Sokki, a leader, a teamate, and free

Sokki pulled with all her might, she was in front, the leader just like she should be. She looked back at the team of dogs behind her pulling on the snow and the sled gliding over the rough ground. Some of them looked tired, but she didn't care, if they complained she'd snap at them, so they kept their mouth's shut. She ran with a smile on her face, the harness around her digging into her fur since she was pretty much the only one pulling she could feel the dogs slacking off behind her. She made a face and rolled her eyes she heard her human say one word "woah" and she stopped the dogs almost crashing into her, what idiots! She waited while her human did up a tent for the night and made a fire. He gave the dogs food and they fought over it. He unclipped her from the harness but leaving the heavy collar on, he gave her a bowl of meat that was all her's. If the dogs tried to take it from her they'd get a beating. That was Sokki headstrong, tough, Sokki. She was only nice to the ones she loved but to others, well let them go to hell. She bounded up the mountain still wanting to run, it was dark but she didn't care, she could encounter any creature and come out unscaved..right?

I come in to see Sokki eating I run to her "Sokki!" I give a happy yip, and nuzzle her gently

Sokki stopped running and cocked her head "oh, hi Blurr" she said quickly

Sokki smiled "of course you are" she said and started to pad away "come on, i want to explore" she said looking back

Sokki smiled as she padded forward "lets hope we don't run into any trouble" she said and giggled

"Yeah I know." I say and I pass her I was as curious as she was.

Sokki smiled and looked around as she padded faster and reached his side her ears pricked forward listening to her surroundings

I smiled and walked slowly I didn't wanna miss nothing amazing.

Sokki padded a little faster knowing that pretty soon she'd have to get back to the sled team

It finally came to me I was fast I had energy I was ready I looked at Sokki "Sokki," I say lightly "What would you say if I joined the team with you?" I ask her and smile "I pretty fast"
(Well I'm pretty sure you can see another have you saw how the real balto looks?"

Sokki pricked her ears and giggled "you really think your up for it i mean, im pretty fast" she said and cocked her head

Sokki laughed and bounded after him easily keeping stride she looked over at him and smiled

"We're both fast." I say and slow down "You think you can get your master into it?" I ask and cock my head.

(I know but now he's dead and his body in clevland)

"Ok let's head back." I said happily.

Sokki seemed uncomfortable, she shifted her paws "i don't know...just different from the rest of us" she said and looked up
