Macy tugged on the chain, but only managed in choking herself. She laid down with a heavy heart and continued to howl her song.

Buck was finally sleep. As her slept, he dreamed. Pictures of him and Macy danced in his head. Suddenly, he woke up. When its still night, he could get Macy, and they can run off toghther. he thought. He got up and followed her trail.

When Buck's howl died down, she quieted herself and a single tear rolled down her cheek and she closed her eyes, falling into a deep and troubled sleep as she sat out in the cold.

Buck saw her and jumped the fense. He looked at her, seeing she was sleep. He untied the knots and tried waking her up. "Macy." he whispered.

Macy woke easily and looked up to see Buck. "Buck!" She whispered and tackled him happily, licking him all over.

Buck giggled as she attacked him. "You thought I was just gonna leave you?" he asked and pushed her off with his hind-legs. "Come on, we gotta go." he whispered.

Macy nodded quickly and followed behind Bruce, nipping his tail playfully every now and then.

Buck dashed off into the woods, leaving behind his old cave til they were far away enough from the town and stopped. "Your home." he murmured, licking her cheek.

"Beautiful," Macy said, rubbing up against him, letting out a small heat scent by accident, but she didn't notice. She smiled and tackled him again playfully, wrestling him. She was feeling much better after she had rested.

Buck smiled and wrestled with her also, he smelled her heat scent, but he would not be rude. He'd wait til she was ready...

Macy laughed, enjoying herself, but soon got off of him and sat down, wrapping her tail around her. "Now what?" she asked, wagging her tail slowly.

Buck shrugged. "What have you always wanted to do out in the wild?" he asked quietly.

"I don't know," she replied. "I never thought I'd be here." after a couple minutes, she said, "I'm cold." She rubbed up against him and rested her head on his shoulder, yawning.

Buck smiled. "Let's go in here." he said leading her into the cave.

Macy followed him and smiled. It was cozy. She laid down and snuggled up to him, rolling over on her back and batting his nose playfully.

Buck laughed and batted her nose right back. "Just like when we met..." he murmured.

"I love you," she whispered. "I want to be by you forever." She looked at him with a serious expression.

Buck felt warmness fill his heart and he nuzzled her. "I love you too." he murmured softly.

Macy looked away for a second, suddenly nervous. She was well aware she was in heat now, and wasn't exactly comfortable bringing up the subject. She wagged her tail slowly and looked back at Buck.

Buck tilted his head and looked at her. "What's wrong?" he asked quietly.

"Nothing," Macy replied quietly. "Nothing's wrong." She smiled.

Buck laughed. "Okay!" he said happily. "How about I teach you some hunting?" he asked with a excited smile across his face.

"That works," Macy said rolling over and getting up, hiding what she wanted to tell him. She wanted a family. She was ready, but she didn't know if he was.

Buck smiled and went out the cave. "Okay, follow me." he said and trotted over to the plains where it was best to hunt elk and deer.

Macy padded after him, keeping her tail clamped down casually, making sure no heat scent would escape.
