"Call off your troops," Adrian hissed in her ear and squeezed her.

Avery shreiked. "Okay! Okay!" She make a few high pitched clicking noises and the wolves stopped attacking. She made a low cawing noise and the ravens flew up into the trees. "Everybody stop!"

Everybody looked at them. Mercutio stepped forward. "What are you doing?"

Adrian gripped her head. "Don't come any closer or I'll snap her neck," he warned.

"Killing your own kind will not go well with the master," Mercutio clicked his tounge.

"I am not one of you," he growled. "Though my wing are black and my bodyis covered in Hell's tattoos, I will never fall to the darkness that beckons me closer."

Angel peeked out from under her wing and saw the bleeding Carniva. Tears came to her eyes. "Please hold on," she whispered to the Pegasus.

Diablo still laid there,getting up slowly as he took long and heavy breaths. He got up,walking slowly over to the male angel. "You.." he said,his eyes narrowing as his body limped closer.

Choco's invisibility wore off,crying slightly.

[Stormsong]

Mercutio waved his hand an immedaitely, the wolves, ravens, and soldierd disappeared. "Release her and we will give you a three day head start."

Adrian and Mercutio locked eyes with each other for a moment before he shoved Avery to the ground.

Avery scurried across the ground and up to Mercutio. She scrambled onto his stallion. "Let's go Mercutio."

As fast as they came, they were gone. Angel slipped off Choco's back and set Harvy down. She gently took Carniva's head and rested it on her lap. She let her tears slid into the Pegasus's wounds, making them heal. Carniva shuddered.

Diablo stood there for moments,his mind lost in deep thought. Without a word,he limped away as mist covered the land from the demon's presence. His eyes were hidden by his faded blonde forelock. His wings rested loosely along his sides as his hooves thundered the ground with every step.

Choco stood there,his mind bewildered. "Three days.." he repeated over and over. His mind was thinking of a plan. Maybe He would fly them to the heavens,two at a time? But.. Then Adrian. He was a fallen angel. Maybe he could stay behind with him? Yes,a perfect duo.

[Stormsong]

Shadow knew that something felt different but she couldn't quite tell what it was. She looked down at her chest and saw it. The pouch! "The light stone os gone!" she exclaimed before she could stop herself.

Choco lifted his head,completely out of thought. "What stone?!"

Diablo pricked his ears back,stopping in his tracks as his head turned toward Shadow. "I saw it,Adrian I believe has it. Or one of the other black winged beast.." he said before walking off again.

[Stormsong]

Shadow pinned her ears and trotted over to Diablo. She rubbed her head up and down his neck. She knew that she could always turn to him for comfort. "The light stone," she squeaked.

Adrian cocked his head and pulled the rainbow stone from his pocket. "This?"

Diablo looked at the stone,nodding. As Shadow rubbed against him,blood stained her beautiful black coat. Standing in the sunlight,the shine on his coat was far from black,it was now a crimson brightness,his body having cuts everywhere.

[Stormsong]

Shadow backed away when she felt a sticky substance on her face. She looked and saw the blood on all over him. Tears came to her eyes. "Diablo..... I'm.... I'm sorry...... I didn't mean to hurt you."

Adrian pulled the pouch of his pocket and put the stone in it. "What does it do? I can sense the power in it."

Diablo replied coldly "You didn't hurt me. Those fallen beast did." he snorted before looking at the stone. "None of your buisness."

[Stormsong]

Adrian held up the pouch. "You're not getting this back until you tell us what it does," he said stubbornly.

Shadow approached him again and licked at his wounds. She was unconcerned about the Light Stone at the moment.

Diablo walked over to Adrian,smiling at Shadow's caressing. He then raised his hoof high,threatening to stomp the living soul out of Adrian. "No need."

[Stormsong]

Harvy gave a frightened whinny when Diablo raised his hoof and hid in between Choco's legs. Shadow shrunk away and covered her face with her wings. "Please. No more blood."

Adrian stood his ground. His poture told Diablo that he was serious.

Diablo kept at his stance,then threw his hoof down. He brushed the side of Adrian's face,stomping heavily on his foot but careful not to break any bones. He snatched the stone with his bare teeth and trotted away toward Shadow.

Choco laughed,awaiting the reaction.

[Stormsong]

Adrian howled in pain. "Ow! Dammit Diablo! We have a right to know! Those demons just stole Bobby's body away from us! Is that stone part of what they were after?"

Shadow cringed when she heard Adrian hollering. Not another fight. Oh please not another fight.

Angel lifted up and whipped the tears from her eyes. Carniva was all healed but she had passed out during the process. She looked up at the group, her eyes red and puffy.

Diablo laughed at Adrian. "They don't need this. Not in the least! It's for a pegasus's concern,nothing more,nothing less."

[Stormsong]

Adrian crossed his arms over his chest. "Then why go through all the trouble of keeping it a secret?"

Angel went over to Choco and buried her face in his side. She didn't cry though for she used all her tears on Carniva.

Harvy looked up at Choco. "What about the demons? I don't want them to get me."

Diablo looked at Adrian. "Secrets are meant not to be shared,only if you wish. You will have to drill through my thick skull in order for me to tell you so." he snorted.

Choco looked down at the two,nuzzling them both. "Don't worry Harvy,they wont."

[Stormsong]

Shadow opened her wings and angled her head so that Diablo could slip the pouch back over her head.

Angel moved forward and stepped between them. "Stop. No more fighting between the two of you." She looked at Choco. "What do you plan to do? We were almost killed tonight and you and Diablo can't fight them all off."

Diablo reached over to Shadow,placing the bag around her neck softly before turning to Choco. "She's right. Choco! Since I can fly,we can carry two at a time. They can never enter the heavens." he then looked down at Adrian. "As for you,I hope you wont mind my company. We will just have to outrun them." he said.

Choco stepped forward. "No! You can still come up with us Diablo!" he shouted.

Diablo shook his head. "I killed.. I'm never going back to the heavens.." he mumbled.

[Stormsong]

Adrian huffed. "Why don't you take Angel, Harvy, and Shadow up to the heavens, ask for the angel's help, and we fight them together?" he suggested.

Shadow stomped her foot. "I am not going to the heavens to hide."

Diablo shook his head. "No angel ever comes down here unless they are turning into one. It's against the law." he said,looking at Adrian. "You should remember that."

Choco nodded sadly. "Sorry."

[Stormsong]

"Then at least take them to the heavens," he said.

Shadow shook her head. "I'm not going anywhere," she said stubbornly.

Diablo glared st Shadow. "Please,Shadow. Your the only thing that made me come back.." he said,smiling softly.

Choco felt hurt,but also warm hearted. Diablo has a love! He teased inside his mind.

[Stormsong]

Shadow cocked her head. "Really? Why? I'm nothing special...."

Everybody smiled, they all either knew or guessed Diablo's secret. The only one who didn't know was Shadow....... and HArvy of course.
