Love is like a rollercoaster. Life is like a book, although it may not end happily. In this book, I guess I'm the ugly duckling.
{Persephone, Mare}
Talking aloud to myself as I walk through the thick, lush grass of the meadow, "Why does no stallion find an interest in me? Am I that ugly?" I looked down at my hooves, watching them hit the ground with each step. I sigh and continue, "Is there even a stallion for me? Or will I have to try not to cover myself when I'm in heat, maybe a stallion will come?" I stop instantly, "No, no. Definitely not an option." I look around, seeing if my herd had decided to return, no sight of them, I sigh once more, and let my head fall heavily to the ground with a soft thud.
Persephone, a rather beautiful mare actually, with eyes that change colors depending on her mood, a glossy golden brown coat, and now no herd, or family, is looking for a stallion, or even a companion. She lies in a meadow, surrounded by thick woods, starting with cherry blossoms from her, but then turning into a tall, thick variety of other trees, such as redwoods. She has never wondered past the cherry blossoms, her mother had told her she would get eaten by hungry, dangerous, bloodthirsty, wolves. So, as smart as she is, she didn't go past. Now her herd is disgraced with her and she has nowhere, or anyone to go to.
I stand up and start to walk towards the center of the large, beautiful, flower filled meadow. I arch my elegant, long, slender neck down to smell the flowers as I walk. Feeling the need to get my blood pumping, I pick up to a trot, the wind blowing my mane and tail back behind me. I continued to speed up, wanting to leave my ugly, disgraceful and disappointment of a body. Finally reaching the edge of the meadow, I slow down, I stood looking at the cherry trees, and then start to walk into them. The long branches brush against my side, neck, and legs. I stop at the last of them, staring into the dark, gruesome woods. I take a deep breath, swallow my fear, and take a few steps into the woods. All seemed good, I loosened my muscles a little, and looked up at the rather extravegent treetops. I stop and listen to all the sounds of the new woods. I hear a bird, calling to her chicks, letting them now she's on her way, with food, warmth and love. I listen a little longer and hear a squirrel run by, rustling leaves and carrying a nut, back to his hole in one of the trees. I watch him climb, with grace, elegance, and stealth. I envied the little critter, and whisper, "If only.." My voice fading...

[Blazing Survivor, Stallion]
I stand very still, listening to everything moving around me. The birds chriping above, the sqirrels scurrying on the trees and even the lizards sprinting across the grounf trying to get their food. I suddenly hear something different and I prick my ears forward, my jet black eyes shining when I hear horse hooves. I lift my nose into the air and sniffed. It's a mare. I start walking towards the unknown mare with just sound to figure out where i'm going. I just manage to hear her whisper something as I peer around a tree and see the stunning mare. I suddenly hear growling from behind the mare and my ears flicked back but I still listened carefully, looking behind the mare into some bushes a see a small wolf. My ears now pinned tightly against my skull I leapt out from behind the tree, towards the mare."Move!"I order the mare as the wolf lunged towards her. I just manage to push her away and then kick the wolf square in it's chest. Hearing sickening cracks i watch the wolf as it hit it's back against a tree hard enough to snap it's spine and kill it. I look away with a snort and remember the mare. I looked towards her, pricking my ears forward. I go to take a step towards her and I wince as I put pressure on my back left leg. I peered at my leg and notice that the wolf had just managed to grab hold of my leg before I kicked him. The wolf has ripped flesh, almost deep enough to reach my bone. I snorted and my forlock fell over my jet black eyes as I loked back at the mare.

Unaware of the stallion or the wolf, I stood, amazed by how beautiful the woods was. My mother must not have looked at the wood's true beauty. Suddenly, I feel the presence of someone new, I prick my ears forward, listening, to see if it's a horse or some vicious creature. I silently breath in, trying to inhale the creature's scent and luckily, it's a horse, a stallion actually. I had never been close to a stallion who wasn't part of my herd, or already had a mate. At first, I was very afraid, but something about the stallion made me feel..safe, protected, and no longer alone. His dark eyes were on me, but where then behind me, filled with fear. He lunges his muscular black body forward, pushing me out of the way. I fall to the ground a few feet away and watch as he kicks a small wolf into a tall, strong tree. I shudder and cringe away as I hear the bones crushing; I look back and see the wolf's body, lying lifeless and limp on the forest floor, between the roots of the tree he had hit not long ago. I look over at him, and our eyes lock on each other. I stand up, and watch as he cringes in pain, I look down and see one of his back legs had gotten badly hurt by the wolf. I sigh and think to myself, *wow, I'm out for not even 10 minutes and already something has tried to kill me. Great.* I take a step forward, but don't move any closer, I wasn't sure who this stallion was, so I had no idea if he was forcer or not. I knew the color of my eyes were no longer a beautiful blue, but starting to turn pinkish, a hated the color, what kind of horse had pinkish eyes? I finally manage to break the silence and say, "Thank you for saving my life. My name is Persephone." My voice, much like honey, very sweet.

I prick my ears as I listened to the mare's sweet voice. So her name is Persephone. It's a nice name. It suits her well. I then noticed her eyes had changed colour and I smile softly. It's different, yes. But I like different. I then rest easy, knowing that the mare was kind of like me.. An outsider. Although that isn't something one should feel happy about, I'm kinda glad. I watched the mare for a short whle before deciding to answer the mare. "My name is Blazing Survivor," I tell her, my voice isn't like most stallions - rough and course - mine is kind of... gentle "and your welcome." I then smile gently, and flick my forlock from my eyes. "And don't worry, i'm not a force breeder and I won't hurt you. You can rest easy." I say to her.

I smiled politely, I believed him, but I didn't completely let my guard down. "It's nice to meet you, Blazing Survivor." I liked the way his name felt on my tongue, it seemed to roll off easily. We both had voices different from most mares and stallions, his was gentle, others were rough and coarse. Mine was sweet, others were soft and delicate sounding. This made my smile grow wider, we were both different. I then noticed he had no mate in sight, I sighed and said, "Where's your mate?" A stallion like him had to have a mate already, he was gorgeous.

I flick my tail as I listen to the mare ask where my mate was, I then prick my ears and snort lightly"I do not have one" I reply truthfully"What about yours?". Persephone must have a mate. She seems nice and she is gorgeous. My ears flick back and forth, listening for any sign of danger. So far there isn't any. My back leg hurt but I won't complain. I can get through it.... somehow.

I was surprised, he seemed like mares would be following his every movement, lovestruck. I sigh and reply,"I do not have one either, I never have. This is actually my first time out of the meadow behind me, and I've already almost been attacked by a wolf." and hopefully found someone for me. At the thought, I would have definitely blushed if he could see, my eyes changed again, this time they were a yellowish color, for happiness. I then see him wince slightly and I suddenly remember he was hurt. Without thinking I rushed over to his side, and asked, "Are you ok?" I looked down at his leg, still bleeding, blood actually starting to pool around it. I looked back up into his eyes, mine pink once again, "Here follow me, there is a small pond in the meadow right through here." I started to walk towards the cherry blossom trees, but stopped and turned waiting to walk beside him.

I watch Persephone closely and smile slightly. I then flick my tail, ridding a fly and I slowly followed Persephone. It is hard to walk on my leg. It hurt. But I push on, soon by the mare's side and I look at her. She is gorgeous. It is a surprise that she doesn't have a mate..

I smiled, but soon frowned, I felt bad, I couldn't help ease his pain until we reached the pond. My eyes has turned blue, I then thought of an idea, I put myself right next to Blazing Survivor and said,"You can lean on my side if you'd like." I knew I couldn't support all of his weight, but if he leaned slightly his leg wouldn't hurt as much. I pushed aside branch from one ofthe many large, ravishing cherry blossom trees. Once I pulled it away I couldn't help but gasp, the meadow was absolutly beautiful, flowers covered the lush, green grass and seemed to fade when it reached the pond. The pond rippled and reflected the sun's rays and made the water look like it was sparkling like crystals. A line willow tree also stood looming over the water, it's roots seeming to reach out of the ground towards the water. I looked over at Blazing Survivor, I started walking forward again, leading him to the pond.

{hey sorry... I know it had taken over a year but I sent you a message explaining what happened
Also I won't be as good as RPing n this style anymore as I now do thrid person and past tense so, please excuse my mistakes I may make during this RP now)
I glance at Persephone as she says to lean on her. I don't really want to, but when she presses her body to mine, I am unable to disobey. Leaning some of my weight upon her, though not much, I instantly feel the pain lessen from my back leg. It is awkward receiving help from Persephone, but I just cannot resist her. We make our way through the trees, Persephone helping me the whole way. I wonder if she is just doing it because I helped her, or if she is honestly worried about me. I hope it is the latter, yet, either way, I am grateful to her. Pushing the branches away, I gaze at the meadow. It is gorgeous. I do not think I could find anything wrong with it. It is like it has come from a dream. We step through, into the meadow, straightening myself along the way. Taking my weight from Persephone and back onto my own leg, I wince, though it is hardly noticeable. I cast a glance over to the mare for a moment before walking towards the pond, trying my hardest to stay upright until I get there. Slowly, I make my way to the pond, and as soon as I am just as the edge, I basically collapse into the water. I manage to keep my head above the water line though. Surprisingly, the pond is quite deep, reaching to my shoulders near the mere edges of the pond. I look over at Persephone and smile in thanks. I am truley grateful that she helped me to come here. Though I suspect that she will probably leave shortly. Why would she want to stay here with me? I'm injured and unable to protect her at this time. Not a very worthy stallion if I do say so myself.

(Oh its fine don't worry! I was gone for a really long time too! I haven't been on since november... And I just read through everything to refresh my memory and I'm sorry for all the spelling mistakes! I hate when I do that and never notice!)
{Persephone}
As I walked with the slight weight Blazing Survivor put on me, the tall, lush grass softly brushed against my slender body as we made our way to the pond. My eyes were turning an amber color as I grew concerned over what to do next. I wanted Blazing Survivor to be okay, he was a complete stranger who decided to help me. If he hadn't been there, I could be dead right now. I shuddered at the thought and became intent on getting this stallion to the pond. We came to the edge and I watched as he collapsed into the water. My eyes turned an orange-red color as I grew excited at his happiness, but then I caught something in his eye. It looked like sadness, fear, and hurt. I became weary as my eyes turned green-yellow. So many emotions running through me! I laid beside the water and watched his eyes, hoping he'd meet my gaze. Without realizing what I'd done until after, I subconsciously whispered, "Please don't go." My eyes turned white with frustration and shock at myself.
(Oh and for the eye colors and whatnot I'm gonna go by this chart! http://sheofmermaids.blogspot.com/ )
