I went to stand beside Ash "Was that what I think that was?" I asked. The screaming crys of the animal set my teeth on edge-

It was odd there was a village down here. I followed Ash and listened as the people talked about the creature. "Hey Ash do you think it would try to come up where we live?" I asked-

"Unless it can turn into a human I doubt that would happen it's to big and there is nothing for it up there that place is now sealed away from the rest of the world and only I can get through" I said and looked up at the griffon that landed in front of me and did not move much but just folded my arms across my chest "What do you want here? you don't normally eat humans" I said watching as it began circling us not moving in the slightest and just closed my eyes and hissed opening my red eye when it got too close to my neck and pulled the scarf off. "Oh great you can smell that old seal" I muttered angrily. "Such old, old magic you have, where did you get such a thing, those sort of tricks should be long gone" he said in a deep voice "I was born with it, and now I want answers" I said simply and blinked a few times feeling rather strange and shifted slightly seeing a smirk on it's beak.

I felt a little angry when he pulled Ashes scarf off. He was big and the red eye was down right creepy to me. He had a strong and deep voice, I wondered how old he might be. Maybe really old if knew a little about Ashes magic. I waited for him to awnser Ash-

"I don't really want to answer you, where have they all gone?" I closed my eyes "Dead, all but me,, they were killed long ago in the war... Now then why are you eating them?" "I'm hungry wouldn't you do the same?" opening my eyes I looked up "I don't kill for my food" I answered and put a hand on my markings feeling them burning a lot more than normal I got rather concerned " "that magic of yours is very old, tastes wonderful.. too bad it's infused iwht your life force but you have an awfully long lifespan as well" said the griffon as I fell slightly not feeling at all well not at all like me, I never got ill or if I did it wasn't anything that made me fall to my knees.

I look at the griffen the at Ash I stepped closer to her side "You ok?" I whispered. I didn't know if she had heard me, she was staring him down the same way he was with her. "Look why are you so intrested in Ashes magic anyway?" I asked "it's not like you can use them." I said or could he. I was getting worried agian-

"Because I like old things, she is not that old but that seal and the magic she has are very old a beautiful feast for a griffon and also every griffon needs to guard something and that magic is perfect for it'll be easy to guard as well" he said with a chuckle and I jsut looked to him with pure hatred and tried standing up. "Unfortunatly for you too much of that-" I stopped and shook my head seeing nothing was not a good sign always the first sense to go I just collasped my wings wrapped around and it sniffed me slightly "Hmm, it really was infused with her life force guess I took a bit too much at once for her to handle and to think she was one of them" he chuckled and flew up to his cave quite pleased with himself.

I wasn't responding much at all but still managed to speak "I don't know, I feel tired and weak, it's strange I guess" I said struggling to my feet my wings tried to keep me balanced and the markings burning furiously on my neck made me wince in pain biting my lip so I didn't make a sound and folded my wings to my back. I didn't want to ask for help I just never did since I could not recall anyone helping when I asked but I didn't know what to do at all and just felt lost.

I sighed "Look let's find a place to get away fom that creep so you can rest for a minute. And please don't say you don't want to rest, I think we both need to sit down for a minute." I said. I ddin't want to seem mean just wanted to get away from this place so Ash didn't have to face that Griffen agian-

I shifted slightly and was about to say 'I didn't want to rest' but stopped when he said not to say it and one of the small girls looked to us and went over "you can get her to rest in our house, Papa might be able to find out what's wrong" she said.
Once we were inside her father exmained my neck "He absorbed your magic and a lot of it... you are not to fight got it?" I frowned "Well I'm not going to sit here hopeless am I?" I said sternly "Also your having a side effect from something else correct?" "why does everyone keep mentioning that, it's nothing serious it'll go away with time" I said turning away slightly "If it does it might take a while" he said and I stood up heading towards the door again and my wings rustled and folded neatly on my back. I was about to go outside again to find it I shook my head still seeing nothing but darkness despite the fact it wasn't even dark.

The griffon quite pleased with himself was curled up in his cave but could not harness one of the abilties I had due to the sestivey of his eyes it would not work and he could not use half of it because it was not designed for his race. He frowned slightly but it was still a very old magic one of the first kinds at that. "I must find some more... where has she hidden?"

Once she got there I stood up a followec close beahind "Ash you need to stay here inside for a while." I said. Seeing something was wrong I said "Ash?"

"I can't see a thing, why is it pitch black?" I asked and turned around my eyes were misty. "It's a side effect their eyes are very senstive hence why they can see what they can, I'm a half blood so I know tthis stuff but being a pureblood it effects her more judging by her markings she is rather dangerous and one of the Alma family as well, her magic was absorbed so she lost the ability to see due to the simple fact it took part of her life force as well and she needs it back"
I shuffled slightly and rustled my wings knowing they were both right and that I should stay inside but I really didn't want to sit around and do nothing.
"Also she has a small side effect as well which can come naturally to some it-" "Oh hush, I'vehad enough bad news today I don't need anymore, despite not being able to see I'm still not going to sti around and do nothing"

"simple she needs to get back what she lost before the rest of her shuts down, her body won't be able to cope with the lack of somethign she has grown up with and the seal is burning her neck like crazy" He said showing fresh burning on his skin. I had tied her tattered scarf aroudn my waist as well my markings had turned red due to the burning which I winced slightly and the girl look to me "Miss are you alright?" "I'm fine it happens, it's just a little bit worse than usual" I said smiling weakly to hide it and rustled my winga "I still have a good sense of smell I don't need help" I said

The griffon had spotted us again and was planning to take more since it was so special to him. Landing in the shadows hiding and waiting.

"of course I do, If I don't then I'll most likely starve to death since i need to be able to see my food in order to find it" I said pretty annoyed. "Make sure hse doesn't go near him one more speck and she'll be in serious danger" he said as I walked out and rustled my hair and tried to regain my sight but failed and just accpeted the face I would need help and just gave up not wanting to argue for once.

I stopped "Your terrible at hiding you know, I can smell you" "and by the looks of you your not going to last much longer, wonder what'll happen if I take a bit more, those makrings of yours are holding up nicely as well" he said chuckling as everyone else retreated inside but I just stood there lifting ym head to the sound of it's voice "Just wait until I get what I lost back" I said angrily and felt my wings nudge me in warning alerting me to the fact he was circling again.

I hissed angrily and closed my eyes trying to pick up where he was not wanting him near me at all and shyed away as he tried to get near my neck.

I reached for the sword at my waist-oh thats right Echo is still up above ground. "Stay back!" I said getting in front of Ash once the griffen moved to touch her. I didn't know how she would get her powers back but she couldn't loose what she had left and if it was all gone I thought she might not stand a chance to getting them back.

"Oh look your freind isn't just standing back like last time" "Well I would apart from I can't actually see" I said being blunt. He did stop when he was told to but just loked to him "and what can you do? you have no weapon, guessing you left it above correct little man?" he chuckled deeply. I cursed in my head trying to think of something to do since I really did hate not being able to do anything I needed to find out where he was weak and use that to get my powers back usually I would just take him head on as usual as well as getting into a lot of trouble but with no sight it would be diffcult and my daggers weren't exactly up to scratch either.
I lifted my head towards the sound hesitantly in a way and being careful in a way stepping forward half a step almost bumping into Tye

I frowned in a way he had me there, I had no powers but thats what wings where for to fly. I looked at Ash, "Do you think you can go stay at that house while I get Deadly and Echo to help?" I asked, or she could go with me but couldn't that tier her? I turned to look at the griffen "What could get you to stay away from Ash?"

"So that's her name?" " I steadied myself and sniffed the air... "Well my companion is coming so she'll drag Echo with her" I said softly and Deadly stood beside me and frowned. "What on earth happened to you, your eyes are misty" she said and turned into a scythe and I lay her on my back. "Hmm, I wonder what do you have to offer boy? He said and lay down with a chuckle his shadow like firgure watching intently for any sudden movements.
Deadly nudged my back "and listen to what he has to say, you know his right" I frowned slightly and shuffled not moving very much being stubborn as usual.

"I don't know, you decide I'm handing this problem over to you" I said simply and Deadly seemed a bit shocked and nudged my back. "That is something new" "Oh Hush, I have my reasons" I said and tapped her blade.
