"You what?!" I yelled, my temper as hot as Hell itself. I couldn't believe it. What was he thinking??

Earlier that day~
Darick~
I open the door to my work, tucking in my wrinkled shirt. Once again, I was late. Oh well.
The smell of pencils and the sound of running computers flooded me as I entered, but I ignored it. My office was to the left and I almost made it.
"Darick, I need to talk to you in my office" I shrugged it off and walked behind him. He didn't seem happy. I run a hand through my dirty blond hair, starting to get nervous.
"Take a seat" I did as he asked, and sat in one of his expensive, black leather chairs. It was bouncy, which made me chuckle and jump in it a few times.
"You're fired" He said, his voice stern, short, and free of any regret.
"But I- uh" I struggled for words, Jackie would kill me.
"Go home, I will have your stuff packed and you can pick it up tomorrow"
I grumbled and walked out of the office, preparing for Jackie's wrath.

Jackie~
"You got yourself fired?" I clenched my jaw and looked at him with annoyance. "You just don't care do you? Not about yourself, not about your work, not even about me" I sighed and shook my head, then strode over to the kitchen, pulling out a wine glass. "You know what, bye, don't even comment, I am never talking to you again!" I screamed, storming off to my bedroom to get packed. I grabbed a bag and shoved a few things for overnight in it. "I'll be back for my stuff, but you can keep the house" I snorted and brushed pass him "Trust me, you'll need it" I said, stopping by the desk and grabbing my latest writing. I reach for the door handle then pause. I shouldn't have paused. I should've ignored him.
