Blaze was shocked. Stunned. Horrified. "Then your father was a total asshole. I can't believe I didn't see it before."

"Yeah! He was!!!" A tear slipped from my eye, but I quickly looked away. "Don't tell Juliet I told you!!!"

Blaze gave Lichen a friendly nuzzle, "I won't tell her. I promise Lichen." Blaze said, pulling away. "It's okay to cry. Durnal can be fairly emotional sometimes. I've caught him crying a couple times. His father was his best friend, and our father gave him the necklace Durnal wears." Blaze told him.

Durnal sighed and padded into his den, laying down next to Pelican. He watched Layla by Nakomi's den, wanting her to come out and play a bit. Durnal smiled softly, laying his head down next to Pelican's.

Lichen, growled as Blaze caught him. He didn't say anything back, just looked away.

Blaze just rolled his eyes and smiled, sighing softly. "I won't tell Juliet though." Blaze promised.

Blaze laughed, "Then you haven't seen an angry Pelican, or an angry Layla." Blaze said, nudging him. "Or an angry Bliss."

Lichen had to think hard to remember who these wolves were, then he shook his head,"No I haven't..."

"Layla is that fiery pup with the feathers in her ear. Pelican is Durnal's mate, and Bliss is Layla's sister. Black with red eyes." Blaze explained, seeing the confusion on his face.

"Oh yes... Layla... I meant her a while ago. And I've always avoided Pelican. Bliss though... I've never seen her..."

"Bliss seems harsh in other's eyes. But I know she's a good kid. Both Bliss and Layla are good kids. They are tough as hell, but they both have a soft side. So does Pelican. She just doesn't show it much." Blaze told him.

Lichen laughed,"Yeah, most fae's do have a soft side..." He said sitting down.

"Yeah, but Layla's soft side is hard to get to, and it doesn't last long." Blaze laughed. "Bliss has a soft side, but she's equally as tough as Layla. She just isn't growing up to be an assassin."

Lichen laughed, "Yeah... " Then he looked back to Blaze,"You should get back to your den... Um I'm gonna go away for a few days, tell Lilly I'll be back soon..."

Lilly suddenly felt guilty. She flattened her ears, "W-Why are you leaving?" Lilly asked, holding back a whimper. Lilly could be stubborn and a bit headstrong at times, but at heart she was sensitive and soft.
