Jordan became rather furious at her comment and then stood up. "I've hurt somebody before," he snapped. "And I swore to myself I wouldn't give myself the oppurtunity to hurt somebody again!" His voice rose uncomfortably. "And you are just the opportunity that I'm trying to avoid!" jordan turned towards the water and rubbed his head in his hands.

"Well guess what you just did!?" I say, and jog away, the slow jog as fast as I could manage. I go to Diablo, and slip in the fence, greeting him with a hug. "You were right. He is just an idoit." I say stroking his velevety nose.

Jordan made a move to go after her, but he knew it wasn't right. They had only just met, and were already intimately linked? That wasn't right, in his mind. Sighing, Jordan sat back down against the tree, facing the water, and thought about his old girlfriend. He was losing somebody else, yet again.

I whinnied happily when I saw Allie, trotted playfully over to her, but quickly found that she wasn't in a very good mood. I nickered lowly, listening her talk about the boy. Honestly, I hadn't found him that bad, but he was stealing my attention. I snorted and wondered how he'd already hurt her. I turned my head and watched the sun sink lower. I wanted to stay here, at least the night, in the warm barn with enough food and water. I hoped she wouldn't make us leave, although I'd understand her reasoning if she did.

After I had told Diablo everything, I turn and try to see Jordan, my wet cheeks glistning in the setting sun. As I see him, I turn my back and leave Diablo, telling him I would be back, tomarrow. I enter the house, imedietly walking to the spare bedroom, then sit on the bed, my arms wrapped around myself.

I whinnied softly as she turned and left me, shortly after the owners of the barn coming and taking me into the stables, where I would be warm, at least for tonight.

Jordan sighed when the sun set finally and walked into the house. He walked up the stairs and paused by Allie's door, wondering if he should go in or not. He bit his lip and finally rapped one of his knuckles against the door's wooden frame, hoping she'd let him in, although he knew she had every right to reject him. Jordan felt bad for hurting her, and he hadn't meant to, but it wasn't right; the two of them, he meant. Although he wished hopelessly they could be together.

I hear a knock, but I dont get up. "What." I say, the hurt in my voice masked by anger. I stare at the floor, my arms crossed over my belly, my lips still tingling from the kiss we had shared. I quickly raise my hand and wipe the feeling away.

Jordan sighed at her annoyed tone and gently opened the door and sat on the very edge of the bed, trying to give her her space. "Allie... I know you're probably pissed -- more than pissed, maybe -- at me... But I just couldn't leave things the way they were. I'm sorry..." his voice went into a whisper at his apology. Jordan dropped his gaze, but quickly raised it again, hoping that she would forgive him.

I glare at him. "And why couldnt you? Is it because I'm pregnant? I need as much support and care now as I ever will! So you lead me on, then push me away and say you dont want to hurt me?"My voice grows softer " That hurt me. It really did." I say and look at the floor.

Jordan was a bit taken back by her comment. "It's not because of that..." His eyes grew harder and then softened at her words. "No... It's because you have a family that's not here. And someday you're gonna go back to them. I don't want to fall in love with you then lose you." Jordan suddenly felt utterly weak, and he got off the bed and walked to the door, uttering an almost silent 'goodbye,' then walked to his bedroom.

My eyes fill with tears. I didnt want to go back to my family. I didnt want to go through my parents divorce, I didnt want to leave. "I dont want to leave." I say softly, not sure if he could hear me. A tear drips off my nose and onto the covers.

Jordan turned around to see her crying, and he stiffened slightly. It took a him a moment before he fully turned around and went over to her. He sad beside her on the bed and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her into a sort of hug and rocked her back and forth gently. "I don't want you to go back, either." He muttered.

I twitched as he wrapped me in a kind of hug. "There's nothing there for me. A divorce, the man who raped me, an annoying mother, a critical school," I say, naming the things off. "What if I dont want to go back?"

Jordan sighed and placed her finger on her lips gently. "It's all right. I'm not going to force you to go back. It's my mom we have to pursuade." Jordan looked her in yhe eyes, and wanted to kiss her again, but he thought that it wouldn't be right after the obvious pain he'd caused her.

I look up quickly as Lisa enters the room, a slight frown on her face. I quickly unwrap myself from Jordan, and smile at her. "Hello Lisa-" I say, and try to think of a way to pursade her to let me stay, at least for a little while.

Jordan frowned slightly and took his arms away from Allie and looked at his mom. "Um... Hey mom..." Jordan stood up and got off the bed. He quietly explained to his mother what Allie was feeling, and hoped she'd understand.

Lisa frowned as she listened to Jordans story, looking at me the whole time. "Well, I'm sure your mother wants you home..." I quickly tell her what I told Jordan. "Well then, I suppose you can stay for a while.." She says, smiling at me. I jump off of the bed, and wrap her in a huge hug, our pregnant bellies touching.

Jordan smiled and watched his mother and Allie hug each other, then sighed slightly. "I should be going to my room, I suppose..." Jordan said rather relucantly and hugged Allie goodnight, kissing her cheek gently before leaving the room without looking back, my face burning with embarrassment.

I blush as he kisses my cheek, and then he leaves. Lisa smiles, her eyebrows raised. "No, its not-" I say, but she leaves the room, smiling to herself. I suddenly feel very tired, and crawl under the covers, falling asleep with a smile on my face.

Jordan curled under the covers and dreamt of Allie...

~Next Morning~

Jordan woke up and stretched, looking into Allie's room and seeing she was asleep. He smiled and walked in, pulling a strand of hair out of her face and looking at her lovingly before leaving the room and going downstairs to make some breakfast for Allie and his mother. His father would already be at work, unfortunately.

I wake up the next morning, and strech, but dont get out of bed. I hadent slept in a real bed for months, let alone have a good nights sleep. The morning sun shines through the window, and casts rays of golden sunlight into the room. Reluctantly, I crawl out of bed and shut the door, then change into a sundress, pulling my hair into a shiny clip.

Jordan finally finished fixing eggs and some bacon with small biscuits and orange juice. Jordan placed them onto a plate and faintly heard footsteps somewhere in oen of the rooms above him. Jordan hoped he hadn't woken up Allie. He hoped yesterday's experience didn't dent their relationship. Jordan didn't let the thoughts overwhelm him, though, and he sat down to eat his breakfast.

I smell the delicious smell of breakfast, bacon and eggs. With one last look in the mirror, I open the door and walk down the stairs, to see Jordan eating breakfast. I smile at him, my eyes bright. He made me feel so, so happy. Something I hadent felt in a long while. I would go see Diablo afterwards.

Jordan turned around to see Allie. "Good morning!" He said and got out of his seat, picking up a plate from the other side of the counter and placed the plate in the microwave and heated it up before setting it before a place next to his, and getting her a fork, placing it on the napkin. "Here you are!" He smiled.

I smiled and sat down at the kitchen table, thanked him, then started to eat the delicious food. The savory taste of bacon filled my mouth, and after that was gone, I started on the eggs. After I finished eating, I frowned at him. "Where is your mother?" I asked, then faintly remembered hearing a car start and leave for work. "Oh, nevermind."

Jordan swallowed some eggs and almost replied, but it seemed she'd answered her own question, although he knew that wasn't it. "No, no. My mum is probably still asleep. My dad leaves for work early." He sighed slightly and picked at his eggs. "I never get to see him much. Except for church on Sundays, and I rarely ever go anymore because I'm spending time with him."
