I watched and moved the children out of the den they looked up at me and watched as the earth shook beneath us "Earthquake" she muttered and looked around noticing eh huge amount of blood around them and moved them away for the time being. Evan snarled he wasn't going to win and gave a final snarl before moving back and leaving for the time being.

~Shin~
I picked her up and brought her out with me quickly "They happen every now and then don't worry" I said to her "This cave is stable enough so don't worry, it's naturally formed so it's even more stable than a man made one" I smiled and kissed her gently.

Shane
I slashed at his hind quarters and one of my nails snagged on his fur and I tore a chunk off his thigh. I walked to my family and rested my forehead against my mates stomach, I wanted a hand to stroke my head since I wanted to calm down and when my mate touched me or was near enough to take in her scent it calmed me down.

Sara
I cocked my head to the side, "Shane caused this." I said listening to the earth that whispered things to me. I put my hand in his fur and stroked him softly as I gave his wet nose a kiss and a little bite.

I smiled and ruffled his fur before sitting down and pulling his head closer so he could feel the very small nudges in my stomach smiling a little an stroked his fur "Honestly, you need another bath now mister" i kissed his nose softly.

~Shin~
"Ah I see, well never heard of a lion causing an earthquake" I chuckled. "He must've won his fight then that's for sure" I rested my head beside Sara's stomach and smiled able to feel movement and hugged her happily wagging my tail. "I love you so much can't wait for our pups to come how many do you think they'll be this time?" I asked her excitedly.

Shane
I smiled when I felt the cubs she was carrying. I laid down and butted her shoulder with my head, "Only if you give me one." I said nuzzling her and then the pups as I shut my eyes as I enjoyed her stroking my fur or giving me little kisses. I just enjoyed being with my family. I didn't care that my mates pups weren't mine biologically but that didn't mean that I didn't accept them as my children.

Sara
I smiled and ran my fingers through his hair, "I don't know love, how many do you want?" I asked smiling as I bent down to give his head a kiss as I looked at the sky as the colors bled together before night fall. "Shane isn't just a lion." I said looking down at him happy to be with him even though some times he was just a goofy wolf

"Fine then, these two want to go out hunting for themselves since they're old enough now so I can give you a wash while their doing that" I smiled. They nodded, They'd gotten Shane to teach them since he was still the better hunter out of both, I was a little rusty having spent my time looking after the kids instead so Shane was the one with more experience as well. I lead Shane to where we usually washed off and began to work on getting the blood off of his fur.

"I don't mind as long as you and them are safe and healthy I don't mind how many we have" I smiled and hugged her still rather happy before flickering my ears "Hmm, what do you mean he's not just a lion what else could he be, he looks like one"

Shane
"That feels nice." I said laying down to let her work, it really did feel good for her to work at my fur. I licked her arms when her arm would come close enough to my mouth as I laid there. I closed my eyes and was slowly falling asleep as she worked.

Sara
"Half saber tooth, they should be extinct but I guess one survived to make Shane." I said running my fingers through his hair some more as I saw the stars starting to come out. "It really is beautiful to watch the stars." I said

I smiled and looked to him and eventually finished him of and nudged him before curling up into him and kissing him softly "You're definitely a big cat that's for sure" I laughed and hugged him. "Too laid back to be a wolf" I soon got up and stretched having a quick bath myself and relaxing in the warm water.

~Shin~
I smiled and nodded "Yeah but they will never be as beautiful as you, they only shine brighter because they are jealous of the beauty in my arms right here" I said holding her close so she could lean back on me "Also can you give me a hand with a hair cut tomorrow, my hair is growing a bit long and it's hard to cut it myself" i asked her kissing her cheek softly and keeping her in my arms contently.

"Well you sooth the big old cat." I said nuzzling her once I got on as well. I sat beside her in my human form and enjoyed this. "I love you." I said kissing her and putting my hand lightly on her stomach since the cubs were moving around and i liked the feeling of it.

Sara
"You've never let me cut your hair, why now?" I asked since it had to be more than long hair because he's always had long hair. I kissed his nose and smiled. Such flattery. "What do you want? Your flattering me." I said nodding

"Hmm and how old are you exactly you don't look that old to me" I said and kissed him gently feeling his hands on my stomach and smiled "What is it with males and touching pregnant women's bellies?" I asked joking and little "You like to feel the cubs don't you?" I asked softly and leaned back into him contently.

~Shin~
"Only trimming it, i don't want it cut short" I said to her "and my fringe has grown to long and I can't see past it half the time" I frowned and kissed her a little rubbing her stomach"andI want nothing just the usual kisses and hugs from my sweetheart" I smiled at her happily.

"I'm old, I'll leave it at that." I said keeping my hands on her stomach and rubbing gently as I leaned my head against her's as I gave her cheek a kiss, "Yes I like feeling our cubs. They like you sooth me." I said nuzzling her and taking in her scent as I nipped her chin. "Do you want to go to the beach again with your brother and his mate?" I asked nuzzling her again.

Sara
"What about the soft nips on the nose?" I asked smiling as I tilted my head back since he was behind me. I kissed his jaw and put my hands over his on my stomach as the pups moved around. I liked this when he would be human for a little while. "I can't figure out what I want to plant in the garden." I said as I really didn't know

"Yeah might be an idea, both me and Sara are carrying cubs or pups at the moment so it'll be good for us to go somewhere relaxing during such a time" I said and kissed him gently as he nuzzled me and laughed "Well you still act like a young man for someone who's old and I still thought you would've been taken by someone else even if it wasn't your original mate when I met you. You just seemed to good to be true" I smiled at him "but even though you have your small faults like we all do to me your perfect, wish I'd met you sooner"

~Shin~
"Hmm, how about potatoes, an apple tree or two and maybe some peppers?" I asked her curiously seeing how she'd react "They tend to grow the furthest from the den so might be a good idea to have those close" I nudged her softly "and the nips on the nose are because I love you" I grinned happily.

"Well I wasn't around these parts at the time." I said smiling as I nipped her neck softly as I kept her close to me as I nuzzled her. "When do you think the pups are going to go on their adventure?" I asked putting a hand on her stomach to feel the cubs she was carrying and was curious how many she was going to have. I didn't much like surprises.

Sara
I just shook my head with a smile on my face. "Your a goofy wolf. No wonder your children are goofy." I said putting my hands on my stomach and rubbing since that soothed the pups down and since it was almost bed time for me I wanted to settle them down. "Winter's coming quick." I said looking back at him. "I was thinking more than just potatoes, apples, and peppers since we all know you like apples because it gets you pie." I said laughing some as I gently patted his cheek

"Not long now, they're leaving for good soon but wanted to make sure everything was ok here first" I said softly and smiled looking to him "I don't know how many cubs yet but I can guess defiantly two possible three but not too sure" I said to him and kissed him gently.

~Shin~
"Can you blame me though your apple pies are rather good" I smiled at her happily and picked her up taking her back inside and covering her with warm furs while working on the fire "Ok then, shall i try cooking for you for a change since your ready to pop" I said to her and kissed her softly before I got to work trying to cook her something.

I kissed her lips and hugged her gently. "I love you San." I said nodding. I nuzzled her and carried her deeper into our den and laid her down on the bear furs. "How much longer?" I asked laying down beside her before cooking some meat up and some veggies and handing her a bowl.

Sara
"I can do it love. I'm not disabled but if you want to cook then go ahead." I said laying on my side and watching him as I stroked my finger tips up and down my stomach as I waited for him to finish. "You are such a dork with your apple pie but it's cute." I said smiling

"A few more months at most" I said to him and smiled letting him carry me deeper into the den and smiled "Thanks love" I smiled and settled down eating the food he gave me"

~Shin~
"But it tastes so nice" I whined and kissed her softly handing her some cooked vegetables and meat, it tasted quite good considering it was me cooking and smiled eating beside her. "and I like to look after you makes me feel like I'm good for something"

"Your welcome." I said giving her forehead a kiss and sitting down to eat my share since I ate more than she did surprisingly but I needed to keep my strength up to defend against Evan if he came back. I got angry just thinking about his name. "I should have killed your old mate while I had the chance." I said nodding

Sara
I gave the top of his hand a slap but not overly hard, "You are good for a lot of things. Don't say that, I hate it when people say that about themselves." I said irritated before starting to eat my food as well

"As much as I resent him, he's still the other pups father biologically but he's nothing more but one day they might want to get answers from him as do I some day but not now… so it's best to leave him be for the time being, he's not stupid enough to come here for quite some time" I said and kissed him again.

~Shin~
"Ok Sorry, but I also like to spoil you since you're my precious mate after all" I smiled at her and ate my dinner. "Hmm should we organise a trip before or after the new pups are born?" I asked San having sent a message earlier "San said she'd like to go to the beach with us again soon since her pups are leaving in a few days. "

Shane
I turned my head to the side so she kissed my cheek instead of my lips. I shifted to lion form and ate my food before heading for the stream for something to drink. I laid out of the den for some sunshine since I liked to sunbathe and it felt good on my body. It kept me warm and cozy. I would let my claws out and dig them into the ground.

Sara
"We can go before the pups." I said putting my bowl away and laying back down and curled up under the furs to go to bed. It was late and for once the pups were settled down so I didn't have a lot of kicking. I shut my eyes and fell asleep quickly.

"Cheeky man" I laughed and curled up under the blankets to get a bit of rest myself since I was rather tired and looked to him for a moment before drifting off. I woke up a bit later and found him moving to cuddle up in his fur and smiled a little "Hmm, perfect" I grinned curdling up into his furry chest and mane.

~Shin~
"Hmm ok I'll let her know" I smiled at her and curled around her once she fell asleep and chuckled a little before kissing her head and making sure she was kept warm and ensured she was safe too.

Shane
I put my arm over her as I laid there, I was still mad but I would still take care of my mate. I licked her forehead and shut my eyes again for a nap in the sun where it was warm. My tail flicking this way and that way. I kept my paw on her rounded stomach, it was possession of her and my cubs.

Sara
I pulled up the pelt and turned my face into his fur since his fur was warm. I took his tail and put that over me so I was nice and toasty. During the night I started to go down with something. "Shin, I think I'm sick." I said not feeling all that well and I had a fever. I shook him gently. I was too weak to get some water. "Shin I need water." I said as I was so thirsty. I looked really sick.

I smiled and stayed close to him enjoying the warmth of the setting sun and drifting off once again there beside him, the cubs kicking inside me every now and then against his huge paw as I slept as if letting him know they were there.

~Shin~
I woke up and looked to my mate worried and quickly helped her sit up after getting her a glass of water and stayed there with her worried about her. I didn't sleep that night as I gathered herbs near the den and sniffed them all before trying to remember who to make my mother's medicine but constantly checked on her.

Shane
I felt them and opened my eyes, my pupils got larger as the night began to descend. "I'll protect you cubs." I said gently to them before shifting to human to bring their mother into the den so she'd be warmer as it was getting colder at night. I soon shifted back to lion form and took in the scents of night. I loved to hunt at night, to toy with my prey before lunging in for the kill, to watch the fear in their faces as they know they will die. To hear them trying to gasp for air into their failing lungs.

Sara
The water felt good in my dry mouth and it felt good to go down my sore throat. "Shin." I said leaning against the den wall as I could barely move any of my limbs. I didn't know what I was sick with or how I got it since the meat was cooked and the water was clean. If it wasn't I would have sensed it. I ached all over and it felt like there was a fire inside me and it was trying to burn me alive.

~San~
I was still fast asleep when I was put back inside the den. U woke up later on and noticed he wasn't there so guessed he was out hunting and curled up putting my hands on my stomach and smiled "Don't worry we'll both look after you" I smiled happily before going back to sleep.

~Shin~
I soon gave her the medicine "Here, I've had this before mother gave me this it works and it won't harm the pups either, she also had to have it with her first litter so it should start working soon" I said and put it in my mouth and gave her it that way with some water so she'd defiantly swallow it. I stayed up with her all night keeping close and getting her anything she needed.

I walked back into the den, "Your awake." I said smiling as I had some meat roasting in the fire. I took it off and tore some off to eat hoping she'd eat breakfast but if she didn't I can eat the meat. I put a hand on her stomach to feel the cubs moving about and I smiled, I really wanted to meet them. I just hoped they weren't as rowdy like her pups had been even though i love them as well.

Sara
It tasted bad and I almost puked but I kept it down. I shut my eyes and leaned into his fur since he was warm and maybe his heat would break the fever. I whimpered when I would swallow as it hurt. I felt my water break and I opened my eyes. "Shin, the pups." I said taking the blanket off and the cold air felt good as I pulled up my dress and felt the contractions.

I nodded and sat up taking the meat and eating a little bit but wasn't all that hungry and curled up under the blankets again smiling as i felt his hand on my stomach again "Impatient man aren't you?" I chuckled and kissed him softly.

~Shin~
I moved into position and helped her as best I could keeping her clam and constantly checking she would be ok ensuring both her and the pups would survive since she was sick as well. "It'll be ok, just stay with me and keep pushing" I said softly and moved so she was propped up against the cave wall with furs behind and around her to keep her warm as I got everything else ready.
