I was just so sick of others wanting to comfort me and try to make me feel better; but I didn't want any freakin help. NOTHING would bring Crystal or Kaitlyn back and I just need time;alone.

I jumped back, my eyes opened wide, ears forward. why was he so grumpy?? i asked myself. I decided to give him some space, and backed off a few more steps. "im not trying to comfort you....i just wanna know whats wrong.... maybe we can talk about it, i will help u through it if you want me too..." i say cautiously, bracing myself for another yell, knowing he might get mad.

My blood boiled at her words."How dare you say that to me you little tramp."I screamed, enraged and very upset. I wanted to hurt her in some way, made her feel as bad as I did, but i didn't know how.

I backed up fast, getting farther away. "If u are in pain, i know how u feel..." tears streamed down my face. "i lost my mate and foal a few months ago, it was a horrible rainstorm and we were caught in a narrow canyon, no way out... a flash flood came, sweeping us away. I woke up in a whole different place, no sight of my mate or foal...." i trailed off, still hearing those high pitched screams of my foal....

"Well they could have ended up like you.. drifted some other place off. But me there was no possibility of survival, I heard their screams of agony as they had their flesh burnt off. Days later I could still smell the burning flsuh scent in the air.. I knew that they died. Yours could still be alive."I snorted.
