Ex-Prince of the oldest Elven tribe/kingdom and only heir to the throne, his refusal to become King cast the society into chaos and eternally marked him a target for their assassins and warriors. Not that Dresden minded, of course. The mage feeds off of disarray and mischief and certainly enjoys a good fight every so often. Cunning and deceitful, you would be rather foolish to actual trust in him unless you had something he gravely desired or needed, which is highly unlikely. Dresden is less than invincible, however. He has many faults and weaknesses, you just have to know where to dig the metaphorical dagger. You would be wise to watch your back afterwards, though, he isn't a forgetful elf and is known to hold grudges for several years or even decades after the misdeed's occurrence.
