The sandy bank(Star---???)

Bright eyes raked the woods around her, muzzle pointed into the air, nostrills flaring as she tested the air. Nothing new, nothing that seemed to be out of place. Her soft fur was coated with grime, mud caked in her paws. With a shake of her coat, she trotted to the river, splashing inward, the crystal water splashing up onto her dirty fur. She whined softly, the cold water making her shiver a bit, but it felt good. She knelt in the river, the water running over her back and washing away some of the grime that was stuck in her coat. She rolled around slightly, then figured it was good enough, wading out of the river and to the other side. She shook herself off, wet droplets flying everywhere. Flopping down onto the grass, she sighed heavilly, a slight whine coming out as she rested her head on her paws.

The males dark green orbs hid with the fronds, watching the female slightly. Mud coated his usually white fur, that hid his scent. Ducking around and rolling through and in the water, shaking of slightly, revealed the dirty white fur of his. It was beautiful though even though most parts were covered, his coat, still silky. He saw the female half way cross the river and walked in, starting to swim. He swam out and stopped behind her, his coat now clean, but drenched and silked. He watched the female, his scent now wafting all directions. He let out a small bark, letting her know he was here.

[Spritz]

Lyla froze in mid step, her paw poised delecatly in the air. She wasn't afraid, no she wasn't. But she was cautious, and she turned to face the newcomer with a puzzled, yet curious expression on her face. Seeing a white fluff out of the corner of her eye, her deep chocolate orbs found the male wolf. "Hello?" She asked tentativley, a faint smile on her face.

The male, called Soilder, trotted up more, bowing his head and whimpering telling her no guesture he was going to make to hurt her, or do her any harm. He lifted his head and sat down, curling his tail neatly around his paws before answering her in a polite, respectful but gruff voice. "Hello, may I ask you who you are?" His paws were still prodded with dirt for he was he the rough parts of area. He gave her a friendly grin though, it was faint.

[Yeah it's in houses -- I probably did a good job.]

(Good job posting on here, btw. I can tell you are putting thought into what you writeXD! Oh, and this is not a regular fea in heat story, she isn't in heat quite yet.)
Lyla smiled slightly, and relaxed a bit, though she wasn't tense in the first place. "Hello," She exclaimed warmly, also sitting down, her tail spiky and wet, amber fur just barly starting to dry off a bit. "Glad to meet you." She said, lowereing her head, her eyes looking into his, hers filled with curious trust."I'm Lyla," She said, raising a paw and gnawing at the matt that was annoyingly stuck between her paw pads.

Soilder nodded and watched her slight actions. He waited, until her curious gaze met hers and then answered. "My name is Soilder. Glad to meet you, Lyla." he said and his smile fainted. He scent the air and then stopped, stepping up. "I can see you must roam these lands often" he asked. Solider was trying to gain this female's trust, though he followed her around because she reminded him so much of his sister. The looks were so identical that he almost winced. He cleared his throat before speaking once again. "I'm just wandering these parts for now."

[Spritz]

Lyla gave a kind smile, setting her paw back onto the ground, her tail wagging slightly. "Yes, I do. I spend most of my time here." She said, nodding her head. Her ears pricked forward, and her eyes darted up once more to meet his gaze. Fur finally starting to dry, she shook herself off once more, the droplets of water accidentally splashing Soldier. Slightly embarrased, she stepped back a bit and gave a tentative smile.

Soilder nodded. "I see." he said before starting to get up to move to her and sniff her. A bit, get used to her scent. Once he was close enough, he smelt the scent that smelt kinda like her sister and tried not to let out a big agonized howl. He sighed and looked at the ground before feeling water splash all over him. He lifted his head, to see her and gave a small chuckle, shaking his fur letting it travel on Lyla. It was like him and sister that never seemed to leave his mind.

[Spritz]

Lyla looked up from her musing, startled as water pelted on her. With a quick playful yip of exitment, she leaped up to him, her body weight working with her, and she pushed him into the river, a look of pure happiness on her face. She leaped in after him, jumping over him and landing with a splash, a few feet away from him.

Solider saw her eyes fill with sudden amusment his did, too as well. He gasped as he gave a hard splash into the water. Bobbing up, he swam strongly towards her. He got up when the water became shallow, and started to chase after her, strong legs sending waves of foaming water behind him. Catching up, he jumped on her lightly cuffing her around the ear, hoping not to put her face into the water and 'cause a crime like he did before... but he always tried to remind himself it was just a mistake. He shuddered and got off her, making a run for the trees, disappearing into the bushes.

[Spritz]

Lyla yelped slightly, playfully turning to bat him, when suddenly, he had taken off, the only trace of him was a dissapearing white flash in the forest. Her ears drooped, eyes falling. Great, just great! She always ruined everything! She mentally clawed herself, heaving a large sigh. Splashing out of the water once again, her coat lay flat on her skin, as she didn't even shake herself off. Instead, she flopped limply onto the sand of the bank, eyes watching the forest edge, hoping to see the flash of white once again.

Soilder ran, feeling the wind go through his nice silk fur. He suddenly stopped, no intentions or scent on her. He pricked his ears and tensed playfully spinning and giving a deep playful yip. "Come and play Lyla!" he taunted. He stopped talking. Everything now felt so lonely. So... cold. He tasted the air, smelling no trace of the female. His expression turned from amused to confused (lol). He slowly tredded towards the river, hearing it once more and caught trace of the female's scent... stronger stronger. He stopped, head tilting as he caught her flopped on her side. He whinned and nudged her gently with her muzzle. "What's wrong?" he asked calmly.

[Spritz]

Lyla leaped up as he came nearer. "Oh, I thought you left!" She exclaimed, licking his cheek playfully, then pulling back in embarrasment. Now she felt like she should run into the bushes. A small, happy whine escaped, and her tail wagged in the dirt as she sat on her haunches.

Soilder shook his head. "Ditch you? No!" he laughed and looked at her face. His expression, that was once a small grin, turned into a grieving frown. He turned to look down at the ground below him before murmuring. "You are so much like my-- my--" he stopped, choking in his own words at the moment. He wasn't going to leave her, not yet, because he felt like she needed him. But the resemblence to her to his sister was always pushing him away.

[Spritz]

"What?" Lyla asked, tail wag slowing, ears drooping. Her eyes fell, and she stared at his paws, as if they were suddenly extremley interesting. "You can go if you want." She mumbled, her words soft.

Intantly he shook his head. "No! No!" he spoke instantly. He almost yelled the words. He felt like an idiot! So, so dumb just blowing everything like a hot air ballon in his life. "I just...you just remind me of my sister." he said quickly. He nodded, then quickly changed the subject. "Are you.... are you hungry?" he asked.

[Spritz]

Her eyes looked warilly up into his, then fell back down to her paws again. "No..." She said softly, "I understand." She placed her paw onto his, then stood, her tail lowered. "It's fine-" Turning, she sped away, speeding silently through the woods, only a flash of amber fur. She didn't know why she was running. She didn't know where. But she couldn't have herself hurt him any longer. He deserved better than that, better than she.

Soilder felt his heart pound when her paw touched his. He lifted his eyes to look into hers but she was already turning away, surging through the forest like a flash of lightening and by the blink of an eye, she was gone. He took a deep breath and ran after, despertly calling her name. "Lyla!" he said. Looking around, he called her name again, stopping at a cliff not even realizing it was starting to rain. "Lyla! Please!"

[Spritz]

Lyla urged through the forest, paws landing silently on the dry leaves, on the dead twigs. Suddenly, large drops of water started to fall, landing on her coat. She stopped, hearing him not too far behind her. But now she was too embarrased, to humble to face him again. Turning, she leaped into the cover of a cave not far away. crawling in the small crack, the entrance only big enough to let her squeeze in, but the inside was a huge maze of caverns, running through the mountain. She feared the caverns and tunnels, knowing that once you were lost, you were lost forever. But it was a shelter, and she scurried into one of the side rooms, alone. Laying down, she rested her head down on her paws, ears drooped, a single tear slipping out of her eye, running down the side of her face, dripping onto the rock floor.

Soilder lifted his head to get a trace of her scent, but the rain was getting harder and washed it away. As he tredded on, Soilder had began to grow tired, his ears pulled back over the rain. He then finally figured he was too tired to go back to the cave. Sliding under a cave, he smelled the air for any dangers then caught that sweet, faimilar tang in his senses. Ears pricking he silently followed the scent and there, saw the amber shape crying. Lying down, Solider curled up to her and craddled her, licking her ear in soft rythmtic strokes.

[Spritz]

Lyla felt something large, warm, and comforing curl around her, and she knew who it was. She buried her head in his long chest fur, pressing her body against his, which seemed comforting at the time. Outside, the rain was pelting down, so thick that you couldnt see through it. A slight whimper escaped from her, her tears wetting his fur.

Soilder craddled her as his rythmtic touge rasped her ears. He hoped that he could put her into a sleep but she was crying, he let her. It always happened. It did. Those emotions sometimes needed to be let out. He hoped she'd be better in the morning and feeling bad for her made him push her closer to his soft fur and craddled her even slower and more comforting, hoping that would help her, for she must've been senstive. But it was alright.

[Spritz]

Lyla was soon tired, comforted by him being there. Snuggling closer into him, her head rested on his leg, her eyes closing, her breathing slowing and becoming deep and regular, her rib cage expanding as she took in a deep breath, sleeping within the comfort of him.

Soilder soon her soft breathings and realized she finally fell asleep. Setting his head down, looking out the cave tunnel, ears pricked he realized the rain had calmed down as well. Snuggling into her as well, he closed his eyes and soon fell into sleep, his tone with hers. He had a dream of her. Him and her playing together and realized everything went slow motion when he looked at her... her face. Her slender body. He shuddered in his mind.

[Spritz]

Lyla was awake before it was morning, but she was much too comfortable, and much to comforted, to get up. Snuggling closer into Soldiers fur, she realized that her running away, had been thier point of breaking. She felt so safe with him, as if he could fix all of the problems, as if he could chase everything bad away. Sighing, she licked his ear once, her bright eyes shining in the darkness of the cave. She closed her eyes again, resting her head on her paws.
