A New Jewel Is Born

~Jewel~
I walk out slowly, my light grey body covered in sweat.
My stomach was swolen to over half it's normal size, and every now and then you could see a kick.

I was in labor.
I paced the clearing, gritting my teeth whenever I felt pain near.
I didn't want to foal untill my mate showed up, but waiting was getting harder.
I lifted my tail and lied down. I waited and then stood back up, pacing around again.

i walked in seeing Jewel in pain
*its ok.* i said reashuring her *just push.*
i laid down beside her proping her up so she could push easier

I nodded and lied down next to Teron. My sides heaved and I gritted my teeth at another twang of pain.
I waited and when I felt the pain, I gritted my teeth, clenched my eyes and pushed.

i licked her belly and looked at her sweat face i nodded *u r doing good.* i told her i continued to lick her

The licking relaxed me. It felt good.
I clenched my teeth and gave another push. Two hooves and a nose appeared.

i smile *wonderful!!! i continued to lick her i kept smiling as i licked her

I snort and rest my head against the cold ground. It felt good against my wet fur.
My sides heaved as I felt another pinch of pain and gave a push. The head and neck came out.
I groaned and closed my eyes.

*u r doing great* i said as i nuzzled her neck and sholder *come on just a couple of pushes to go.*

I closed my eyes and snorted. I started to stand up but forced myself back down, knowing if I stood it would kill the foal...but I wanted to stand, to ease the pain.
I clenched my teeth again and gave another push. The shoulders came and the rest of the foal slid out.
Letting out a deep breath, I propped myself up and turned my head to lick the foal. I didn't want to stand yet, for it's hind legs weren't out yet.

i smiled as i stood up. i walked around to the foal and licked her *whats her name?* i asked

I grin and then try to stand. The fillies legs slipped out and I turned to continued licking her.

~Filly~
I cough and take my first breath. I blinked my bright pink eyes and looked up at the horses.

*its ok.* i said to the new filly. i help her stand up by nugging her with my nose. i smiled at my mate *she is as buetyfull as u.* i said licked Jewel as she liked the filly *what do u want to name her?*

~Filly~
I smiled and stared at him.

~Jewel~
I gaze into her pink eyes. "I like Gem."

i look at the baby and nudge her to get up* i lick jewel and smile *thats a wonderful name.* i said i whet behind gem and pushed her to her mom to nurce.

I smile and nuzzle Teron. "Just think...my 'after birth' heat will be coming in only a few days..and maybe if you can do it again, we can have another." she grinned but knew the chances of two in a row was slim. She was glad that at least this one was a filly.

~Gem~
I smiled and began to nurse, flicking my tail happily.

[Hope you like it...she looks almost like her mother except for the white markings that her father has...and I think the mane/tail are darker than her mothers...]

i walked over to her and nuzzled her sholder and said *i'll try.* i walked over to jem and watched her

I flick my tail and nuzzle Gem as she stopped nursing and began to test out her new legs.

I wobble around, falling down every now and then and stumbling back up.

(hey i read on a nother topic that we where adopting a filly or colt named Olive i would love to adopt her/him)
i nuzzled her up trying to help her stand. i look at jewel and say *we should go some were else

I flick my ears back as I hear a nicker from the forest. I grin, knowing it was Talon. I glanced at Teron. "Excuse me...I...have to go get something." I blused slightly and trotted into the forest. I spotted the large grey and white stallion, grinning. "Talon!" Talon nuzzled me and then glanced down. "I need a favor...can you adopt her?" I stared at the pretty filly and nodded. "Yeah...of course, but why?" Talon shook his head. "I have to go..." he nuzzled me again. "Thanks mom!"

I nod and watch him go, then look down at the small filly. "Did he give me your name?" I shrugged and turned, beckoning for the filly to follow back out.

~Gem~
I raised my head higher when my mother walked back out. "What's that?" I asked her, seeing the extra legs toddling after her.

i looked at her and smiled *u didn't just... u did.* i said with a smile on my face. *i love her she is bueityful.*

~Olive~
i walked out from behind the strange mare and saw another filly and a strange stallion. I started to cry but quickly asked *who r u?* with a tear building in my eye

I glance down at Olive and smile warmly. "This, is your new family."

~Gem~
I prance foward. "Hiya!"

i smile *i am Teron ur new father.* i smiled and nuzzled her sholder

~Olive~
i felt his warm cheek and smiled *and who are u?* i asked the mare and the foal

"I am your mother, Jewel." I smile and nudge her.

~Gem~
I rear playfully. "I'm Gem!"

i stand by my mate and look around for trouble but there was none

~Olive~
i look at the mare and ask *may i play with Gem?*

I smile. "You dont' have to ask."

~Gem~
I prance around and then lift my tail, zooming around, a grey and brown blur. "Look at me!" I called out. "WHEEE"
