Clover skidded down the rocks and stones. "No!" she screamed. Whines of disbelief came from her throat. She trotted over to her mate and nuzzled his neck and his whole body. She tried looking for a pulse, but it was to late... he was gone. "No!" she repeated. Blood stained her muzzle as she never gave up trying to find it...

Vulters circled his body, caw caw. she heard. They were waiting for her to tear him open. One landed on his side and start to pick on him. Clover bared her teeth and gave the loudest growl. "Get away!" 'away' echoed in the mountians a few times. The vultures flew away. Usually, they didn't give up but then she heard a great roaring sound. The earth started to shake violently. She turned to see that there was a huge anlvanlanch starting she began running as fast as she could...

It was now up behind her now, suddenly she saw sonething, something small... she gave the strength to go faster and suddenly, she did. She digged as fast as she could as it came faster and faster and finally, she digged the small hole and smiled. Before she did, she gave one last glance on where she left her mate's body and went inside whimpering in the fear of her mate being gone.

Finally, the misunderstood brute found a small rocky ledge with a crevice barely big enough for his bulk to fit into. He squeezed in and curled his tail around his nose. The ledge would stop any snow from falling on his shelter, this way it wouldn't collapse on him, or be trapped by the snow guarding the tiny entrance and exit.


Brian watched the snow fall way over his shelter. Times like this made him lonely, and wanting a body next to him, to comfort, love and protect him. None of this had happened since his mate, Rena, was killed. He whined at the cold. It bothered him greatly. The minutes seemed like hours as the blinding snow tumbled by. The brute was cramped and his muscles ached. "Why must I face the world without you Rena?" He asked, looking to the white snow sky. His fur kept most warmth in, but it could nothing for his freezing, shattering heart. Ever since Rena died, he was a killer, killing all the brutes that he could find. Because a brute had killed Rena, it was a couple winters ago, and every thing was starving. Not many wolves had been driven to cannibalism, but only one brute that Brian new of did. Savagely and with no mercy, the brute killed Brian's true love. His child-hood friend, his mate. Faes had learned of his behavior and avoided him. Most new of him quite well. So here he was, alone, in a cramped den. Cold, alone, cold, alone, the words haunted his mind. "Get out of my head!" He snarled. They kept going in circles, ignoring his brain trying to push them out.[/b][/color][/color]

Clover whinned, thinking she heard her name over the roaring over the snowy blizzard. She then heard someone next to her she whinned and looked around. "Hello?" She called quietly.. "Who's there?"

Brian-
The brute perked his ears to the whine. He knew the sound of a fae when he heard one. Barking back, "Yeah, I'm here!" Then snarled at himself for sounding so impolite. Turning around in his cramped hiding place, Brian dug at a weak spot int he dirt. After about 5 minutes of this, a little tunnel opened up, just big enough for him to fit through. He barked down it, "Any one in there?!"
