Royal Jewel Looks For a Mate

Royal Jewel: I stand in the middle of a large meadow in the forest, my unusual icy blue eyes scaning everything around me for signs of another of my kind. I snort and flick my tail accidently releasing my scent, then walk over to the river beside me and drink then lift my head and look around again. Life was hard for me, not only becuase I was one of the only zebras on horse island but also because I was probably the only zebra in the world that had blue eyes and light brown stripes instead of black eyes and black stripes.

~Stripes~
I trotted through the forest, my black and white stripes sticking out blandly. I blinked my black eyes and looked around. Suddenly I skidded to a halt, my small hooves kicking up the dirt. I flared my nostrils and took in the sweet scent of a mare in heat. I turned and headed towards it, silently wishing it wouldn't be another "normal" mare.

Royal Jewel: I start grazing on the tall grass beside the river that went up to about my knee, but quickly jerk my head up at the sound of hooves near by. I snort and flare my nostrils catching the scent of a young stallion around my age. I lay my ears flat against my head and take a step back when I hear the stallion getting closer, but perk my ears forward when I see a flash of black and white in the dark green forest.

~Stripes~
I trotted out of the forest and squinted my beady black eyes, for the sun was very bright. I flicked my tail and looked at the mare in front of me. I smiled lightly, realizing we were the same. Well, sorta.

Royal Jewel: I watch with my ears pricked forward as a young zebra stallion, just barely taller then me, trots out of the forest. I snort excitedly and smile the nicker to him, never thinking that I would ever met another zebra.

~Stripes~
I let out a happy nicker and pricked my ears foward. I trotted up to her and touched my nose to hers, taking in her scent. "Your a...your a zebra! Like me!" I grinned.

I smile touching noses with him then do a small rearing grinning "I thought I would never meet another zebra!"

~Stripe~
I smile and look her over. "I've never seen one like you. Your...amazing!" I smiled, my black eyes shining. "I'm just so glad to see another zebra, other than my sister."

Royal Jewel: I smile at him, my unusual blue eyes sparkling like jewels "Thank you, and by the way my name is Royal Jewel but you can just call me Jewel"

~Stripe~
I smiled. "What a beautiful name. You can just call me Stripes, like everyone else tends too."

Royal Jewel: I smile at him and nod "Thank you, Stripes" I perk my ears forward curiously "So what brings you to the Garden of Plenty"

~Stripes~
I flicked my tail and take a step back, admiring Jewel. As I did, I replied her answer my saying, "I'm just looking for a mate, I guess."

Royal Jewel: I smile and flick my tail, once again releasing my scent then nod "So am I"

~Stripes~
I took in her sweet scent and blinked my black eyes. When they opened again, they seemed to have glossed over. I licked my lips and grinned. "Well then. Isn't that funny? We both are! And we are both zebras..."
