Chakotay shushed her gently, and sent a glare in Nanuk's direction. Was that fae heartless? He pulled Genocide closer, and smiled over at Nakomi. "I think you better. I'd hate to face his wrath if I didn't let you."

Genocide shoved her face farther into his pelt. Dakota saw the whole thing. He smiled and nuzzled Chakotay. Dakota had held a grudge towards Chakotay for a while. But not now. He was comforting his little sister.

Chakotay looked over at Dakota. "I bet I could beat you two to that rock over there." He motioned towards a boulder at the edge of the trees, and smiled.

"Ready.. Set. GO!!!" Dakota growled, racing forward. He was fast for his age. VERY fast, though his strength beat his speed.

Katniss's silver pelt slightly blew in the breeze as she sniffed around a willow. She was a fragile young fae with a silky silver pelt and beautiful brown eyes, young, the age of one... still a pup. She had been a loner for awhile now, ever since her and her parents were kicked out to die in her pack because her father had angered them. Her parents, unfortunately didn't make it. But she did. And she will. She promised them. The wolf had held her pride and learned how to skillfully hunt rabbits and other things and steal bear's food without them noticing. The blue eyed fae also stole from packs sometimes... it depended. She only tried that once or twice

Durnal~

I saw a fae. A young one. Padding forward, I looked like a giant compared to her. "Greetings, young one. My name is Durnal." I greeted, dipping my head. "What brings you here?" I asked, my coal black pelt bristled as my emerald orbs glistened. I looked down at my red and black beaded necklace and sighed, before lifting my massive head again.

Katniss jumped back slightly when she heard a deep voice. Her head lifted up to meet eyes with a older male, and he was with other wolves. Oh God, did she run into a pack. She sniffed the air. Of course she did. Good going, Katniss She told herself sarcastically. Her brown/yellow orbs moved towards the male wolf. She knew how vicious they could get if you didn't respect. She didn't like holding her guard usually, though she gave a small whine and lowered herself. "I mean no harm," she barked. "I accidentally ran into your territory."

I chuckled and smiled. "Oh, no its fine. For an Alpha, I'm easy-going." I told her, dipping my head. My enormous and muscular body must have frightened her. "So sorry if I scared you." I apologized, flickering my ears.

He needed to understand, easy-going wasn't always good, but she had to remind herself... it was good for her. She let out a small whine of relief and brought herself onto her haunches, letting her tongue loll out the side of her mouth before finally answering again. "Y-You didn't scare me." she said, though it sounded like a lie the way she was stammering. "I just didn't want to offend you is all. So I was showing you I was no harm."

"Hey, if you want you may come and eat. There's much food at the den." I told her, looking back at the camp. "I've got pups there." I added, as Dakota, the oldest biggest and strongest pup came along. "Hello Dad- And hello." He said, scanning Katniss.

(Dakota is about 6 or 7 months. How old is Katniss? One, 1 and a half?)

Katniss was delighted, a little, that they bothered to invite her. She gave a wolfy grin and nodded slightly. Of course she wasn't planning on staying, maybe a little to gather her strength since she wasn't as lucky finding food for the last couple of days. It was time to drop her indepedence for now, she was only one (hint hint on her age. Lol) As another wolf joined, she tried not to shift uncomfortably. She'd have to get used to this for these few days. "Hello," she said, trying not to have her voice be flat, but friendly. "I'm Katniss."

"Name's Dakota." He replied smoothly, walking with her to the den. When we got there, I gave Katniss 2 fish and a rabbit. "Hope you like it." I said to her, watching Dakota. Dakota was her size.

Katniss leaned down and sniffed at the fish. She had only had fish like, three times in her life ever. She wasn't much of a fisher, but her mom always was. "Thank you," she murmured, her warm milky brown irises looking thankfully up towards Durnal before she lowered her head to take a bite of the fish. She realized how rude she'd been to Dakota, and after she finished, she swallowed. "Nice to meet ya, Dakota."

Chakotay laughed, bounding after him and purposely staying a pace behind. Before they could even finish, Dakota had left. Chakotay whimpered, and returned to Genocide. "When a pretty fae comes around, all brutes are the same, aren't they?" He watched Dakota carefully, and sighed.

The handsome Dakota smiled. "Nice to meet you to." He replied, nodding his head. I smiled. "If you'd like you may join the pack." I offered, being friendly. "Can she?" Dakota asked, his muscular frame shuddering.

Genocide laughed. "Yeah, I know. I just don't know anyone that'd be nice for me." Genocide replied.

Chakotay chuckled. "Genocide, you're beautiful and you know it. I mean, look at your mother, if she wasn't mated, and if I wasn't, for that matter, then I'd be drooling over her like Dakota is over that fae. But Pelican chose well. And so did I." Chakotay glances over the Durnal, and yawned.

Genocide smiled up at Chakotay, and pressed herself onto his side. "Thank you, Chakotay." She whispered. "I'm glad you are in the pack." Genocide added sweetly.

"I am to, kiddo. Wanna learn how to climb a tree? Because you are extra special, I'll teach you." He whispered, looking around as if it were really a secret. "Then you can scare your brothers, too." He added mischievously.

"Ha I already know how! My dad showed me." Genocide replied. She nuzzled Chakotay's chest, not being quite his height.

"Show me then. I bet there is some stuff he didn't teach you." Chakotay challenged, grinning. He bounded over to a tree, hopping up onto the lowest branch and watched her. "Come on then. This is a pretty high branch."

Genocide wriggled her behind before leaping up beside him. "See?" She growled playfully. Genocide searched his eyes with her own blue-green, and smiled. "Nakomi is lucky to have you." She told him.

Chakotay laughed. "Not as lucky as I am to have her. That wolf lit up my world." The brute sighed, tiltin until he lost his balance at landed with a thud next to Durnql.

Oh my god, Chakotay are you OK?" Durnal asked. "Chakotay!" Genocide cried, running to his aid. She whined and licked his ear. "Are you OK?" She asked.
