A Deadly Walk

Two dragons marched up the mountain, their
heads bent to the cold and wind, their feet
making slow, but syncopated chrunched on
the snow. Even they were almost dying for
cold and famish. Anyother type of creature
would not be able to make it up the mountain.

One dragon was named Floyr. He was a bright
green Amazon Jungle Dragon, who was used
to heat and warmth and good food, so he was
not well off. Ice particles were frozen to his eyelids.

The other dragon was named Canter. She was
a pale blue Artic Frost Dragon, and was doing
a bit better in the bitter cold cilmate than her
companion. She was in front, walking a bit faster
than Floyr, but not enough to lose him.

tala: i walk against the wind half frozen in my wolf form i see to big things but i cant tell what they are in this snow

Floyr could not see another figure moving
silently towards the pair, because his eyes
were crusted shut with snow and icicles.
But Canter did. She saw the shape stalking
to them, tapped Floyr on the arm to get
his attention, and walked over to where
a dog was standing.

tala: i look at them comeing to me too frozen and tired to do anything i watch them come closer

As Canter watched, the dog (or at least she
thought it was a dog) did not move. She feared
it was dead. But as Canter and Floyr got closer,
they saw that she was breathing. Now Canter
was standing in front of the dog, but no words
were bring spoken. Canter thought she had to
say something. "Hello" she said.
"What are you doing here? It is awefully
cold, don't you think. You shouldn't be out
here now".

tala: i look up at them realizing there dragons "hi, i was looking for somthing when this storm came. i've been looking for shelter" i shiver

Floyr look down at the small creature in
the snow and almost laughed out of pity.
But he held back his giggles.

Canter listened to the dog talk. She knew
that almost anyother creature besides a
dragon was on this mountain they would
surely die. Canter had to get the dog to
safety. "I will take you to shelter" she
said. Then she scooped down, and cradled
the dog in her large arms.

tala: to tired to fight i nodded "thanks, im tala" i relax in her arms half asleep

Canter looked down at the small dog, named
Tala, in her arms. She felt Tala relax.

Canter had to find a cave. She looked to Floyr,
who was also almost half asleep, and nudged
him. "We need to find shelter, a cave" she
told him. She started walking again, looking for
any sign of a lump in the snow.

Floyr nodded at Canter's instruction. He followed
Canter in the search for a cave.

tala: i try to stay awake but i close my eyes a drift to sleep

When Canter looked down again at the little bundle
in her arms, she realized that Tala had finally frifted
off to sleep. But, that was a bad thing. If you are cold,
if you have hypothermia, and you fall asleep, you die.
Canter had to get Tala awake again. Still, no cave
was in sight, and Floyr was ignoring her. Canter didn't
no what to do. She tried whispering in Tala's ear.
"Tala" she whispered softly. "Wake up"
she said. "You have to wake up".

tala: i groaned and open my eyes "im up im up" i shiver "theres something you have to know cuz i dont have much strength to keep in this form for much longer, im a human" i look at her waiting to see what she would do

Canter was happy that Tala was awake and
she listened intently when Tala spoke.

Canter was surprised with what Tala said but
she did nothing rash, like drop Tala, she just
kept walking. Canter didn't hate humans like
most dragons did, but Floyr did. She glanced
over nervously at Floyr, but luckily he hadn't
heard the pair, conversing silently.

tala: i look up at her "im a hybrid human, im like part wolf or somthing like that, what will he do?" i say nodding to floyr

Tala had noticed Canter looking nervously at
Floyr. Canter hadn't wanted her to know.
"Oh, honey" she said. "It's really
best if he doesn't know". Canter knew it
would be hard, but she asked, "Do you think
you can stay in your dog form?" She hoped
that Tala could, and that Floyr would never
find out.

tala: i nodded "i'll try and if i change he would kill me right" i look at her

Canter glanced at the fearful Tala. "I
wouldn't say that" she whispered.
"He just gets a little angry at times"
Canter continued. She was trying not
to scare the little Tala. "Just try as
best you can" she added.

tala: i smiled "its ok its not going to scare me, im a wolf remember, courage its like my middle name" i shiver again "but i'll try my best not to change"

Canter laughed and wondered at the little wolf's
courage, but she quickly quieted down from a
look from Floyr. She knew the pup was still
scared, even if she wouldn't admit it.

Floyd was beginning to get suspicios. The wolf
had woken up and was whispering with Canter.
And then the two were whipering and throwing
him weird looks. But Floyr reaclized that he was
jealous that the wolf was getting all the love from
Canter, and he wasn't getting any, only weird
stares and glances. After all, he secretly loved
Canter.

tala: i smiled and shivered i look around loseing feeling in my legs "i gotta walk"

Canter had her doubts about putting Tala down,
but she smiled and bent down, gently releasing
Tala into the fresh layor of snow. "There"
he said. Tala jogged alongside them for a while
now.

tala: i jog beside them the feeling in my legs comeing back i put my head down to the wind

After a while, Canter began to get worried
again, and she look from Floyr to Tala.
They both seemed at ease so she continued
on. The snow had begun to let up, it began
to get more visiable. Soon, Canter could
see a cave. She called out to the others
and entered the cave, the others following.

i walk into the cave and flop down on the ground panting and shivering "thanks"

"Your welcome" Canter replied as
she watched the others enter the cave.
She tired and leaned down, but did not go
to sleep. She watched that Tala or Floyr
didn't either.
