"I'm just calling it as I see it," he said and almost instantaniously threw a glare at the elven man. "Why must you threaten to murder only acquaintances?" He mumbled beneath his mouth and glances back over at Alys, rolling his eyes in irritance. He let her be - that is untill they would return to the castle. "Is this where you live? In the woods?" He directed this question to Tari. He found the dragon a bit intimidating, but of course, there was no way he could let that show around this woman.

Alys

Alys closed her eyes, inhaling and exhaling heavily in an attempt to calm herself down. However, it was quite hard with a couple of dragons and elven creatures around. When she heard the elven woman speaking about threatening a stranger, she chuckled very quietly and nodded. "Amen," she muttered beneath her breath and quickly returned to being miserable as a slave. Over the years, she's gotten used to being a servant beacause she's been one since the young age of 11. She was used for all sorts of things - sex, house work, crops, ect. ect.

Anger scrapes through my body and I grit my teeth. "Whatever, you ignorant beings do not understand my purposes. I was trying to help, but I now realize you deserve to rot in this ancient and merciless forest" My voice snarls through my teeth. Dark skin and eyes matching my true blood. Dark elf, not elf. I once again turn to leave. Pausing mid-stride, I turn around and grab the poor woman's arm, pushing her forward and towards the trees to save her from the king's wrath.

I sigh and reluctantly stand to go. The male dragon still aggitated by my boy's actions. "He is being protective and you should thank him" The words hissed through my canines. With a flick of my long, elegant tail, I continue following Gheridal and the woman. Touching her hand softly with my muzzle. "You are free now... that is, unless you wish not be" My voice was barely above a whisper.

Tari felt anger boil inside of her at the elf's words, but she forced herself to remain silent. Suddenly, she murmured, "Then goodbye." Something told her they'd meet again, but she didn't raise the question. Tari unclenched her fists and slumped against the tree, only to have the king--Walter, was it?--ask her another question. She sighed and nodded solomnly, "Yes, I live here. In the trees, mainly. A house carved into a tree, I mean. It's quite splendid, actually." Tari allowed a smile to touch the corners of her lips. "Where do you live?" She asked, turning her head to face the king. Tari was starting to realize he was becoming quite tolerable.

Z'han got up and growled at the female, "Thank him? You think I will lower myself to thank him?" He said it so that only she could hear him, "I can protect my master just as good--and maybe even better--than he can." Z'han bared his fangs and settled down beside Tari again, listening to her conversation with the King, that sounded like it was turning out rather pleasant. Z'han was against slavery, though, and as he watched the male elf and female dragon leave with the slave girl, he didn't say a word, though his eyes threatened to betray them. Instead, Z'han turned his head towards king Walter, and looked at him for a moment, sensing his intimidation. He chuckled a bit, getting a quizical look from Tari, then rolled his eyes and laid his head down, allowing himself to fall asleep once more.

Alys

Alys nodded at the fear of angering the elven man and dragon, which was evidently the last thing she needed at the moment. She was a bit hesitant of going, however, she knew that she couldn't let that feeling show through. What would happen if Walter was to find Alys? He'd beat her mercilessy and make her work twice as hard. Her lips pinched closed as she journeyed on with the elven male and scaled creature. She had doubts about these two beings - would they also take her as a slave? Her spine tingled as she quivered at the thought of it. She gently tucked her loose strands of hair behind her ear and let out a quiet sigh.

Walter raised a brow, a bit surprised that she would live in the woods. "I would've suspected a woman as enchanting as you would live in royalty," he said and tilted his head to the side, glancing up at the dragon of whom he was getting a bit used to. Walter could tell he was aggitated, which meant according to Walter, he needed to be cautious. "Besides, living a life of leisure is quite pleasureable, you might enjoy it."

Tari cocked an eyebrow at his thoughts. "Honestly, royalty? It's not what one would usually ask for. In all earnest, I do not want to be part of royalty. You'd have to force me or offer me something worth my while. All the royalties ever do is answer questions for others, fix problems, and go to war. That's not what I want to do. I prefer my solitude." Tari sighed a bit and then added, "My father used to get on my case about the fact that I'd never accept a husband. Men are only trouble." Tari grimaced then added quickly, "Not you, of course. I don't know you well enough to judge, yet." Tari laughed. "Leisure? You must not know anything about the elven society. All the royalties ever do is work, work, work; make things better." Tari leaned back and closed her eyes, listening to Z'han's gentle snores.

Z'han was fast asleep.... although he was subconsciencely aware that King Walter and Tari were still there, talking to each other. He was cautious about the man, although he'd never let it show. Z'han yawned and rolled over onto his side, legs sprawled out away from the two of them, wings wrapped tightly around his body. He growled in his sleep, and sleep slowly began to take its firm grip on him, and he slowly became less and less aware of what was going on around him. Z'han figured Tari could hold her ground against the human, and her cries would wake him if she needed his assistance. Reassured, Z'han allowed himself to fall into a deep sleep, retreating into the center of his mind, aware of nothing but his pleasant dreams.
