"Well I just got in trouble with Shadow and now I hate you...that's just a joke...the hate part, the getting in trouble part actually happened." I laughed and said "Last one to the other end of the fountain is a rotten loser! And no changing into anything but your elf form...got it?!" I dove in a popped up and said "On your mark, get set...GO!" I swam as fast as I could and just kept swimming.

[Harley]

She smirked and jumped off the edge, landing ahead of him. She dove under him and pulled him under, then contiuned her swimming. She felt something curl around her ankle and suddenly she was being drug under. She tried changing, but the grip was to tight and would probably amputate her her tail. "Jack"! She mouthed and tugged on the plant that was draggin her under. Only certain plants did this, and they only inhabited one side of the fountain.

[Dark**Light]

I called to Shadow and Shadow quickly and surprisingly dove in,causing a huge splash.(Switching to Shadow's point of view) I grabbed the plant and snapped it. I pulled Star out of the water and then realizing that Jack was soon after pulled under I repeated the same thing. I placed them on the side of the fountain then flew out. (switching back to Jack's point of view)I said "You okay Star?" I looked at my ankle and saw that it had been snapped. I couldn't heal it as well this time because I had lost a lot of energy fighting the plants. Then I realized that I was missing something...my sword. I dove in to scout it out then swam just above it and said "Would you mind getting my sword? It's just below me." I smiled and laughed twice. I felt really guilty telling her this but I had to have it.

[Harley]

"Thanks Shadow." Star gasped. She sighed at his words. "Yes, I will get it, but first we gotta do something about your ankle. But I think you can take care of that yourself." Star dove down, and her tail was the last thing seen before she circled around and went deeper. She saw the glint of the sword and propelled herself forward. Star grabbed it and headed up. Halfway there she refreshed the air in her lungs by turning back into the elf. When she came up, she set the sword down and crossed her arms on the fountain, and rested her chin on them. "Want me to heal it?''

[Dark**Light]

"Nah, I'm good." I cast the healing spell once more and finally it healed. I stood up and said "Well how about the race?" I dove in and started swimming. I heard Shadow say Be careful! I just kept swimming. I slipped under just to see what was below me. I saw something under the water. It sparkled and was an odd blue color. I swam back up and said "Hey Star come check this out! It's under the water at the bottom. it looks like a gem." I swam a little deeper and saw that it wasn't. It was another dragon egg. I swam back up and said "It's a dragon egg!"

[Harley]

"Nah, I'm good." Star smiled and let out a sigh. "Probably a water dragon, don't know any other dragon that lays there eggs under water. Look at the color." She said, looking at her hand. "Congrats, Shadow, you have a sibling, or child." She laughed and stood up. She walked around the edge of the fountain, her head looking towards the fading stars. Once she reached Jack again, Star sighed and sat down. "I better be going, Jack."

[Dark**Light]

I said "Or is it possible that maybe the egg was knocked into the water?" I looked to the side and saw a blue dragon. She was cooing to the water. I dove all the way down and picked up the egg. I swam back up and gave the egg to the dragon and said "You know Saphira. You may have used a spell to outlast my uncle Eragon but at this rate you may never have any descendants." I patted her neck and laughed. Shadow walked over to Saphira and looked at the egg. It had hatched and was walking over to Star. It walked into the fountain accidentally but I quickly swam under the water and pulled it back up. I handed it to Star and said "I think it likes you." I pulled myself out of the water and sat on the edge of the fountain, petting Shadow.

[Harley]

She smiled at the little dragon and laughed. "I have experience with them." Star ran a hand over the dragons back and sighed. "Maybe because....." Her words faded into the distance before she could finish the sentence. "Never mind. You wouldn't believe me." The elf stood, sat the dragon down on the edge and told him/her to stay. ''I'll be right back." Her voice sounded as if she was almost in tears.

She faded into the trees before any words could be said.

[Dark**Light]

"What do you mean I won't believe you? C'mon, tell me. You can trust me." I heard her tell the dragon something then she walked off. What do you think that was about Shadow? You can ask the same thing to Saphira. Shadow looked at me then said Well both me and Saphira have no idea what that was about! Maybe the dragon was a little sentimental in a way to her. I sat and looked at the dragon and said "Look what you did little fellow." I rubbed his head and nudged him a little. I smiled and let out a small and short laugh.

[Harley]

Star heard the words before she started running. It wasn't the dragon, but a calling. She reached a clearing and there stood a golden dragon. "Star. I have been waiting. But instead you have been frolicking with a male human. "He is just a friend Gawain." Star grumbled. "Oh I do hope." Gawain growled and brought her closer with his tail. "Don't touch me!" The elf smacked his tail away. "You should be kinder to the one who created you." The dragon wrapped his tail around her bare leg. "You recreated me! G'reth created me!" She protested and poked his tail with her sword, making him keep his parts to himself. "I guess I need to create one more loyal to me." The dragon smiled at her and swung his tail, pinning her to the ground. A flash of blinding light appeared and Star in the shape of Shadow was pinning Gawain. "How dare you!" Gawain growled and kicked her off. The fight was heard at the fountain, which was about half a mile away.

[Dark**Light]

Shadow heard the battle and started to fly over. She grabbed me with her claw and took me over to the scene. I climbed onto her back and said "This time they die! Mow Go!" Shadow replied With pleasure! She roared then dove down into the woods. She saw herself and shook her head. I carefully made my way to Shadow's tail then I said "Now Shadow!" She flung me and I landed with a jerk from my sword landing in Gawain's leg. I said "You leave Star alone you monster!" Shadow had called Saphira in and she and Shadow were standing behind Star while I was trying to get my sword out of Gawain's leg.

[Harley]

Gawain flung Jack off and Star used that moment to get out from under him. Gawain looked at the wound Jack had caused and saw it was five against one. "Not fair." He laughed and once again pinned Star. "Come close and I crush her." The dragon threatened, his claw on the shifters throat. "Go!" Star growled at Jack, a heavy glare piercing his chest. While Gawain was watching them, Star used her own claw and sunk them into his leg. He roared in rage but Star was already out from under him. But when he looked back to where she had disappeared, G'reth stood. The black dragon looked down at Gawain. "Destroying your creations?" He asked and picked the dragon up by his throat. "I gave you the power, I can take it away." Gawain struggled, but nothing worked. "Now, Star, which form are you willing to stay in for a while?" The question was easily answered. "Elf, of course." She replied. G'reth gripped the dragon tighter, and he disappeared. "You will know when you can change again." G'reth laughed and disappeared into the sky.

[Dark**Light]

I said "What was that about?"The little dragon walked over to her and flew up onto star's shoulder. I smiled and said "So, I'm really bored. What do you want to do?" Shadow perked up and said Jack. There's something that's not welcome here. What?i responded. A three headed dog. They can defeat me...and you! I told star and pulled out Norstar. I was in the ready position. I told star that I would need her help defeating the three headed dog.

[Harley]

"Lets just say when I was hunting..... uh I got very involved with dragons, there fore I'm am a quarter dragon who will lose her powers quite soon." Star smiled, looking into the little dragons big blue eyes. "I was given one wish, and that was to expirence other forms for my life. And Gawain took that away. G'reth is wise, but he doesn't know about the wish." Star sighed, her red hair cascading down her shoulders. "And if Gawain ever feels nce enough to give it back, I'm gonna be a dragon!"


She took her sword out of her belt, but resheathed it and turned into a huge golden dragon, ready to fight. "Interesting, G'reth knew you're Uncle Eragon. Though G'reth had a different name back then." Star said in Jack's head, because G'reth had told her.

[Dark**Light]

"Well, That's interesting. What are you gonna name the little fella?" I looked and saw the three headed dog...well more like a puppy. It was so cute. I walked up to it and it licked me. I laughed and picked it up. It jumped out of my arm and into the water. I swam over to the edge closest to star and hopped out. It licked star then ran along the edge back to me. I said "Well, looks like he was pretty easy to defeat." Shadow laughed and scratched the dogs belly. It was the funniest sight I had ever seen.

Star turned back into an elf, laughing. "Did your Uncle Eragon ever have a dragon?? And I don't know." She sighed, looking around and turning into her true form, just to get used to it.




(Whe G'reth said she couldn't change, he meant things like thw tiger and fairy, but her true form is OK, but now she is stuck for a while)

"Yes, her name's Saphira and I believe she's standing behind me." Saphira told star about how she drank a potion that made her live longer than Eragon. It was given to her by a man named Dextruz.(deck-truss) I looked at Shadow and she said He's a potion master and wants all dragons to himself. I had to stop and ponder about that. Nobody knew what Dextruz really looked like. All the people knew was that he wore a black cloak to cover up himself. In fact nobody knew what Dextruz's real name was. People called him Dextruz because that meant [/i]he who hides his face[i] in the elven language.

"Right, didn't she almost die in the battle when he killed the Shade?" She smiled a dragon smile, knowing a lot of the history. "I had a rider.... I know he isn't dead, well, because I would be dead."

[Dark**Light]

"It would be a shame if you died. Anyways, yes Saphira did almost die in a fight...if it weren't for my uncle. If she did die Shadow would have nobody,except maybe you,to teach her how to be a loyal and brave dragon." I told Star all about the time a squirrel made Shadow freak out and hide under a log when she was a few years younger than she is now. Shadow glared at me but soon started to laugh and said You know, its not that bad listening to you tell Star about the story. It was kinda funny. I looked around for Saphira but couldn't find her. I soon heard a loud cry from a dragon and yelled "Saphira!!" I ran over to the forest and stopped for a moment then said Shadow, fly above and scout the forest for Saphira. If you find her tell me where she is. I'll be looking for her in the woods. When we find her I'll call for you to get Star. I'll stay by her side while you find her. If I find her first then I'll tell you where to find us. Now go!! I looked at Star and said "Did you catch all that? If you did then fly that way and do what Shadow is doing." I pointed to the left side of the woods then ran off into the woods. I didn't see whether Star left or not but quite frankly I didn't care. The only thing I was thinking about was Saphira. I heard Shadow call me and say Eragon come quick!! I found her! She's by that Old Oak tree that you would tie me to when I was younger. I looked around then said "Scoulvlaques Fenn!!" I saw what Shadow saw and knew where she was. I ran to the tree and said "Mourse." That put my sight back to normal. I told Shadow Find Star. But hurry!! Saphira needs her. Shadow flew into the sky with a swift beat of her wings. I heard Saphira tell me in a faint voice Shadow has learned all she needs to know. I have completed the task. My time has come. Here...take this. Saphira pulled off one of her scales and gave it to me. She plucked a tail hair a poked a small hole into the top of the scale then put the tail hair through the loop. She gave it to me and said Now you'll never forget me. Her head fell to the ground and I knew she had died. I felt tears rolling down my cheek and faintly said "Saphira, don't leave me..." I heard her say in my mind As long as you have the necklace.....I'll never leave you. You'll hear my voice when you need it most and will feel the comfort of when I would rub against you. I'll never leave you. Before Eragon died he entrusted me to protect you...and I did and always will. I'll be there for you when you need me. She head lifted her head up off the ground and rubbed it against my face and said Eragon calls to me. I must go now. Never lose that necklace. If you do...you'll lose me. Her head fell to the ground and I saw Uncle Eragon walk out as a ghost. Saphira's ghost walk up to him. Eragon mounted her then they both flew to the skies.I started to cry again and soon i fell onto her neck and yelled out "Why?! Why did it have to be you!!!!!!!!" My cry could've been heard from the other side of the fountain. I heard Saphira's voice say Put the necklace on. You'll feel more comforted. I did so and all my tears dried up. Shadow was soon by my side. she said I heard your scream and stopped my search for Star to come back to you. I know it's sad to see her go. She gave me a necklace knowing that she would be going. It matches yours. Though yours means more because she gave it to you before she died. I got up from lying on Saphira's neck to the point that I was on my knees leaning on Shadow. Shadow and I spent hours gazing at the dead body of our teacher, our shoulder to cry on...our best friend.

(sorry about it being so long. I was bored and had to kill some time. Oh and sorry about taking so long to reply. I had to pack to go somewhere and I was in annapolis for a week.)

Star sighed, watching the skys. She took off, landing a mile away with crash. She ignored all comments or shouts, blocking her mind from others entering it. She was a dragon again. "Oh yay." She grumbled, letting out a roar. There was soft padding, and black flashes. Not the Razac! She cried, taking flight. A net landed around her foot, and pain shot through her wing.


Next thing she knew, she was on the ground with a net over her.
