"Mommy…Mommy get up!…Im hungry" Groaning Andi nuzzled her face more into the pillow "Mommy! Get up" The voice came again with a shove on her shoulder. " Im up I'm up" She grumbled and yawned sitting up and blinking sleepily and looked down at the curly dirty blond haired little girl that was looking at her with a stubborn look in her sea green eyes a mix of Andi's bright green eyes and her daddy's eyes…Don't think about that She warned herself and yawned looking down at her pushing curly brown hair out of her face. "Alright food, lets go get some lunch" Getting to her feet she stretched and yawned again as Britt took her hand "Come on Mommy, you had a nap you should be awake!" She said pulling on her hand trying to get her into the kitchen faster. "Im walking Im walking" She said laughing letting the little five year old pull her into the kitchen.
The kitchen walls were half painted a cheery pale yellow, plastic covered the hard wood floors while cabinets, windows, door frames were lines with blue tape. Half the counter tops were covered in tools, paint brushes, old yogurt containers with dried paint along the rims a couple paint cans staked on top of each other next to a cabinet. The hard wood floors still needed to be sanded down and stained again then wax and sealed, then the counters needed to be replaced and a lot of other things needed to happen to the kitchen, and that was just the kitchen, the whole house was a fix me up that needed some serious help. The house was an old Victorian style, it was bigger then what both Andi and Britt were used too but it had been cheaper then a smaller house, and it had a big back yard for Britt so she had gotten it. And was now trying to balance fixing up the house, work and being a mom to her little girl that always seemed to be in trouble or getting into trouble.
Letting go of her hand Britt pulled open the frig and looked in before looking back at Andi "Can we have grilled cheese?" She asked "Yeah grilled cheese sounds great" Reaching over the little girl she grabbed the sliced cheese and the butter, set it on the counter then moved over to the bread box only to groan and hand her head "What what?" The little girl asked pushing a chair over to the counter and climbing onto it too see what was in the bread box. "Were out of bread baby girl, looks like a trip to the store is in order" Then lunch!" Britt added happily climbing off the chair and running out of the kitchen into the living room " I got your purse!" She called out getting a chuckle and small smile from Andi "Alright lets go" Walking to the door she took her purse from Britt and smiled at her "Thanks sweetie" Opening the door she walked out to the old car with Britt, got her buckled in then slid into the drivers seat and started it up. Pulling out of the driveway she headed too the store while Britt asked questions, most of them having to do with Andi's past.
Andi grew up in the sleepy little town, until she was seventeen and her parents packed everything up and moved, well thats when Andi found out she was pregnant, her parents freaked out on her and they kicked her out of their house. Andi had done fine on her own, had some friends that helped her out, but she had missed her real home so she and Britt moved back. The little girl thought it was just awesome that they were loving in the country where her mommy grew up. Then again Britt didn't know the history behind how she came about or what her dad did to Andi. Shaking her head Andi swallowed hard forcing herself to keep it together as Britt babbled on. Pulling into the parking lot she found a spot, parked and slung her purse over one shoulder so it rested on the opposite hip and got Britt out. "Come on lets go get some bread" She said holding onto the girls hand as they walked in already making a list of things they needed, they were already at the store so why not get it now? Britt went right on babbling as Andi set her in a cart and started walking through the store to get everything they needed. Dressed in ripped jeans that had paint on them with a old band shirt, hair thrown up into a messy bun with stray hairs falling into her face, she was pretty sure she wasn't hot or looking very attractive at the moment not that she really cared. Pushing the cart she half listened to Britt nodding and saying something every now and then as she put some random things into the cart.
Andi was around 5'4 with a smaller frame, she had sorta had a hourglass shape, with curly dark brown hair that went almost to the middle of her back, bright green eyes a couple scares here and there. Britteny was a fearless outgoing five year old with curly dirty blond hair that went past her shoulders, she had sea green eyes, that were more blue at times then green and the other way around, she reminded Andi of her dad all the time, yet she saw herself in the little girl too, which she found weird. They had been dating for years when Andi found him cheating on her with the one girl she thought he'd never be with. She didn't even have a chance to really talk to him before her parents moved the rest went down hill from there. Shaking her head she looked down at Britt "Hmmmm? What baby?" She asked getting a dramatic sigh from the little girl "Can we get some ice cream for lunch then have the grilled cheese later?" She asked looking up at her with a puppy pout, it normally didn't work with Andi but she had to laugh and nod "Sure, we'll get ice cream" She ruffled the girls hair and smiled grabbing a box of noddles and setting it on the cart.

Well, it was certain. Promises to yourself dont always stay true. The promise to never visit this place again was already shattered into pieces, and it was inevitable that any other connected to it would soon be broken. With one, came the rest of them. Alec hated himself for coming back here. It brought back too many memories, ones that consisted of things he would have himself forget. But it didn't work that way. Once this sort of thing was done, it would haunt the person for the rest of their life. The only way to get out of the torment would be to adress the situation: something that Alec was not planning on ever doing. He was happy where he was, happy with his life... except for the heavy, painful guilt that hung over his conciousness day in and day out. A few times he had tried to contact her, but as soon as she had answered her familiar voice made him slam his phone closed in an instant. Her voice.. it was terrible. It was the one thing that triggered a flow of emotions that couldn't be stopped. Thus the reason he no longer tried. Forgetting was something he was good at, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to leave these memories behind.
He saw her.. standing benieth the willow tree, gazing back towards him with her wide green eyes. They were filled with sparkling silver tears, the sun sinking over the horizon and casting beautiful shades of pink and orange onto the open canvass of the sky. The water behind her sparkled and shone, tiny waves lapping against the sandy shore. Her hand rested on her pronounced belly, silently begging him to stay. She wanted him; she needed him. She couldn't do this without him. And yet, he had turned and started to leave.
That was the last time he had seen her. And now she haunted his dreams; and would, forever.
Alec awoke with a start, his head snapping up and eyes opening in a flash. It wasn't to his surprise he had dreamed about her once again. Looking down at his arms, the young man spotted a thin sheen of cold, nervous sweat coating his skin. If he could have taken back his actions, he would have. But now it was too late. Pushing the thought out of his mind, Alec smacked his forehead with the palm of his hand and flopped back down onto the bed. That, along with the recent death of his mother wasn't doing anything to calm him down. Unfortunatly, that very thing was the reason he was here; to attend her funeral. This was the closest he had ever been to his hometown, and was afraid of being recognized. Alec's heart was pounding feircly, his breath short as he forced himself to calm down. Beside him, a lump under the covers stirred, moaning slightly with sleep and moving closer to him.
"Babe? Are you alright?"
A hand reached out, before it was followed by a groggy looking Claire. She brushed a few blonde strands of hair out of her eyes, before pulling herself up in bed to match Alec's posture. She massaged his shoulder, trying to loosten his tense muscles. Alec grunted in reply. It wasn't right to worry her this way, and for her sake he forced himself to lie back down. The motel room was hot, which only added to his discomfort. Claire leaned over him, kissing his lips gently before slipping down beside him. Her arms wrapped around him and her head lie on his chest. Eyes closing, she murmured something softly before drifting back into sleep. Alec watched her for a few moments, noting her peaceful stance before forcing himself to calm down. He owed it to her. She was his second chance.
When morning finally came, Claire was already up and applying her make-up across the room. She greeted him with a fresh smile, looking bright and ready for the day- quite unlike Alec. "Morning baby." He staggered into the bathroom, wincing as he eyed his face in the mirror. A few days of uncured stubble grew from his chin, he had dark circles below his eyes and he looked worn out. His mop of blonde hair was unruley and falling in every angle, and his once bright green eyes looked dull. A shower would do him good. Once he finally felt refreshed, Alec dried himself off and got dressed. He looked much better then before, quickly shaving to finish up. After a short conversation with Claire, it was determined that they had to stop and get food. The young man departed from the motel with twenty dollars and a kiss on the cheek.
When he reached the grocery store, Alec tried to avoid people the best he could. It was too much of a risk that he would be recognized from before: and automaticly given the tital he felt terrible about. Ignoring the cautious looks from the people shopping along with him, Alec strode as quickly as he could to the isle he needed and picked out a few items. Suddenly, a child's voice caught his attention. It was bubbly and filled with life, a new beginning to the world. Intriqued, Alec turned around to see where it was coming from.
Then, he froze.
(aha.. it would be better but I didn't want to keep you waiting for much longer. Rough draft.)

Britt went on babbling pointing things out asking if she could have this or that, most the time Andi told her 'no' gently but once in a while she gave in and when Britt pointed to to a box of gold fish Andi nodded and grabbed a box handing in too her. "Hold on too this for me" "Ok!" She chimed happy holding onto the box, Britt was sitting in the cart amongst the food, she wasn't too big for sitting in the front, since she wasn't as big as most five year olds but she refused to sit there, saying she wasn't a baby anymore. Andi didn't care and would just wet things in there while Britt happily rode in the cart. Looking over the breads nibbling on her lip a voice broke through "Mommy?" "Hmm?" "Can I have some of the gold fish now? Before my ice cream?" She asked, turning to look at her andi nodded "Sure baby" Leaning over she opened the box and kissed the top of her head "There you go" "Thank you" Now eating her gold fish Britt was more quiet as Andi picked out some bread and added it too the cart. "Alright got the bread...Now I think we need more lunch meat..." Pushing the cart she nibbled on her lip looking over the lunch meat, why was everything so much? Now Andi was a pro as stretching a dollar but still she only could stretch a dollar out so much before it broke.
Sighing she grabbed a couple packages, placed them in the cart with a slight frown green eyes filled with some worry. Britt looked up at her all smiles, dirty blond princess curls framing her face, because she didn't like her hair up. Smiling she leaned up holding a couple gold fish in her hand "Here you go mommy" That got a smile to Andi's face, leave it too her baby girl to cheer her up. Leaning down she took the gold fish and smiled chewing and swallowing "Thank you baby" "Welcome" Smiling feeling better Andi looked down at her "Alright lets get checked out then get some ice cream, Britt cheered happily still munching on her gold fish.
Turning the cart around Andi looked up and almost collided with another cart "Sorry" She rushed out but her eyes weren't on that other person, no her eyes were on a young man, with a mop of unruly blond hair ,green eyes only a couple shades brighter then hers. "Alec...." She breathed out the name. Time had done him well, his muscle was more defined, a little taller, his shoulders were still broad, chest a wall of muscle. Andi's heart caught in her throat, eyes slightly wider, lips parted a little she was unable to breath or speak for a moment just looked at him, like she was seeing a ghost, someone that died to her long ago was know standing mere feet away from her. "Mommy? Mommy was wrong?" That sweet worried sounding voice snapped Andi out of it. Shaking her head she looked down at her little girl. "Nothings wrong sweetie" She smiled for her little girl and ruffled her curls before letting her gaze look back to Alec, she kept that smile on her lips, like she wasn't struggling to stay above water and like everything was fine and dandy. "Alec, it's been a while..." Britt looked over at him with a bright smile "Hi! Im Britt, want some gold fish?" She asked offering him a handful, watching this Andi's heart squeezed as her breath caught. Britt loved making new friends, fear of strangers wasn't in the little girl.
A wall of emotions and memories tried to flood over Andi but she flat out refused to give into them, digging her heels into the ground refusing to give in, she had shoved them all down when she was still a girl herself struggling to understand and becoming a mother. Swallowing hard she looked at Alec trying to keep her eyes clear and emotionless before looking down at Britt and smiling "I don't think he wants any goldfish sweetie" Britt just shrugged and munched on them happily not knowing Alec was her dad or what was going on between the two young people looking at each other like the other one was a murdered going to jump you at any given second. Swallowing again Andi opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.
After years of knowing just what she wanted to say too him, her mind went blank, heart breaking all over again as it slammed into her chest trying to break out, the urge to flee was strong, yet her feet refused to listen to her panicked brain or heart. Apparently her mouth and legs had a different idea, like just stare at the man mouth slightly open like a fish so you look like a complete fool while your daughter happily ate gold fish not having a care in the world.
(Are you kidding me? That was great. Sorry it's not that great. Do you even think or worry that your post is too long? Like you get the mus and it just happens then you look at it like 'crap thats a lot.' Yeah I know weird but I get that all the time, then I have to remind myself to calm down, ppl like longer posts more of the time......Wow Im babbling again...>.< Apparently its just one of those nights.)
