Jordan frowned at her comment. "Allie, you know I don't ever want to leave you. I know someday it's going to have to happen, though. What about Diablo and your poor mother, who's probably worrieed sick about you?" Jordan held her tighter, "I don't want you to leave me, Allie. I don't want to leave you. It'd break my heart." Jordan lowered his voice and whispered softly, "I love you too much to let you go."

"It doesent have to happen?" I turn to him eyes desperate. "So what if my mothers worried? I can tell her im fine, but if I ever have to leave, does that mean that were over? Forever?" I try to make sense out of his words.

Jordan turned to her and looked into her eyes, sensing the emoitons eminating within her. He sighed and, after a few minutes, replied, "As long as I'm concerned, we're never over." Jordan leaned in closer and kissed her forehead before pulling back and offering her a weak smile. To be truthful, he didn't know what would happen. It wasn't unlikely that that Kyle bastard would come back around and try and hurt her after he realizes that Diablo and her escape. Jordan's soft grip on her hardened -- but only slightly. Jordan would kill that man if he ever dared to lay so much as a finger on Allie again. But still.... Jordan had no idea what they'd do if they were to be separated. But as far as he could help it, they would be together. Always. And he'd do whatever he could to ensure that it stayed that way.

"Good." I say simply, and my lips find his, lasting in a longer kiss, untill I needed to pull away to take a breath. I feel tired, glad I had shared what had been keeping my awake. I wrap my arms around him, snuggling up to his chest, eyes closed.

Jordan smiled and returned the kiss as best as he knew how, and was finally satisfied knowing that Allie could sleep. Jordan watched her close her eyes and sighed happily, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer to him, pulling the covers over their shoulders, and snuggling up to her and her loose-fitting dress. Jordan smiled as he drifted into a faint sleep.

Happy again, I drift off. I wake up early the next morning, just as the sun began to rise, slanting golden sunlight across the room. I slip out of bed, and again, tuck the covers around Jordan, then changed into jeans and a t shirt, walking to the boys room and quickly feeding them and changing thier dipers. I take the smelly bag outside with me, and slip on my boots, dumping the bag in the trash before running to Diablo.

Jordan moaned slightly and moved in his sleep, but didn't wake, figuring in his sleep-clogged mind that Allie was going to feed the boys, and would be back soon. With that in mind, Jordan rolled over and fell asleep again.

I whinnied loudly and pinned my ears when I saw Allie running towards me. It'd been almost a full day since she'd last visited me, and frankly, I didn't approve of it! She was spending too much time with that boy, and who knew what kinds of trouble they were getting in together? I didn't want Allie to end up pregnant again, especially not with twins. I would trample that rotten, good-for-nothing boy underneath my own hooves next time I saw him, if I had to, just to keep my Allie safe. I snorted angrily and turned my rump towards her, showing her I was obviously annoyed.

I stop, seeing that Diablo was mad at me. "Well then mister, I guess we wont be practicing barrels now, will we?" I turn my back from him and cross my arms, walking back toward the gate, a small smile on my face. "No beating Kyle, No competing, No racing through the meadow, No riding-"

I snorted as I listened to her, and flicked my tail and turned my head when she mentioned barrel racing. I whinnied lightly and stomped my hoof agitatedly when she mentioned beating Kyle. Women, I thought to myself and trotted over to her, chewing on her shirt, prancing on my hooves, ready to be active again. How could I stay mad at her? I rolled my eyes slightly, thinking of how pathetic I must seem if it only took one little mention of you-know-who to allow her onto my good side again. I nickered to the dun mare again, who lifted her head once, neighed a reply, then went back to grazing. I stared at the dun mare for a moment then turned back to Allie and continued to nibble on her shirt contentedly.

"Hmm." I cross my arms over my chest, raising an eyebrow at him. "No barrel racing?" I snap a set of reins onto his halter, I didnt like using bits. "This times bareback boy."

I whinnied loudly when she mentioned barrel racing again; loud enough to attract the attention of the other four horses in the pasture, including the dun mare, who trotted over to me and tilted her head at Allie, then began to graze around my hind legs. I snorted softly and nibbled on the mare's mane before feeling Allie attach reins to my halter, and I stomped my hoof impatiently. When she mentioned we'd be doing in bareback, I tilted my head slightly, although most of it was out of amusement, not knowing how exactly this was going to turn out.

Grumbling that my saddle was gone, I lead Diablo out of the pasture, and hopped lightly onto his back, taking the reins and guiding him into the arena, barrels already set up.

I snorted when I felt her weight on my back, although I'd braced myself for something heavier. After birthing, it surprised me how much weight she'd lost. I guessed that was a good thing, though, seeing as it would make both of our jobs easier. I pranced eagerly to the arena, but nearly froze up when I saw the barrels again. It'd been so long.... I remembered how, but I also remembered what Kyle would do to me afterwards, if I'd simply even nudged one. My muscles tensed momentarily before I was able to move again, and I stepped warily into the starting position. This time, I wouldn't stop. This time, I wouldn't be afraid.

"Whoa there, you cant race without tack!" I turn and see a short woman with curly red hair holding a saddle, smiling. "I have an old saddle here, you can use it if you want, and a bridle. Theres no way I'm gonna see you get hurt!" She places the saddle on the fence, then walks away, curls bouncing. I look at Diablo. "Alright boy, then I guess we have a saddle!"

I snorted loudly when I saw the red-haired woman, and her hair looked almost edible. I pulled on her hair gently before she managed to get away, and got a mouthful of the curls. I splurted it out and neighed loudly, disappointed at how badly her hair tasted. I snorted and nodded when I saw the saddle, and kicked my leg in annoyance at the flies.

"Silly one." I hoist the saddle onto his back, the pad already on. The saddle fit good, almost like it was made for him. I sinch up the girth slightly, letting him get used to the weight and feel of the saddle before I cranked up on the girth, which would secure the saddle tightly onto his back.

I neighed loudly and stomped my hoof, unused to having the unfamiliar weight on my back. It'd been so long.... I whinnied and pushed my way out of the gate and began walking circles around Allie, excited to finally get out there. I nickered playfully, bucking a bit.

"Okay, okay." I mount easily and turn him toward the barrel pattern, mind working to figure out the time and speed needed between each, then sighed heavily. "Were winging it." With that, I urged him forward, positioning his head for the first barrel.

Only now did I realize how much weight she'd really lost. I snorted and flickered my ears back, listening to her every word, and felt her urge him forward. I nearly bucked, the sudden memories of pain that this had brought me, but I quickly rounded the first barrel, nearly cracking an ankle, and made sure that I didn't allow her leg to touch, though I rounded closely. Once I finished, I headed towards the barrel that was usually labelled as the second one.

His sudden outburst of speed almost made me scared, but instead, I lifted myself slightly out of the saddle, letting him move freely under me. I steer him around the barrel, starting the turn wide, and bending him around the barrel. Then, with a burst of speed, we headed towards the last barrel.

I snorted, extending my strides as we headed towards the last barrel, a little trick Kyle had taught me when I was younger. We reached the last barrel faster, and I shortened my strides, nearly gliding on the soft dirt around the barrel before lengthening my strides again, galloping towards the finish line, sweat only now starting to bead along my outstretched neck and shoulders.

We practically flew past the timeline, and I gasped, patting his neck happily. "Good boy, Good boy!" I start as a young man starts to clap, stop watch poised in his hand. "15.3 seconds, not bad for a first run!" I blush, happy with Diablo. "He did it, not me."

Jordan sighed as he rolled over, eyes flickering open to try and find Allie. When she wasn't there, he figured she was out with Diablo, and groaned, his lips slightly kiss-swollen as he went to go check on the boys, whom he could hear crying from down the hall.

I snorted as I slowed to a halt, obviously noticing the man before Allie did, because she started when she heard his clapping. All i did was lift my ears in his direction. I whinnied to him and wondered quietly who he was, and when he'd got there. He was obviously there before we started, because he'd given a time, something I'd come to recoginze during my life. I flicked my ears back and wondered what Allie wanted me to do.

I slowly dismounted, sliding to the ground, my boots hitting the packed dirt. "Well I should go, nice meeting you." I say, leading Diablo out of the arena, a bit uncomfortable around men I didnt know. He doesent say anything, and I can feel his eyes on my back as I leave. "Im Cody-" I hear him say, and he runs to catch up with me. "Nice to meet you. I'm Allie." I say politly, and keep walking. He follows.
