Andrew's breath came quickly as he bounded through the trees, his large body snapped the twigs that hung low. His white body gleamed brightly, breaking all the rules about how dirty his coat should be. His left eye, was golden, and his right was the coldest shade of blue it turn Arabia into an Arctic Tundra. Andrew blew sharply from his nose, then took in a deep breath. His lungs burned, and his heart ached but he kept moving. His lean muscles rippled like angry waves under his white coat. The glossy ivory was accented by golden designs that spiraled up his paws and criss-crossed down his spine. Eventually, he slowed into a light gallop and then to an abrupt halt. His claws dug into the loose dirt of a well-worn trail. He forced his breathing to slow, and his pulse began to normalize itself. He was huge, his shoulders meeting those of a grown man's and his paws the size of his hands. The black mask that surrounded his face accented the bold coloring of his eyes. Behind the mask, a white ribbon with gold and blue Celtic knot work flew like a flag. He turned at the sound of an approaching human, and he took refuge behind a thicket of blueberry bushes. His mouth watered with anticipation for the warm, pulsing crimson blood that would soon coat his mouth.

[Soul Hunter]

Calla was doing her nightly jog when all of this happened carrying her water bottle wearing her usual jogging gear, she stopped just in front of the bush unaware of him completely taking a breath as she kneeled down the tie up her laces. Her dark brown hair was tied up and icy blue eyes looked around her. “So quiet” she said and stood up brushing a bit of stray hair back. She heard something and turned her gaze towards it instantly getting a little nervous “Who’s there?” she asked looking roughly in his direction at the noise she heard but receiving no answer she guessed it was her imagination before she continued her jog. Again she stopped hearing something in the bushes “Look, I can hear you, so stop palying with me” she said convinced someone or something was there.

His lips curled up in a ghastly grin as she frantically called out for her pursuer. He crawled out from the thicket and crouched behind her as she slowed to a stop for the second time. "I know you're there" Andrew's voice cracked at its low octave. His eyes glinting in the moonlight. He mocked her, as she spoke to him. He snarled loudly, the sound echoing from his mask adding a hissing sound to his already bone-chilling snarl. "Hello dear" He said, his voice smooth and rich now, but still very deep. It sounded like a growl as it echoed through the forest. He slinked forward, his eyes locking onto hers. "What a lovely evening... isn't it" He said, making small talk. His mother taught him not to play with his food, but it simply too hard for Andrew to resist.

She heard her voice echoing, or what she thought was but realised it was a lot deeper than her voice and called out again before hearing a snarl that made a shiver go down her spine. When she did spot him when he walked out she looked to him quite shocked to hear a voice coming from a wolf; she watched every move he made cautiously backing up a step. “Yes it is” she said as his eyes locked with hers she was still cautious, partly because it was very strange to begin with. She had headphone around her neck and looked to him still. She tensed a little when everything kicked in. “Wait you’re a wolf, why are you talking?” she asked putting a hand on her head her eyes still locked with his.

Andrew shook his head slightly. This woman thought he was a normal wolf... Yea... One that was basically the same height as her. He trained his eyes on her every move, and flexed the muscles of his forepaws, his veins flowing with anticipation and need. He pinned his ears back against his skull and rolled his shoulder blades. They glided silently beneath his skin and coat. "Are you afraid?" He asked, moving to circle behind her. He returned to her front, and his tail twitched much in the same way a cat's would when they were stalking their prey. His smirk increased, and his ivory white fangs shown against his dark gums. Her scent teased Andrew, and made his stomach tighten, waiting for her warm flesh to slice between his canines like a knife through butter.

She shook her head, she had mostly thought she was just dreaming but soon snapped out of that when she heard him talking again. “Ok, definitely not my imagination” she muttered to herself and watched him this time she did feel fear. Tensing up greatly she wanted to make a run for it. “And if I say yes?” she asked watching every move and following as he circled her especially as that smirk of his widened. She tensed and backed up from him ending up against a tree as she watched him, every single move made her tense up more frozen with fear “What do you want?” she asked him.

He backed her into the tree and reared onto his hind legs. His forepaws were on either side of her neck now and his muzzle was close to hers. "You" He said, as he answered her question. Andrew's mouth watered as he took in her scent. He closed his eyes and drowned in the pureness of it. Her flesh was warm, and he could hear the pulsing of her heartbeat. He let out a snarl that vibrated his chest, and he placed his maw around her neck gently, as if to test how to kill her. His teeth pushed against her tender skin, and broke it only slightly. The warm and rich liquid touched his tongue and he let out a small groan. "Yes... You are what I want" He said, his voice barely above a whisper. As he spoke, his mouth didn't move. It was as though he was thinking out loud. He pulled his mouth away from her neck and licked along the teeth marks to gather up the blood that had begun to slip down her neck.

She looked to his forepaws turning her head a little. She watched as his mouth water her heart racing from how scared she was at this moment. She frozen holding her breath almost when he placed his maw around her neck and felt his teeth pushing against her skin wincing a little she closed her eyes thinking this was her death, her breath picking up a little. She opened her eyes a bit when his mouth didn’t move and no more pressure was added wondering what was going on before she felt him licking the blood from her neck. She saw an opening and ducked when he pulled away for only a second and ducked under his forepaws to move away holding a hand on the marks on her neck to try and stop the bleeding. She looked to him watching ready to run this time.

Andrew let his body collide with the ground, his weight causing the ground to shift slightly. He grinned at her, her hand clasped around the wound. "Run, my darling" He said, dragging out the final word with his dark voice. Andrew's breath hissed through the mask, and he stepped a golden paw towards her. "You can't hide" He said, his voice low and barely audible. His eyes were bright and locked onto hers. He could see the terror in them, and Andrew let his smile fade. He took a steadying breath. "You will think you got away..." He started, pacing left and right across the path as he watched his feet push the dirt beneath them. "But you'll see me, you'll know it's me, but you'll tell yourself it can't be" He continued and stopped, he was close to her again. "You just wait" He ended, his voice snapping and his jaws clicking together. The sound was wretched, like the sound of rattling bones or the crack of lightning.

She held her breath when she heard the snapping of jaws close to where she was hiding, trying not to make a sound to give away where she was, having to take a breaht after so long she took one and triedto breaht shallowly so he would have at least less of a chance to find her. Shecould still hear his voice, he was edging closer she could feel it but she could also hear those jaws that sounded as if he was cracking bones in his mouth making her body shiver. She tried moving back a little in her hiding place without making any noise. She slowly backed up once mroe this time making sure she didn't back into anything hoping he wouldn't hear her or that he had left. Anything, she just wanted to go home forget all of this and escape from him.

Andrew grinned. He loved this sort of a chase. The exhilaration and pride he got when it was over. His ears swiveled to a sound of shuffling feet, and he leaped over the bush. He collided with her shoulders and pinned her to the ground. "Gotcha" He smirked, then bounded off her. He waited for her to run.

She gave a scream of shock when he bounded onto her shoulders pinning her and looked almost confused when he bounded off her, was she just some toy? but she wasn't going to let such a chance to escape get away from her. She sprinted as far away from him as she could decided that if she kept moving he wouldn't find her... hopefully. She tried to keep moving but she could only keep this up for so long and after some time she became exhusted and hid herself once more her body wanting to gasp for her but her mind not letting it as she tried to stay hidden from him, trying to hid her breaht and anything about her as she closed her eyes taking in what in her midn felt like her last few breaths.

He smirked at her confusion, and watched as she sprinted away. Andrew threw his massive head back and howled loud to the large white moon that was watching the scene unfold. The song was long, and mournful. It was eerie though, and that alone was enough to make the mournful tone unnoticeable. Andrew turned and sprinted in the direction she had run in. He slowed and smelled the ground. His mouth instantly filled with saliva, and he shook his massive body. "Ready or not, hear I come!" He called out, mocking the child's game and grinning with anticipation. He stalked around, looking for any sign of the woman.

She started to gasp for air not able to help it any longer before she stayed hiding triyng to keep herself alive and quite btu she needed to breath, her mind and heart both racing as she strived desperatly to survive this ordeal. She then thought to move only to end end up running into him and falling back looking at him with complete terror as she did and felt like she should just give up at this point clearly not going to be able to escape from him at all. She sighed "Fine take what you want, I don't give a damn any more" she said bitterly

Andrew smirked, and licked the blood from her neck again, the pleasure unbearable. The woman had submitted before him and he enjoyed the sound of how labored her breathing was. He looked up into the night, and found the dawn nearing. "Shit" He murmured, and looked back down at the woman. "Consider yourself lucky" He grumbled, and ran abruptly into the cover of the night. He felt the change approaching already, and he managed to get far from the woman. He turned back into his human self, and stood from the crouched position. He was angry that he hadn't gotten the meal he expected but wasn't going to give up. He ran his fingers through his messed up hair and adjusted his shirt before running back towards the trail. He moved over to the woman and crouched beside her. "Are you okay?!" He asked, faking surprise. "Here" He said, offering his hand to her. "I'll help you back to town..." He started and observed the wound. His stomach burned, remembering the taste of her. "What happened?" He said as he let her lean against him.

She gave a sigh of relief when he left just staying there trying to get all of this through her head making sure nothing was a dream once more although the bleeding on her neck proved it wasn’t a dream at all. She looked up hearing a voice “I have no idea” she said “and I don’t live in the town I live quite close to the forest hence why I jog here” she muttered as she leaned against him a little still trying to get the wound to stop bleeding “Umm do you have any plasters one you?” she asked him, at least then she could stop the worse parts from bleeding. She headed back to her house with him; it was just outside the boarders of the forest and the nearest town. She had inherited it from her great uncle who had passed away, eh liked this area and she used to come here when she was younger and wonder the forest but never before had she had that sort of thing happen. She hesitated so much to tell him “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you” she said, she gave a yawn. She had to get some sleep. She thanked him a little for taking her back home. She sighed and had a snack before she tried to sleep.

Andrew nodded, and pulled his shirt off his head after he steadied her against a tree branch. He was muscular, and had a nice tan. It wasn't one of the fake tans though, it was one that showed he spent several hours of the day outside. He ripped part of the soft fabric and handed it to her before slipping it back on. The left sleeve was missing, so he did the same with the other sleeve to even things out. "There" Jason said, helping her tie it around the wound.

She blushed a little "uhh, thanks" she said to him when he helped her wrap the peice of fabric around her wound. When she got back home she turned to him thanking him once mroe qith a quick peck on the cheek "Thanks again, woudl you like to come in, for a drink maybe or something to eat since it's quite early morning and I ahve to make myself some breakfast anyway" she said to him trying to repay the favor and he had ruined a perfectly good top because of her as well so she felt as though she owed him one. "Umm, what's your name?" she asked "I'm Calla"

Jason shrugged before stepping inside with her. "Sure" He said and flashed a polite smile. He flinched sightly when she kissed him, but relaxed when he knew it wasn't a threat. He hesitated when she asked him her name. "Beautiful name" He said, and after a few seconds he responded. "I'm Jason" He said, convincing himself it couldn't hurt to give her his name. The house was cool and refreshing, and smelled clean. He rarely 'relaxed' inside buildings, but he found this house much more welcoming than those in town. "Nice house" He said.

She looked ot Andrew and put some breakfast on grabbing a few plates and some glasses before she brought him a glass of jucie over smiling "Thanks, used to be my great uncles,he left it too me so I took it, better than the houses in the city" she said "plus it's only a 30 minute walk away so nothing too far awya but also not too close to the city either, also the air is a lot cleaner here" she said to him nodding. She finsihedthe breakfast and handed him his before she sat down to ear hers. "Why did you flinch earlier?" she asked curiously.

Andrew nodded a thanks before taking a piece of bacon and chewing it. He swallowed, and then nodded to her words. "It is a lot fresher out here, it's stuffy in town" He said and wiped his hands on his jeans. "Oh that" He said with a slight chuckle. Andrew took another bite before answering her, to give him some time to think. He ended up avoiding the question. His mind wandered and he suddenly remembered a man who looked similar to him. "Did your uncle ever do studies relating to the forest? You know, like keep journals?"

"yeah, alot fo studies, I kept his journals, there are a lot of strange things in there, wodner if he ever recorded anything on what I saw last night, never know, he said there were strange things in that forest such as werewolve,s pixies, nymphs... all sorts of creatures that reside in certain areas, hmm I really shoudl check up on the map he drew about the territories in it too" she said trailing off in thought.. A picture of her uncle was on the top of the fireplace, it was an old fashoined house as well. But it was full of character at least. She soon felt the tirdness sinking in and blined to keep ehrself awake "can't beilive I stayed up most of the night, I should've slept later"she muttered

Andrew tensed and nodded curtly. He left his food practically untouched. "Thanks for the meal, I hope I'll see you around?" He said in a sort of question before heading towards the door. He hid a smirk, of course she would see him around... He would be sure of it. Andrew's hand touched the handle of the door and he turned. "Just be careful, somethings are better unknown when it comes to the forest" Andrew's voice was lower and cautioning. He was frightened that if she read those journals, she might learn things that could endanger his life and the other creatures of the forest.

She nodded "yeah I know already" she said and went to have a nap before she did check up on the journals her great uncle only did sketches and of them nothing much more than that, she foudn what she was looking for but looked to it "hmm strange" she muttered. However, nothing stopped her next early morning jog at all taking the usual route which menat she apssed exactly thesame area as before, but this tiem she was cautious and didn't stop just getting through it as quickly as she could.

Andrew snorted as he left the home. She knew... She knew nothing. He thought to himself, changing instantly and darting into the cover of the forest. His eyes both brown and blue as he weaved through the trees like a master. Andrew's paws sought traction on the loose dirt beneath him, and he slid to a stop. He stalked over to the edge of a lake and sat silently down. His breath was silent to others but the mask turned the sound on him and it was loud. A young mermaid, around 19 or so, sat gracefully on the water's edge. Her slim tail disturbed the water as she ran her fingers through her waist-long wavy green hair. Andrew thought the creatures were beautiful, but they were terribly mean and hated almost every land-dwelling being. With a smirk, Andrew snarled. The sound reverberated throughout the small clearing and with menacing return of a growl the creature faced him directly, fearlessly wrinkling her smooth face into a snarl before she leaped into the protection of the water.
