(Actually, in one of the short stories I've read some lady who was a vamp drained a guy and killed him accidently. A few hours later she woke up and realized what she had done and then she changed him and it worked. It just also seems weird to me that you would have one of the main characters die.)

I quickly turned my attention to Sammy and pressed my bloody wrist to her lips, hoping she'd smell it and start drinking. I was still holding my other wrist over Megan's mouth.

I smiled down at Sammy before I looked at Megan, searching for any sign of color or life on her face.
