Re: The Vampires Shadow
Will leaned over her shoulder, scanning over the pages. He didn't think she would really let him take the books from her, the old one or Brian's, so he didn't even try.
"What do they say?" he tried a different approach, his thigh touching her's as he sat beside her on the couch. At once, he was all-too aware of her entire being, but he made no move to get away from her.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Frustrated Ally looked down at the books open in her lap, she didn't understand any of it. Letting out a breath she rubbed her left eyes trying to calm down, shrugging her hands fell to her sides as she looked back down at the words of the old book she wanted to chuck across the room. "Brain's in a bunch of notes and what not....And this freakin book.." Letting out a huff Ally glanced down at their thighs touching but didn't say anything about it or move. It honestly was kinda nice knowing someone else was with her.
"It goes on saying the Shadow Thing will get strong as time goes on, but one with a mark with stop him." She flipped the page, eyes wide she looked down at the picture of the page, suddenly she pushed the book off her lap and scrambled to her feet starting to freak out more. "How?! What?!" Looking down at the book on the ground like it was going to bit her Ally swallowed hard " Th-thats my mark....Why dose that book have my mark in it?!" Trembling slightly Ally looked down at the book then at Will.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Rolling his shoulders back as Ally jumped up, Will looked at her quizzically, but she was already stammering out an explanation before he could ask. From the corner of the living room, Hades looked up as well, a piece of leather dangling between his white lips, before he yawned and went back to chewing on the boot. Leaning forward, Will bent down to slowly pick up the book, his fingers tracing over the diagram slowly, a thoughtful look on his face.
"Well, if I had to guess," he started, scanning over the paragraphs labelling the picture quickly before continuing. "I would say that it means that you are "The One," making air quotes, as well, "and your brother probably knew this, as well."

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Looking down at the book then at Will Ally swallowed hard trying hard not to freak out and panic about this but it wasn't working every well. Listening to him she started pacing the floor between the couch an coffee table. "Why me?!" She asked throwing her hands in the air as she paced past him. Her mind was racing now as she nibbling on her bottom lip, causing the skin to get raw "What didn't anyone tell me? Why didn't that stupid school tell me? How hard it is to tell someone?"
She would stumble on Will's feet every now and then as she paced "Brain never told me! My own brother!" She mimicked her bother "By the way Ally, your 'The One' to stop the shadow thing from taking over, it's in all the books and your mark is in the shadow book, ya know the really old one? Well your mark is in it" Ending with her hands in the air Ally looked over at Will swallowing hard again.
"I-I can't do this...What if I die? Then what? The world ends as we know it. What if I get someone killed? What if you or your brother gets killed because of me?" Fear was in her eyes as she looked at him "What if I can't so it....?" She whispered.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Will grit his teeth slightly as she paced, saying nothing every time she trodded on his feet, just waiting until she took a break from talking to breathe before he said anything. "First off, if you're brother is the braniac you make him out to be, then I honestly doubt that he talks like that," he frowned at her. Finally having enough, he jumped up and took a hold of her shoulders, jerking her around to face him and bring her to a standstill.
"Stop," he said, his tone harsher than he meant for it to be, but he kept going anyway. "Stop worrying. My brother and I can take care of ourselves, we'll be fine. And if you were Picked or Chosen or whatever, do you really think it would have happened if you weren't cut out for it?" He shook his head slightly. "Why are you doubting yourself now?"

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Ally gave him a slight sneer when he told her, he doubted her brother talked like that and he was right but she didn't care at the moment. " Oh just shut up" She grumbled pacing hands waving around still as she talked more to herself more then anything.
Ally yelped in surprise when suddenly Will jerked her to a stop by her shoulders and jerked her around to face him. Looking up at him slightly startled she winced a little at his grip on her shoulders and the harsh tone he used. Mouth slightly open to snap back, she looked up at him but nothing was coming out of her mouth this time. Shaking her head she looked up at him, her hands slapping against her thighs, he told her to not worry about then but really? That was easier said then done. "Yeah I do..." She snorted glancing down at the ground "I haven't just started doubting myself " Shrugging under his hands she let out a breath, she was scared that she couldn't do it worried for her friends and felt like someone had just asked her to hold the world for a little bit.
"How and I going to do this Will?" She asked looking back up at him "Just tell me that, because Im out of ideas, all I've got is a old book I don't understand and my brothers notebook that I barley understand"

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Nooo, I had an epic post, but accidently hit the back button and lost it D: eh, let's try again...
Will's eyes watched Ally carefully, a little surprised that she didn't immediately have some snippy response to snap back at him. He wondered briefly if he was being too harsh, but pushed the thought back, although he did try to soften his tone as well as his grip on her shoulders when he next spoke.
"Well, then stop," he said, only slightly joking. "Honestly, you're not going to get very far, ever, if you're too afraid to move forward because you aren't sure if you can do it or not," he said, shaking his head slightly down at her. Ally was quiet for a moment before she answered him. Will's thumbs absentmindedly rubbed soft circles into her shoulders as he racked his brain for something to say when he replied.
"Well, for one, you're going to keep going through all your little books like you're studying for a test, that way you memorize it all before you try to figure out what it means. And you're going to get back to work with a positive attitude," he said, frowning down at her and pausing to let his words take effect in her before he continued. "And you're going to remember that you aren't alone, even if your brother is gone. And besides, he left you something to go off of, so isn't that better than nothing at all?"q

Re: The Vampires Shadow
I hate it when I do that! You have a awesome post then its gone.....
Looking up at him Ally felt his grip loosen on her shoulders, his hands no longer feeling like he was bruising skin. Looking up at him she tried to smile but it wasn't working and just listened, "You've been reading forchin cookies again haven't you?" Ally tried to make it sound like she didn't care but he was right...geez she hated it when he was right about something like this. Her body relaxed a little as his thumbs rubbed soft circles into her shoulders, she had to sop herself from just sagging into him.
Looking up at him a tired scared look in her eyes Ally bit down on her bottom lip, she was out of ides and scared about what was happening. Letting out a breath she looked at their feet as he told her, she was going to go back to the books and have everything memorized so when everything fell into place she wouldn't be confused but know what to do, oh and he wanted her to do it with a positive attitude. The guy that didn't really care about anything, fell into the bad boy category way on the top, was telling her to have a positive attitude about all of this. Slowly her gaze met his again as she kept nibbling down on her bottom lip, listening too him still. "Right a notebook I barley understand, but hey thats something" Her tone was sarcastic but she deflated a little more after that. He told her she wasn't alone, did that mean he was going to help her or was he just saying that so she didn't get to emotional on him?
Ally wasn't sure what he had meant by that but she needed something at the moment, some solid ground while everything else was crumbling down around her again. "Im scared Will" She said softly sagging into him, her forehead against his solid chest , eyes squeezed closed. "It's not just my life I loose if I can't do this, millions of lives are on the line" She whispered still sagged into him hands at her sides. She didn't know how to do this, she knew she needed too do this and have a better attitude about it but being scared for a moment was fine in her book, this wasn't just a game it was real life. No second life to bring you back.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Will rolled his eyes slightly. "That's why I'm telling you to memorize the stupid thing before you try to decipher it. It doesn't matter if you can't understand it; you need to work on it, and try to find someone who may know a little about this sort of thing." It seemed as though all the fight had suddenly left her, and Will found himself suddenly afraid that she might be about to collapse against him.
A moment later was when it happened, and for a moment, Will was left with absolutely no idea what to do. Sure, he had dated many girls throughout his life, but it had never been on any emotional status, and so this was... different. Pulling his hands from her shoulders, he slowly wrapped his arms around her small, slightly trembling frame, wondering if it was the right thing to do or not. But it felt right, in an odd sense, so he continued to hold her. "Don't be," he told her softly. "You're going to figure out a way to get through this. These things don't just happen, Ally, it takes a long time to get something going." After a moment, he tilted his head slightly to look down at her, frowning.
"Have you eaten yet this morning?" She looked so pale and fragile; completely exhausted.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Eyes squeezed closed forehead against his chest Ally sagged more into Will, and got a fist full of his shirt in one hand. She was scared and unsure if she could really do this, kill a shadow? OR something that ate shadows and could control them, how was she supposed to kill that? Will kept telling her she was going to have the stupid book memorized, that she needed to work on it and when she got something figured out she would know what to do. God when did he get so logical?
She felt his hands move from her shoulders and for a moment she thought he was going to push her back, but he slowly wrapped his arms around her catching her by surprise, sure she was sagged into him but she didn't expect him to hold her.
It felt nice to be in his arms, someone holding her letting out a shaky breath she leaning more into him. She confessed that she was scared, he told her she'd figure it out, it would just take time.
Sighing she leaned more into him savoring the feeling of his arms around her, her leaning into him. Tilting her head up she looked up at him and tried to smile and shook her head. "No...Im not hunrgy and food sounds gross right now" She shrugged one shoulder looking up at him. She was exhausted, wanting to curl up in bed and sleep for a week but she had to read over the book, go to the 'old market' see if anyone there knew anything about this and get the things on Brain's list and see if she make the shadow blinding spell.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Will lifted one eyebrow slowly up, so that it formed a perfect arch across his features, as he looked down at her. "I think you might need to eat something. You could change your mind once you smell something," he added. She looked exhausted, and still unsure, so Will gently squeezed her reassuringly.
"Hey, you're not alone, so don't give me that deer-in-the-headlights look. It's gonna be okay," he told her persuasively, trying to give her one of his best, crooked smiles. He was fully aware of how close their bodies were, and right now he wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing, or if he liked it or not.
"Uhm..." Matthew stood at the top of the stairs, a beer in one hand, looking at the two. When they didn't hear him, he tried coughing a bit, or a lot, louder, until both their heads turned in surprise to look at him.
"So, are you two, like, a thing now? And if so, would ya mind going to Will's room? This is my house too. And I think Hades might be a little young to see that kind of thing," he said, only somewhat sarcastic, as he began to make his way down the stairs. Honestly, he didn't understand his brother sometimes, nor did he think he wanted to. At the sound of his name, the big white tiger looked up from his mat, yawned widely, his long white fangs glinting in the light. Then he lay his massive head down again and closed his eyes, going back to sleep in the sunlight.
Will could have sworn his heart froze, then sped up again, though whether it was from embarrassment or irritation, he didn't know. He shook his head, loosening his grip on Ally. His arms slid from her waist and back, and he took a step back, not meeting her eyes just yet.
"Shut up, Matt. I've seen some of the things you do, and you know I'm a lot quieter than you when I want to be. Specifically in the middle of the night. When you're asleep." Moving past Ally, he grabbed a blanket off the floor and folded it, setting it on the couch. Matthew snorted.
"Yeah, sorry 'bro, but you aren't that intimidating anymore," Matt said with a smile, finally venturing down the stairs and disappearing into the kitchen.
"Yeah, keep saying that, see what eventually happens," Will muttered quietly, more to himself than anyone, though he was certain Ally, and Hades, could hear him, if not Matt, as well, though he for one never replied.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Looking up at him Ally shrugged weakly again at the look she got from him, if she hadn't been so worried exhausted and scared she would have laughed. "Really Will, I already feel like throwing up, food will only make it worse" She told him and tried to smile at the gentle squeeze he gave her, it felt nice, just something letting her know that she wasn't alone.
Looking up at him she tried to smile as he talked "Yeah you keep telling me that, and coming from you Im not sure if were in the twilight zone or not" She tried to joke but it was pretty bad, she couldn't even chuckle or laugh at the crooked smile he gave her. Her hands were still in fists gripping his shirt, still standing close to him, so their bodies were barley touching, and honestly Ally was liking it...To much more then she should have been but she was, it was nice, comforting to have someone holding onto her, telling her that it was going to be ok instead of her telling herself that it was going to be alright.
Ally bit down on her bottom lip thinking about something to say back, when she heard Matt coughing rather loudly, turning to look at him with a surprised look on her face she frowned slightly then rolled her eyes at his comments. Any other day Ally would have come up with a quick comeback bit today? The best she could think of was "Oh shut up Matt" Which was just plain sad on her part. She glanced over at Hades as he yawned widely looking over at them before laying his massive head down again falling back asleep.
Ally looked back at Matt then too Will but he had a weird look on his face, like he was embarrassed being caught comforting her, being this close and touching her. He grip loosened on her then was gone altogether and he took a step back. Ally frowned a little more looking at him, but he wasn't meeting her gaze, her heart squeezed a little as her stomach dropped threatening to throw up even more now. Will snapped back at Matt and grabbed a blanket off the floor folded it setting it back onto the couch, leaving Ally in the middle of the living room looking like a idiot, a exhausted, scared pale and working hard on not throwing up idiot.
She looked over at Matt and just shook her head watching him walk into the kitchen and just looked back at Will as his muttered comment and curled back onto the couch.
Her stomach rolled hard again and Ally swallowed carefully sitting up a little Not here....please not in front of Will and Matt.. She pleaded with her stomach but it didn't seem to care rolling again, bolting up she ran into the little hall bathroom and barley made it to the toilet before she lost the little she had in her stomach. She groaned gagging a little before spitting and flushing the toilet, sinking down to the floor, she rested her head against the cold ceramic and sighed eyes closed. Her stomach cramped up a little but it was nothing big. The coldness felt good against her heated skin, sighing again Ally didn't move off the floor no in fact she fell asleep.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
Will wasn't watching Ally as she curled up on the couch; instead, he was fixing the blanket on the couch. He heard her sit down, but he didn't really bother turning around to look at her. It was stupid; he'd been with plenty of other girls before, so why did this feel like the first time? He wasn't aware of anything outside of his thoughts before Ally suddenly leapt up from where she had been lying, disappearing from the living room just seconds later. A door slammed closed down the hallway, which Will guessed to be to the bathroom, judging by where the sound came from.
Looking up, he looked curiously in the direction she had gone, seeing Matt poke his head around the corner. He looked down the hall, then to Will, smirking.
"Guess she doesn't seem to think you're that great," he teased lightly. Will scowled, picking up and throwing whatever was closest to him at his younger brother. Which, in this case, happened to be a couch pillow, so it wasn't as menacing or threatening as he would have like. Matt laughed at him.
"Shut up, Matt. Don't you have something, anything to be doing besides hanging around here, anyway?" Will asked in annoyance. His brother seemed to just like mooching off of him and living at his place. 'Eventually, that's going to have to change,' Will thought to himself.
"Chill, bro, I was just joking," Matt said, shaking his head slightly and walking back into the kitchen. Will scowled at his back, making a decent threatening face, but his brother never saw it, disappearing back into the kitchen. Will could hear the fridge open and the cap of a beer bottle being pulled off.
He gave Ally a few minutes before he slowly started down the hall, ignoring the pointedly annoying looks Matt shot his way from the other room. He paused at the bathroom door, lifting a hand to knock.
"Ally?" No answer. After a moment, he took the door knob in his hand and turned it, surprised to find it unlocked. Pushing open the door cautiously, he peered around the frame to see Ally on the floor across from the toilet, passed out. Swearing softly under his breath, he pushed the door open the rest of the way and walked across the tiled floor, stooping down beside her. Checking her vitals, he found her pulse to be strong and steady, and she was breathing normal, although she did have a slight temperature when he felt her forehead and cheeks. Sighing, he shook her shoulder gently. The only reply he got was a soft groan and incomprehendable murmur.
"Ally, Ally you need to wake up." Another soft series of nearly inaudible groans. Taking a deep breath, Will leaned back, rocking on his heels.
"Okay, then," he muttered to himself, before slowly maneurvering his arms around her back and under her knees, lifting her slowly and as gently as he could into his arms. Standing up, he turned with her, careful to not hit her on the door or walls as he carried her out of the bathroom. Matt looked up from the bar in the kitchen.
"What happened?" Will just shook his head, turning the corner and heading up the stairs with her. He was aware of Hades following close behind him, but ignored him for the time being as he reached the landing and walked into his room with her. She stirred, but never fully woke up, and Will laid her gently down onto his bed, straightening back up and watching her for a moment before he tugged a spare blanket over her sleeping body. On his way out, he turned to see the big white cat watching him.
"Hey, boy," he muttered, patting him softly before he left. Hades watched him go before turning to look back at Ally. With a sigh, as though he knew exactly what was going on, he walked into the room and laid down by the bed, facing the door and resting his massive head on his forepaws.

Looking up, he looked curiously in the direction she had gone, seeing Matt poke his head around the corner. He looked down the hall, then to Will, smirking.

Re: The Vampires Shadow
The cold ceramic felt so good against Ally's heated skin, she was so tired scared and felt like the weight of the world no two worlds had been placed on her shoulders. Stopping a shadow...How she was going to do it, she didn't know but all she knew was she had too stop it or him or whatever some how.
The floor was surprisingly comfy sighing in her sleep Ally only grumbled at the knock on the door, she would have waved him off if she had been more awake then asleep. Someone with cool hands touched her cheeks, it felt nice, then that someone shook her shoulders getting a breathed out groan from her with a mumble. The voice and shaking of the shoulder wouldn't stop getting more groans and murmurs from her, if she had the energy she would have waved the person off but she didn't.
Why couldn't the person just leave her alone? All she wanted was sleep, and they wouldn't leave her alone.
Groaning again when someone picked her away from the nice cold floor, this was warm and was breathing. Making a soft groaning sound she nuzzled her head against his shoulder, as Will carried her up the stairs, she stirred a little but was so far gone into sleep that she only mumbled or made a soft sound, head against his shoulder. She was still hot but his warmth felt nice too. Then that warmth was gone getting a sound of complaint from her but the bed was soft and kinda warm. With a sigh she nuzzled her head into the pillow and curled up a little as Will covered her with a blanket getting another sigh from her.
Ally wasn't sure how long she had been out of it but when she started waking up, her head hurt, she had the chills and her throat hurt. Groaning she pushed hair out of her eyes and looked around the room with bleary eyes, yawning she rubbed her eyes and blinked at the sun light pouring into the room. Her throat was killing her, sliding out of the bed she grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around her shoulders, and wrapped it around herself and slowly stumbled her way down the stairs still yawning and blinking at the light. The blanket smelled like Will, kinda spicy with danger and darkness laced in, it was hard to explain especially now as her mind wasn't working right, it was well just how Will smelled.
Going slowly down the stairs Ally looked around the living room "Will? Matt? Hades?" She called out weakly and winced when she swallowed. " Tea and pain killers, thats all I want...and maybe more sleep" She grumbled wrapping the blanket tighter around her and walked into the kitchen. Hopefully they had tea, she doubted it but was still hoping. Walking into the kitchen she looked around and opened one cabinet, stood on tiptoes and looked around for the tea or something that would help her throat out. She didn't have time to be sick but at the moment Ally really didn't care, she just wanted her throat to stop hurting and to crawl back into bed and sleep for a week.
"Of course they don't have tea..." She grumbled still looking, blanket hanging on her shoulders, hair a wild messy, cheeks flushed from the slight fever she had, eyes not quiet clear.
