~Internal Desire~

I gallop in, hooves pounding on the soft dirt silently, black and white wings folded tightly against my back, ready to lift me into the air at any moment. My white mist swirled around my shimmering body, darting between my legs and shooting over my head. My eyes were like deep holes of light as they darted around, yet there was nothing in sight. The night was still, without a star in the sky, and only a full moon casting its wavering light around the meadow I was in. I snorted softly and glanced around, knowing that looks were decieving, and these woods already didn't look very safe.

~Flying High~

I trot in, my golden wings folded against my side. I'm yet young, and understand that the forest can be dangerous, so I am alert at all times. My light brown hooves touch the soft earth in rythm as I float along the surface. I toss my dark brown mane and scan the forest, my bright blue eyes glittering in the short shafts of light that shone through.

I sighed and walked foward. I was alone for my journey. Oh, yes. My journey. I'm trying to start a herd...but these forests are so empty...maybe just maybe I can find someone...

I throw my head up into the air when I hear the new stallion come in. My eyes look him over suspiciously, my mist wringing and slithering around me as my emotions changed and thoughts ran through my mind. I secured walls around my mind, not letting anyone in to know what I was feeling or thinking. I snake my head into the air and snort, my breath rising into the air and disappearing into the night as I breathed deeply, not recognizing his scent. I flick my ears, one forward, one back, listening to everything, and my eyes miss nothing. The wind brushed against my side, swirling my mist around me. The air's tendrils ran through my mane and tail like gentle fingers, seeking as they untangled them. My mane and tail were as light and airy as my mists, and blended in perfectly well with them. As one they waved and swayed in the breeze. They and my darting eyes, fire shining inside of them yet revealing nothing about me as I stood perfectly still, eyes trained on the young stallion before me.

I stop and look at the mare, alarmed.
I take a few steps back and lower my head slightly, holding my wings closer to my sides.

I snort softly, watching him warily.
"Who are you," I say, my voice quiet yet clear as I take a step back.
