"Just wondering" she said to him as he met her gaze breifly before he turned his attention to the water adn smiled a little at the trout. "Let's get going, hopefully we'll be abck by night fall" she said quite tired already but didn't want to say anything being a little stubborn and she was determined to get back home before the night came. 2Wait is that even possible where exactly are we and how far away?" she asked no realising how far they really were from home.

Andrew shook his head at her comment. "We are quite a distance from your home. I skirted the foothills so by the time we got back, he wouldn't be there."

(Again.... I fail..)

"Well let's at least find some shelter for the night since it said it would be raining adn I don't think either of want to be caught in the rain" she said bluntly to him wanting to get moving whiel they still had dry weather adn sunlight "Coem on, we should get moving, closer we get home the further away that creature is" she said shivering a little at the thought. she let him take the lead not knowing which way to go and looked to the sky a little seeing the sunlight fading slowly.

Andrew shrugged at her comment, but didn't object. He stepped ahead of her on the 'trail' and helped to clear the way for her. Andrew walked his fastest but the brush slowed them down quite a bit. He didn't mind. The longer they took, the less likely that thing would be still hanging around at Calla's home. He slowed when began to recognize the landscape. His eyes searched and eventually found the small entrance he was hoping for. He motioned for her to follow and he ducked into a dry cave-like den. "Will this work?" He asked her, his voice reverberating off he walls.

She nodded "yeah it's fine, anything is fine really" she said smiling hearing faint echo's as she spoke and walked in ducking a little herself in order to walk in "Maybe a small fire though jsut to keep warm for the night" she nodded heading out before the rain came adn grabbed a bunch of twigs from the forest floor and made a mslal cmap fire hugging her knees uptp her chest to keep herself warm beside it. She wanted to ask another questio but thought maybe another time and stayed quite settled beside the warm fire sicne she didn't have the choice of turning into a wolf with thick wamr fur like he did.

Andrew remained in his human form As he helped with the fire. He was actually really surproed when it lit because of the dampening air. He settled down across the fire across from her and then watched the orange flames.

She smiled a little at the dancing flames before hse decided to ask ehr question "How come everytime I get in toruble your always there to help me out or you always appear out of nowhere and help?"she asked him quite curious of how he would answer that question and also wondered why he didn't jsut change into a wolf to keep himself warm keeping ehr palms facing the fire to keep them warm.

Andrew tucked his feet in an watched the sparks as they hissed and popped over the sappy logs. He listened to their question, and took a moment to think about it. He shrugged slightly in the darkness. "You know... I don't know. Right time right place I guess..." He said and flashed a playful smile. His one blue and one brown eye glowing against the orange tint from the fire.

She laughed shaking her head "hmm possibly" she said and smiled a little "Hopefully we should get back tomorrow and I'm going to make myself a feast tomorrow when I get back" she said quite hungry after traveling so much and partly because she had missed her dinner

Andrew nodded and tucked his legs close to him. His eyes lowered to the edge of the fire. “Oh!”He exclaimed at her comment and stood up. “I’ll be right back” He said, and changed into his wolf form as he leaped from the cave. Silence overtook the cave site as he loped across the trees with ease. He moved efficiently in his canine form. He slowed when his nose picked up on a group of three or four deer, and he crouched near the clearing. His breath slowed and he targeted a wounded doe. Just then, a young fawn bleated wildly at the sight of him. Cursing under his breath, Andrew lunged out at the group. They scattered, and Andrew took a moment to gather his bearings. His eyes trailed the field and found a buck struggling to free his antlers from the branches. He launched himself in the buck’s direction, and the animal freed himself moments before the attack. He kicked back at Andrew, but a paw swept his hind legs out from under him. A cry filled the air but ended abruptly as Andrew clamped his jaws around the throat of the animal. It thrashed and threw its body as it tried to break free, but he could feel the life ebbing from its muscles. Andrew dragged the carcass back to the camp and set it down outside. He changed to his human forms and wiped his hands on his jeans. “There” He said as he gathered his breath. He used a sharp rock to cut two large steaks from the side of the animal, and he walked into the old cave. He leaned down and set them onto a rock that was near the flames. It sizzled, and Andrew sat back. “Dinner is served” He said, grinning.

Calla raised an eyebrow when he suddenly stood up sort of wondering what he was up to before he changed into his wolf form. When he was out she muttered to herself "You don't have to go hunting I could've waited" she said and closed her eyes breifly drifting off a little and jerked looking up when he appeared walking into the cave "You didn't have to go hunting, I could've waited" she said to him softly "But thank you... again" she spoke very softly since she was a little tired but she was quite hungry as well and could smell the meat cooking on the rock. she found some twigs and a sharp stone stripping the bark and then used that to flip the meat over once one side was cooked and then settled herself once mroe jsut waited for it to finish cooking as the flames dance "So how are you anyway?" she asked him "and be honest..." she was still a little concerned over what had happened a while ago.

Andrew waved away her words. "No, you need to eat. We have a hike tomorrow and you need it" He said, and returned to his seat. He watched as she flipped the steaks and his stomach churned at the scent. He didn't eat cooked meat very often, but it was just as good as raw. He returned his gaze to her when she asked him how he was. His heart seemed to roll over inside his chest. He shook his head and messed with a hole in his jeans. "Fine, I guess. It's been hard but we manage" He said, his voice very quiet and soft. He looked outside and sighed under his breath.

When they were ready she moved them away from the fire careful not to burn her fingers although she managed to burn one somehow and sucked on it frowning a little before she let him take his keepign the smaller one for herself and ebgna eating when it was cooled down enough for her. "In otherwords not so good" she said "Look, time will heal any wounds you jsut need to let it ok anyway you have others you can talk to as well" she said which was something she didn't ahve when she needed it most times.

Andrew thankfully took the steak and ripped a piece from it. He popped the savory chunk into his mouth and chewed it. The naturally grease from the fat balancing the meat's tough strands. He stood up when she started to talk about everything, and he moved to the opening of the cave. He leaned back against the rock and took another bite of the steak. He shook his head. "I don't need that, I'll make due" He said stubbornly, forcing himself to shove all those feelings of sorrow and confusion to the dungeon of his mind.

She shook her head and finsihed her meal off thanking him again for bringing the steak before she curled up near the fire to keep warm as she slept quietly not saying anything else but goodnight before she headed to sleep

He looked back at her as she wished him a goodnight. His eyes glazed with tears that he refused to let spill over his cheeks. He turned back to the opening and watched as the diurnal creatures were replaced by the nocturnal ones. He sighed and finished off his steak.

She sighed seeing his eyes before she headed to sleep adn after seconds got up and sat oposite him "never good to keep things in" she said softly putting a hand on his cheeky gently seeing the glazed eyes. he looked like he woudl cry at any second and she felt that maybe she should'nt have brought it up at all. She moved her hand away from his cheek.

Andrew's skin tingled at her touch, and he closed his eyes. He hated feeling so weak, and she now new that he was weak. He grimaced and looked over at her. His eyes were clear now and he forced a smile. "It's alright" He said, balling his hands into fists before releasing them.

She looked to him frowning a little knowing that was a lie but lef tit alone she pecked his cheek goodnight before she headed back to the fire adn went to sleep until the morning came. She did not stirr much at all jsut wanting to sleep having curled tightly into a ball over the night as it ahd gotten colder during that short time.

Andrew sighed at her kiss and watched as she went to sleep. Shortly after he laid himself down and fell asleep. He was awake before the sun the next morning, and he stirred the fire into life. He cut the rest of the meat and cooked it on the fire as he waited for her to wake up.

She awakened and looked up a little remembering everything and sat ehrself up stretching "Monring, ahve a nice sleep" she asked him as she rustled her hair noticing eh was cooking again although personally would've preffered to have jstu get going althought eh scent of it made her quite hungry again and waited pateintly taking ehr peice once it was cooked.

Andrew smiled when she stirred and sat up. He handed her a piece that was already cooked and finished the rest of the steaks. He kept one out and put the rest in a small bag he had made out of yucca fibers.

She looked to the bag "did you even sleep?" she asked him and stood up waiting until eh was done before she kicked the fire out and began wiating for him to take the lead the way back home since she really did jsut want to go home now and have a ncie mug of hot coco to calm ehr down a little. SHe followed him as he took the lead careful not to trip over nay roots or stuff that was int eh way fo the path they took.

Andrew grinned and nodded. "I always wake up before the sunrise, but I do sleep" He said and shrugged the bag onto his back. He took the lead, and headed in a loop back towards the house.
