Dream looked at Oliver as he acted out his father. "That's not right at all." She turned her head and looked to crest before looking back to Oliver. She gave a small sigh and lowered herself to the ground and looked at the two foals.

Crest eyes the mare and Oliver wearily. "Where did you come from?" she asked the mare.

"No. It isn't." He agreed, sticking close to her side as she lay down. "I will probably never see her again, unless he kills her for not raising a foal properly, then I get to see her body..."

Dream looked to crest "I come from a place far from here." She looked down to the colt who was note laying beside her. "You should think posotivly(sp?) Who knows you may see her again some day." She let out a sigh and nibbled in some grass that was beside her.

Crest took a step closer to Dream and Oliver. The instinct to have a mother was rising inside her. she took cautious steps towards her until she stood only a few feet away.

Dream shifted her ears forward when crest started walking towards her and Oliver. She lifted her head up and looked at her for a moment before stretching her neck out and nuzzling her softly before looking to Oliver again.

Crest squeaked and jumped away when the mare nuzzled her. She faced Dream with a look of surprise on her face.

Oliver looked at Dream with his sad brown eyes. "After I escaped, I saw four horses, way bigger than even her surrounding her. There is no hope. All he has to do is return me to the herd, and punish us both." Oliver sighed, and stepped closer to Crest, nuzzling her gently.

Dream looked at the filly and chuckled a bit "Have you never been nuzzled before?" She looked at crests surprised face and awaited and answer.

Crest nibbled Oliver's mane to try and comfort him before she answered. "Not by a stranger," she said shyly and swished her fluffy tail.

Dream looked at crest and smiled "When. Still had a herd it was our way of welcoming some one new." She bent her head and began to nibble on the grass beside her.

"Really?" Crest looked confused. She hesitated before she trotted up to Dream and nuzzled her. She leapt away. "There, now what?"

Oliver licked Crest's back, removing a bit of excess dust before he spoke again. He chuckled when she offered a nuzzle, jumping away soon after. "She won't hurt you crest. I promise."

Crest looked over at him. "And how do you know that? How do you know that she won't drag you back to the very herd that you are running away from?"

Dream looked at crest "I'm not the one to put others into harms way." She stood up and shook out any twigs out of her mane. She looked at Oliver then crest before sighing "I could tell how bad that herd was from his voice."

Crest shook out her pelt even though she wasn't laying on the ground. a loud crash of thunder broke the silence in the sky making Crest jumped. She pinned her ears and ran behind the nearest tree. Her body was shaking and the whites of her eyes were showing.

Dream looked over at crest as she ran behind a tree. She walked over to her and nuzzled her a bit "Your fine there's just a storm coming in." She looked over at Oliver "Do you know where there are any large caves?"

Crest nuzzled up close to the mare. She shuddered in fear. This wasn't her first thunderstorm she had been in but it scared her everytime she heard the crack of thunder or saw a flash of lightning. A lightning bolt lit up the sky and Crest buried her face and Dream's side and let out a distressed whinny.

Dream leaned her head down to crest and nuzzled her before laying down. She felt like she did with her foal that just passed a few hours ago. She looked up to the sky as she felt a few drops of water land on her. She snorted before shaking her mane out then standing up and walking under a ledge and laying back down. She looked at crest and snickered a bit before giving a low whicker.

Crest hesitated to follow her but another crack of lightning quickly made her change her mind. She galloped over to where dream had taken shelter and huddled up next to her.

Dream watched her gallop over when another crack of thunder rolled through the sky "You'll be fine." She nuzzled her and sighed softly and wrapped her neck around her.

Dream nibbled on her small mane and groomed her as well trying to calm her. She looked to the sky again and watched as the rain began to pour.

Crest nickered softly and nuzzled Dream again. She yawned and scooched a little closer. With a contented sigh, she fell asleep.

Dream Sighed when crest fell asleep and reaped her neck around her before calling fast asleep also.
