Midnight hid behind me to stay out of the way and i whispered to Nikita.."how about we run for it, care to give me a lift, Midnight you know what to do" i said

Nikita glared at the man as he slowly started to pick up the lasso she looked at Leo and understod what she wanted she bent down slightly so she could get on

i jumped on and Midnight vanished into the bushes she went into the smallest and best hiding spot we had found earlier that day.. no one but me and midnight knew where it was...
"now let,s show them what we're made of" i said and gripped the mane with a smile

Nikita gave a small half rear and started to bolt away the man who had grabbed a lasso was too stunned to throw it over Nikita's neck seeing that a girl could ride her, Nikita made her gallop fast but smooth so Leo wouldn't fall off

i smiled and looked back as they chased after us "amazing, they're so slow, this is why riding bareback rules" i said smiled and patting her neck with one hand.."hey why is he stunned, hasn't anyone ridden you?"

Nikita neighed and gave a little buck and shook her large head as she galloped. The men had finally started to give chase with their loud "yah's" and their spurs clacking against their horses could have scared the whole forest away. Nikita made a tight turn and kept galloping

i kept my balance very well and then smirked at the guys behind me... when one of them got closei grabbed some acorns and started chuking them at the man making him turn his horse suddenly.. "strike" i said ahppily laughing at the guys behind us...

Nikita laughed and nickered loudly she kept running not tiring from the exhilirating run

one of them threw their lasso and just missed.. "missed us, missed us" i shouted back at them

Nikita slightly spooked at the lasso and jumped forward and didn't see the man that had tried to cut them off now he was in front of them Nikita started to dig her hooves into the ground trying to slow down to avoid a collision

i turn her away from them quickly and we jumped over a log.... "keep going, there is a river up ahead"

Nikita galloped on heading for the river as she neared it she started to slow down

"over the log bridge, they are a way behind and the river is too deep and fast to cross without a bridge so they won't be able to follow and Midnight has Already crossed useing a short cut" i said and turned her towards the log and let her take her time to cross it balanceing out my wieght on her to help

Nikita took her first few steps but the log stared creaking and she bounced back staring at the log with frightened eyes, she didn't want to cross it, she looked at the river below and took another step back, the men appeared in view behind them

i sliped off and went along infront of her.."c'mon it's a lot sturder than it looks, trust me" i said and walked along a bit my hand staying beside her muzzle

Nikita took a slow, wary step forward and looked at the river again she looked back to see the men were pretty close and one of them was getting a lasso ready, she took another step both her front hooves on it,

once nikita got across i kicked the log hard and it moved and they had been stopped in their tracks.. "never try to beatme at my own game suckers" i said to them and smiled.. Midnight came over and whinned sticking her tounge out and nuzzleing Nikita...

Nikita stared back at the man and neighed louldy rearing, the man glared at Leo and sharply turned his horse, the bit cutting the edges of its mouth he turned around and the men followed he said something to one of them and kept going

i looked to them carefully and whispered to them both." thier planning something, everyone must stay alert ok" i said and i made Nikita and Midnight go first as we went into the forest.. "i cut of other way, yep yep" said Midnight happily prancing around us..."your like a wind up toy, after you sleep for a bit your as hyper as ever"

Nikita walked beside them and looked at Midnight "you did very good" she said and that ment a lot, Nikita barely talked she nuzzled Midnight and kept walking

Midnight nuzzeled her as well happily and nipped her forlock or tried to... i smiled at them and then looked around

Nikita stopped, still very tired from her run she sighed and lowered her head half closing her eyes

"i think we should stop for abit" i said and sat down.. Midnight lay down beside me resting her head on my lap like a little dog would and i smiled...

Nikita immediatly lied down heavily and fell asleep instantly into a deep sleep

i got up with midnight and sat beside her stroking ehr gently as she fell asleep Midnight snuggled up close to her happily resting..i smiled watching Midnight settle down and kept a watch out for anyone
