You don't see many short black cocktail dresses in walmarts, every one in a while you'd find on hanging up for hardly ever did you see someone walking through the store in one. Pushing a cart Blair let out a breath, still in the short black dress she wore earlier, she had traded the heels for a pair of grey uggs as she walked though walmart. Golden brown hair was up in a messy bun, some stray strands of hair falling into and around her face, stormy grey eyes looked tired and wary. The 22 year old stood around 5'4, she had was people called a hourglass shape but her curves weren't anything big. It was almost two in the morning, most of the people in walmart now were the weird guys and yet the young girl was still getting looks from people, she just smiled small at them as she walked by. She had been grabbed, groped and treated like a slut for most of the night and now she just wanted some comfort food.

Walking to the food part of the store she let out a breath glancing down in her cart, she had already gotten some more foundation and cover up, to hid the bruises or marks on her face or body. Getting to the freeze isle she let out a breath tossing a couple bags of frozen chicken nuggets into the cart along with fries and a couple other things, making her way down she stopped at the Ben&Jerry ice cream and grabbed a couple tubs of cherry Garcia. Nibbling on her bottom lip she made her way down the isles tossing something into her cart every now and then, bag of chips, the jumbo bag of skittles and a couple boxes of fruit snacks. Finely she made her way to the check out, putting stuff on the counter Blair smiled small at the guy behind the counter that was checking her out and nibbled on her bottom lip wishing she could just go home, finely she paid for every thing and was walking outside pushing her cart full of plastic bags, fishing her keys out of her clutch bag she unlocked her car and put everything in the back seat. With a sigh she sank into the drivers seat and tried to start the car, it made a sputtering sound then nothing. With a groan Blair looked down at her car "No! Come on baby not tonight" Trying again she got the same response. Groaning the girls forehead went against the steering wheel, frustrated tears burned the back of her eyes as she sat in her car in the almost empty parking lot of walmart at two in the morning.

Well today was like any other day. Wake up with a killer head ache, try to remember the night before, see the girl next to you in bed, grunt and curse as you begin to remember. It was like this every single day for Mitchell. But he chose this. It's not what he had planned for or even wanted but after Sarah died...

His fist slammed onto the counter as he pushed away the memories. "Babe that you?" Came a sweet yet groggy voice from his bedroom. He splashed water on his face and leaned down, his hands on the back of his head, not replying to her question. There were quiet footsteps and then a hand slide up his bare back to the base of his hair where the fingers played around with tufts of it. "Hey baby, I had a great night." The blonde said with a half-drunken, sexy voice. Mitchell breathed deeply, stood up, and smirked. "I did too, sweetheart." She stood on her tippy-toes and gave him a deep kiss on the lips. He was the one to pull back. "I gotta go into town. Get dressed and then let yourself out, maid will be here in an hour to clean up." He passed her and headed into the very messy living room. Clothing and unmentionables were strewed all over the place. Without a second glance, Mitchell went into his bedroom and closed the door.

-15 minutes later-

After changing into some clean clothes, Mitchell had headed into town. He stopped first at the grocery store to grab some coffee grains and milk. As he walked through the aisles he kept spotting the same chick. She was pretty, but seemed...closed. Men kept looking at her with lust and it made him boil. He chose to be the way he was, but with the way these men were looking at her they wouldn't give her a choice if they had the chance. And so after grabbing his two items he found himself following her, out of sight but close enough to be able to aid her if the need arose.

They both checked out, she before him. As he left and started heading to his truck, he saw the same girl in her car. Just sitting there and...crying? He tossed his groceries in the passenger seat and, after locking his truck, walked over. With a half-smile on his face, Mitchell walked to the driver's side and knocked on the window. "Need a hand?" If it was car trouble...well she had the right man to help.

Forehead against the steering wheel Blair groaned again as frustrated tears burned the back of her eyes as she sat in her car, who was she going to call? Her dad? No she couldn't call him, he would just he mad at her and tell her this was all her fault, and he could be with one of his 'friends' Who else would she call? She couldn't think of one friend that would come pick her up at two in the morning. Sighing a couple tears slid down her face, sniffling she wiped them away eyes closed. "Great....What am I going to do?" She mumbled only to jump when someone knocked on the window.

Jerking her head up Blair looked at the guy that was looking at her through the window and swallowed hard looking at him, she bit down on her bottom lip unsure what to say for a moment. She didn't like the look on his face, it wasn't as scary as her fathers but it still wasn't a good look. Swallowing again she opened her mouth to speak and rolled the window down a crack. " Yeah, uh my car won't start" She managed to get the words out looking at him with out her voice shaking. Wiping her eyes again, she let out a breath slightly tense. Her cheek hurt a little and she just wanted to go home curl up on the couch and watch Doctor Who, but no her car wouldn't start and now she was stuck in the walmart parking lot at two in the morning. Sighing she looked at the guy on the other side of the window still nibbling on her bottom lip.

Mitchell looked at the hood of the car as she spoke and then looked back when she finished. He couldn't help but notice how pretty she was. Even her biting her lip added to the attractive appearance. But she looked nervous and so he decided not to do any flirting. Motioning to the car, he looked her in the eyes. "May I?" Then he walked to the hood of the car, not waiting for permission. He was anxious to get his hands back in an engine. It had been so long. Again memories flooded his mind and he struggled to keep them back.

With a rough pull he got the hood up and locked it open. "Let's see here." Immediately he saw the problem. He peered around the side of the hood as he asked, "Ma'am when was the last time you changed the oil in your car? This stuff is corroded all over the place." With a chuckle he leaned forward and swiped off some oil on his finger. All the while he muttered to himself. "I got some extra oil in the truck but all this crap around the carburetor...it'll need either a good cleaning or a new one completely." After a few more moments examining the rest to make sure nothing else was wrong, Mitchell made his way back to the window. "Well your carburetor has got gritty shit all over it and your oil needs changing. Easy fixings. Your lucky." He couldn't help but wink. He told himself he wouldn't flirt but it was in his nature, besides a pretty girl like her probably already had a man. It was hard to see any defining features on her however through the window glass. "I'm a mechanic if you want me to fix it, but you'd have to come to my place. I could tow ya if you like. If not I understand. Stan's Motor Shop is right down the road."

Glancing down at her phone then back at the guy Blair gave a small nod popping the hood for him, when he asked if he could look at the engine. But from the looks on his face, she doubted he would have waited for her to answer him, or stopped if she had said no. Blair rolled down the window just a little more and sat up more in her seat trying to see what he was saying or to watch him, not that she really could see with the hood up. Nibbling on her bottom lip she shrugged when he asked how long it had been since she had gotten the oil changed. "Ummm I don't remember" She told him. Blair wasn't good with cars, Tony did everything with her car when he was home, he finely did teach her how to change a tie thou, but that was about it.

Nibbling on her bottom lip Blair sat there waiting for him to finish, her ears strained to hear what he was talking about but she couldn't understand him, and even if she could hear him she doubted she would understand what he was talking about. She jumped slightly when he walked back to the window and looked up at him with a slight confused frown. "So is that a good thing or a bad thing?" She asked ignoring the wink he gave her and swallowed as he talked, he said he could fix it for her, but she had to go over to his place, that he could tow her if she wanted or she could drive. " It won't start...But you'd fix my car this early in the morning?" She looked up at him through the window still nibbling on her bottom lip, a bad habit she started when she was little, he didn't seem like someone that would hurt her, sure he had this dark feeling about him but it wasn't a scary Im going to beat you up type it was different. "And I have groceries.." She add "Well if junk and frozen junk food counted as groceries..." She trailed off was he really going to help her? She couldn't see his face really well through the window in the light from the pole above them.

Mitchell laughed with amusement as it was clear this girl knew nothing about cars. "Well it's bad that your car isn't working but the problem is easily fixable, so from my point of view it's good." He flashed a friendly smile. Her face was more visible now that the window was down and he could help but notice how pretty she was. No doubt she caught a lot of attention from the male gender.

Focusing his attention back to the situation at hand, he gave a nod and glanced back at the hood of the car. "Sweet thing just needs a good oil change." He patted the car right in front of the windshield and smiled as he looked back at the young woman. "Of course I'll help. If you like I can run back home real quick and grab my trailer. Then I'll take your car back to my place, you can relax, and I'll have your car up and running in less than an hour. You can temporarily store your groceries in the frig in my garage, just a few frozen pizzas and beer." Again he laughed and ran a hand through his hair. "I don't cook."

For a moment, he glanced back at his truck. ~I wonder if she'll trust me enough to go to a stranger's place...~ He doubted it, but he really wanted to help the girl, she looked so distraught. When he turned back he kept the kind smirk on his face. "So what's it gonna be?"

Blushing lightly when he laughed at her Blair looked up at him listening to his explain that it was easy to fix, how she didn't have a clue but he seemed to know what he was doing with cars. Nibbling on her bottom lip again she looked up at him, she watched him pat the hood of the car, Blair held back the roll of her eyes, as he smiled down at the car then looking back at her. So he was a car person just like her brother, who tried again and again to teach her about cars but she just didn't understand. Heck she was lucky that she new what kind of car she had, which was a Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

Nibbling on her bottom lip she listened to him again surprised that he really was going to help her just like that, that was something she wasn't used too. He said he would run back to his house get his trailer then come back for her car, it would be fixed in under a hour ans that she could put all her stuff in the frig he had at his garage. She gave a faint smile at the last part and hearing him laugh, it wasn't a scary laugh at all nothing like her dads or the men she'd been around. Swallowing she let out a breath looking around the empty parking lot again, she didn't want to be alone any longer then she had to be.

Taking a chance she looked up at him again "Alright....thanks, but can...can I come with you? I don't want to be stuck here alone anymore then I have to be" Looking up at him Blair pushed stray hair out of her face grabbed her phone tossed it into her purse and opened the car door keys in hand. Getting out she looked up at him still nibbling on her bottom lip.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?) Empty Re: Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?)

Post by Blueroanie Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:23 am

Mitchell remained silent as she obviously contemplated his offer. He knew it would be dangerous for a female, an attractive one such as herself, to be alone with a young man. But he honestly meant no harm. He just wanted to show an act of kindness for a young woman in need of it. Maybe if someone had been with Sarah...

For a moment his smile flickered as he thought of his beloved fiance, but as the young woman slid out of her car he put on his friendly face again. He could drink away his sorrow tonight when she had driven home. This one looked more fragile, he couldn't break her and wouldn't.

When she was out in the light his smile became genuine. The way she was nibbling on her bottom lip made her look childish and cute, rather than the sexy and hot that he was used to in most girls. It was a nice, clean, refreshing change for once. But he saw fear in her eyes and realized she didn't want to be left alone even if it meant being with him in his truck. "Uhh...yea sure I don't mind the company." Instinctively, he looked around to make sure no one threateningly was around. When he was with women, he became protective of them not letting any harm come to them. It was his way of trying to balance out Sarah's death, though he doubted the wound would ever heal.

Slowly he made his way to his truck and, after unlocking the passenger seat, opened up the door for her. "Jump on in. Hope you don't mind Nickelback." He chuckled and walked over to the driver's side, hoping in as well.

Rounding the car she grabbed the couple bags she had then closed the door locking in then tossed the keys into her purse then looked up at him still nibbling on her bottom lip but gave him a faint smile when he smiled more at her. Letting out a breath Blair glanced around the empty parking lot with a faint shutter then back at him, the top of her head just came to his shoulders, her grey eyes still looked wary and had a little fear in them but she was grateful that he was helping her. Smiling a little more when he said she could come with him Blair fallowed him to his truck.

Blair gave him a small smile when he opened the door for her, seeing the bags on the floor she climbed in and let out a breath sitting down. "no, I love their stuff" She told him moving the bags a little around her feet, wishing she was in more then the short little dress, it was getting colder out this late, and she felt under dressed sitting in this guys truck while he was fully dressed and she was barley dressed. After she buckled up she looked back him " Oh Im Blair by the way" She felt silly that she hadn't told him her name before had.

Post by Blueroanie Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:47 am

He saw her shiver before getting into his truck and figured she was just cold. So after she was comfortable he reached into the back compartment and pulled a warm, navy blue blanket into the front seat. "Here. No need to catch a cold." Again he couldn't resist winking and then started the engine. As the truck purred smoothly on, his cd player did so as well. When We Stand Together was blaring loudly from his sub-woofers and bass. He quickly turned it down, not wanting to blow out the young woman's ears. "Sorry bout that." Then he laughed when she introduced herself. "How stupid of me." Frustrated with himself, he ran a hand through his hair still slightly laughing. "You can call me Maverick."

And with that he pulled out of the parking lot and headed home.

Once they pulled into his driveway, he stepped out and opened his garage door by entering the code. By now Caitlyn, the woman he had slept with last night, was gone and he was thankful. She was so clingy. "You can chill out in the house if you like. There's some coffee on the counter or soda and beer in the fridge. Help yourself. I also have some left over cheese pizza if your hungry." He stepped out of the garage and to the truck. "Or you can come with when I go to tow your car, it's up to you. I don't mind either way."

Blair looked at the blanket surprised when he placed it in her lap, and gave him a small smile in thanks. She wasn't sure to people being nice with out wanting something in return but it was kinda nice. Curling up under the blanket she let out a soft sigh warming up, NickleBack blasted from the speakers but he quickly turned them down before she could tell him it was alright, she loved NickleBack and didn't mind it blasting "It's fine" Looking out the window she looked back over at him and smiled faintly and nodded when he gave her his name, or she though it was his name.

Looking out the window nibbling on her bottom lip again Blair watched him silently jump out of the truck and open the garage door by a code pad, figuring she was supposed to get out Blair got out leaving the blanket on the seat and looked from the house back to Maverick, it had been a long day and night and she really wanted to just get out of the dress and sleep but she didn't want to be alone either. "This is pushing my luck I know but can I barrow some sweat pants and a shirt? I'll give them right back, and can I come with you too? I could help, I mean I know I know nothing about cars but I could hold something or something" She rushed out looking at him hugging herself now, all her stuff still in his truck. Blair didn't want to be alone and Maverick like he didn't mind her company, biting down on her bottom lip she looked at him, getting cold again but waiting for his answer.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?) Empty Re: Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?)

Post by Blueroanie Sat Feb 25, 2012 5:39 am

Mitchell scratched the back of his head, acting as if he was contemplating what she had asked though he already knew the answer. "It's alright. But be warned, my clothes aren't all that sylish." It was almost a joke because the way he was dressed now was as attractive as you could get. He was very wealthy, the house spoke for this. "Come on in, I'll grab you something from my bedroom." Again he was glad Caitlyn was gone, it would have gotten majorly awkward if she showed up.

As he entered the house and walked down the main hall to his bedroom he called out to Blair. "So what brought you to the grocery store at 2 in the morning?" He wasn't prying just trying to start some conversation. If he was to be around her for another hour or so, he at least wanted to be on friendly terms with her. A minute later he came back with a pair of grey sweatpants that were obviously too big for her and a baggy maroon red hoodie. He handed her the clothes and pointed to a door that was on the right side of the hall. "There's the bathroom for you to change."

Then he walked to the kitchen and for a moment leaned up against the sink. His shoulders were huge and muscular but right now drooped as he took a deep breathe. "Why can I not get over you? It's been two years Sarah. By now we would have had a kid..." Most of his friends had ditched him once he turned all sour and became an alcoholic as well as started smoking. However the girls stampeded for him because he also was after sex, a way to temporarily fill in the empty hole. He was going about taking care of his problem the wrong way.

With a deep exhale he stood up straight again and ran a hand through his hair. "Get it together Mitchell." All his equipment was already in the bed of his truck and so he went outside to start to hook up the trailer. 15 minutes later the trailer was hooked up and he sat in the driver's seat, ready to go.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?) Empty Re: Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?)

Post by LoveOnHerArms Sat Feb 25, 2012 3:36 pm

Hugging herself biting down on her bottom lip Blair looked at Maverick waiting for his answer, when he finely gave her one she let out a breath and smiled small at him "Thats fine with me" He was lying through his teeth and she knew it, the jeans he had on were in all the fashion must magazines. Nodding she hurried after him into his house and looked around walking after him.

Looking around the living room Blair nibbled on her bottom lip again, walking around slowly but not touching anything, you could tell he lived alone, from the over stuffed couch with large pillows scattered around here and there and even a on the floor, a coffee table but it had some rings on it, scattered with magazines most of them she noticed were car ones. Looking down the hall she shrugged "It had been a long day and night, I wanted some ice cream and junk food" She told him looking around the place, the kitchen seemed to be off to the left. "How about you?" She asked looking at him and taking the clothes "Thank you so much" She gave him a real full smile for a second and nodded "Got it thanks again" Walking into the bathroom she closed the door and let out a breath looking at herself in the mirror.

Kicking off her uggs she wiggled out of the dress and laid it on the counter, slipping into the sweatpants she chuckled looking down at herself, you could fit two of her in them, but she didn't care they were pants, she had to roll them up several times at the waist so they would stay up and she wouldn't kill herself tripping over them. Looking back at herself Blair made a face, she wanted the layer of make up off, frowning slightly she opened the cabinet under the sink looking for some kind of face wash, finely she found some and smiled to herself. After quickly scrubbing her face she sighed tilting her head to the side, the bruise on her cheek was faint and didn't hurt as much anymore. Pulling on the hoodie she pushed up the sleeves and put her hair up into a messy bun again, stray hairs falling into and around her face.

Grabbing the dress and tugging on her uggs Blair walked out and looked around "Maverick?" She called out then figured he was already out in the truck, balling up the dress she walked back out to the truck feeling a lot better face clean and now covered and warm, thou the sweatpants still looked huge on her and the hoodie was longer then her dress had been. Climbing back in she shoved the dress into a back and let out a breath "Sorry I didn't mean to take so long. It took me a little while to roll up the sweats"

Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?) Empty Re: Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?)

Post by Blueroanie Sat Feb 25, 2012 4:03 pm

Mitchell didn't have to wait long in the truck. In only a few minutes, Blair was walking out looking like a gangster wannabe. As she hopped into the truck he was still chuckling and had a look of pure amusement on his face. "Not a probably." He took one last look at her before starting the truck. He noticed the lack of makeup and decided it was a nice change. Every girl that stayed with him had layers and layers of makeup along with extremely expensive clothing. But with the way Blair looked, she looked rather cute and adorable. He hid all of his thoughts behind a smile so that she didn't get uncomfortable. Then he pulled out of the driveway and headed back to the grocery.

Upon arriving, Maverick backed the truck up so that the trailer was only a few feet away from her car. "Were going to bring it back to my place and fix it there." It was for safety reasons. He didn't trust this part of town especially with an attractive girl in his company. A lot of creepy men lived nearby. He stepped out and made sure he had his combat knife in his back right pocket. "You can help if you like." He slammed the front seat door closed and walked back to the trailer. "I need you to get in your car and steer it up the ramp as I push." It was a small car and Mitchell was positive he could push it. But when it got to the ramp he'd need to use some chains and rope.

Before he did anything else, he grabbed his t-shirt and pulled it over his head. Once it was off he tossed it into the bed of his truck. He knew he was gonna get sweaty and he liked allowing his chest to breathe. This part of his body, other than both his heads (pardon the crude humor), was one of the most attractive parts of him. He had an amazing six-pack that was to die for. But he didn't flaunt it.

Rather he just walked to the back of her car and looked around the front. "Ready?" When she gave him the okay, he braced himself against the car and put all his strength into moving it.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?) Empty Re: Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?)

Post by LoveOnHerArms Sat Feb 25, 2012 4:26 pm

Buckling up Blair blushed at the chuckle and amused look on his face on how the clothes looked on her, well she was short and had a small frame and he was well he was tall with broad shoulders, so his clothes being huge on her wasn't a surprise. Letting out a breath she leaned against the door looking out the window thinking playing with the strings of the hoodie, happy to be warm and in comfortable clothes. That and well she felt safer then she had in a while with a stranger that she had just met.

Sitting up when they pulled back into the parking lot, Blair twisted in her seat watching as he backed up the trailer and nodded "Ok" Looking out the window around the parking lot she looked back over at him "Yeah I'll help" She jumped out, dug into her purse and grabbed her keys before closing the door and looking over at him listening. "You sure you can push it by yourself?" She asked unlocking the door and opening it "I can help push" She offered looking at him, wanting to do something besides steer. He didn't answer just pulled his shirt off and tossed it into the bed of the truck. Swallowing Blair scanned over his bare chest quickly before ducking her head and sliding into the drivers seat with a light bush on her cheeks. Now he had a body to die for.

Looking at him in the review mirror she nodded "Ready" Holding onto the steering wheel Blair watched steering a little as he pushed her car to the ramp of the trailer, glancing back at him every now and then Blair sat up more in the seat.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?) Empty Re: Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Open, Mature?)

A think film of sweat began forming on his chest, back, and face as he slowly pushed the car inch by inch towards the trailer. A few times he paused to take a break and wipe some sweat from around his eyes. But in 5 minutes the car was at the base of the trailer and he stayed there for a moment catching his breathe. "Thank god I work out." He muttered before stepped around the car and to the front. It was tiring but he had done it and he felt a sense of pride. But he kept back any gloating, figuring it wouldn't appeal to her.

Instead he stepped to the bed of his truck and climbed in with ease. Once in the back he fumbled around and finally found two strong pieces of rope that he used for this purpose. With the rope over his shoulder he jumped out the side of the bed and walked to the front of her car. "Can you tie strong knots?" He knew she wanted to help and so he was trying to incorporate her in his job. He never usually accepted help, especially from a young woman, but something about her made him want to keep her happy. He wasn't sure what.

"Tie this end to the front bumper of your car." Mitchell laid one end of the rope on the ground near her and then took the other end to the trailer. He then tied this end of the rope a crank that was at the front of the trailer. With this he could move the car up the trailer. He would have done this to start with but he didn't have rope long enough to do so, not until it was already at the base of the trailer. After he finished tying the knot he stepped down and walked over to Blair to see if she needed any help.

Steering the car when it needed it Blair was mostly looking in her review nibbling on her bottom lip watching Maverick pushing the car, he would stop every now and then for a moment or two and Blair wished he would have let her help him push the stupid car to the ramp. When he got it to the ramp, Blair smiled a little opening her door and sitting sideways in the seat looking at him, his chest was covered in sweat, his hair clinging to his forehead in places, a blush came to her cheeks as she adverted her eyes. He had a body guys would kill for and girls swooned over, but Blair was going to play it safe and not look at him in that way or even think about it, he was helping her that was it.

Watching him jump into the bed of his truck she got out and closed the door, the keys in the pocket on the front of the hoodie and nodded seeing the rope in his hands. "Yeah I can" Taking he end Blair squatted down in front of her bumper and looked down at the bumper trying to find a spot to tie the rope too with out pulling the bumper off. Blowing stray hair out of her face Blair's nose crinkled slightly as she concentrated on tying the knot to the bumper, finely she got it done and glanced over at Maverick "This ok?" She asked straightening up and moving to the side out of his way. "So what next?" She asked a little proud of herself for tying the knot the right way before looking back at him, keeping her eyes on his face not letting them wander down his chest.

Hands shoved into the pocket she looked at her car then back at him out of the way but ready to help him if he needed it.

Mitchell crossed his arms over his chest as he waited for Blair to finish. He checked it for a moment and then nodded in approval. "Nice job. I should hire you." He chuckled and then made his way to the front of the trailer. "Now we let the crank to the work. Motorized." Again he winked at Blair and just now noticed her blushing. That's when he remembered he wasn't wearing a shirt and he smirked as he realised that must be what she was embarassed about. But he made no move to put his shirt back on. Instead he went to the motor with the crank and pressed a few buttons. Then with a loud whirring and occassionally creak or groan, the ropes became taut as the car slowly was pulled up onto the trailer.

It took a good 2 mintues before the car was as far up on the trailer as it could go. Mitchell walked to the left side and began putting up the tire stop behind the back left tire on the trailer. He looked back at Blair. "The other one needs to be set. Just grab under the metal plate, pull up, and put the metal bar in to keep it in place." Then he went back to doing just that. "If you need help let me know, they can be a little heavy." To be exact the metal tire stops weighted 50 pounds each.

Blair smiled a little brighter when Maverick approved of her work and soaked up the praise no matter how little it was. "Thanks but you'd loose money rather then make it if I tried to work on cars" Looking at her car them at him she nodded slightly "Oh alright" This time when he winked she just smiled a little and shook he head at him, a light blush still on her cheeks. Walking over to the trailer she watched him nibbling on her bottom lip again, hands shoved into the front pocket on the hoodie.

When the car was up onto the trail she moved closer watching him move over to the left side and started pulling up something behind the tire. She wasn't sure what it was but she figured that it had to do with keeping the car on the trailer, hey maybe she was learning after all. "Alright" She nodded rounding the car and looked down ta the trailer nibbling on her lip, she hear him but said nothing as she looked down at it, first trying to figure out how to lift it up, he said just grab under the metal plate thing and pull it up, how hard could that be? Reaching down she tried to pull it up and grunting softly "Geez..." She grumbled grabbing it with both hands and leaning back trying to putt all her weight into it, still the the tire stop barely moved. Getting frustrated with it Blair huffed still leaning back trying to pull it up " It wont come" She grunted out. Fingers slipping from the cold metal Blair let out a squeal when she felt herself start to fall, she scrambled to grab anything to keep her from falling on her butt but nothing was in reach that would really help her catch herself.

Maverick was actually enjoying himself more than he had in a long while, despite the sex. The way she nibbled on her lip and the constant blush on her face. It was such a sweet, childish gesture that complimented him more than any skankily dressed, hot slut could. And so after he pulled up the metal tire stop, he wiped his hands on his pants and began making his way over to her. "Here let me help." But just as he reached her, her fingers slipped and she fell backwards.

With his quick reflexes, Maverick ran over and got right behind her just as she was about to hit the ground. He caught her under her arms, in a trust-fall like style, and held her firmly so she could regain her balance. "Woah there kiddo. Careful." He was up against her and his face was above her right shoulder only a few inches from her own and his chest and body was only a inch away from her own, his body-heat from working would easily be felt. He smiled as he turned to look her in the face. She smelt like wild flowers. "You alright?" His expression was amused but also held a hint of concern.

The sick feeling that you were falling but couldn't do anything about it was what Blair was feeling as she started to fall back, she gritted her teeth waiting to feel the hard concrete meet her butt and back when suddenly she felt arms go under hers and she didn't meet the ground, that got a squeal yelping sound from her as Maverick got her back into her feet but didn't let go, his face was above her right shoulder only a few inches from her own, her breath caught in her throat as her body seemed to tense up a little getting ready for the grope or grab, it though was coming. But it never came, slowly her body relaxed again, she could feel his body heat easily even with a oversized hoodie on, he was standing so close to her.

He let go of Blair and turned looking at her face, she blushed again from the amused look on his face and nodded when he asked if she was ok.Finely she found her words "Yeah, thanks for catching me" She gave him a smile smile pushing hair out of her face looked at him for a moment head tilted to the side, like she was trying to figure him out, why he was helping her and everything. With a shake of her head she looked away back to the trailer and let out a huff glaring at the metal bar "I will win" She grumbled before going back to pulling on it, decremented to pull that stupid bar out, even if she fell of her butt again, she was going to win this little battle, she might not be able to win the ones with her father but she could win this one. Grunting softly she stuck her tongue out the counter of her mouth as she put all her weight into it again.

Maverick nodded her head when she said she was alright. But then he saw her...what was she doing? Her head was tilted to the side and she seemed to be studying him. That was a first. No one had ever look at him with such intensity and it somewhat unnerved him. But then she looked away and simply shook her head. But why? Still not understanding he shook it off and laughed when her stubborn attitude began to show.

The way she stood there, with her shoulders braced and her knees locked, it made him smile. A true smile. He shook his head and laughed heartily as she began to pull. A few moments passed and he walked over behind her. "Why don't you let me help?" He reached around her to grab a hold of the tire stop so he could help her pull it up.

Putting all her weight into it, Blair gripped the tire stop trying to pull it up, her knees locked shoulders braced tongue poking out the corner of her mouth as she pulled back on it. The stupid thing wasn't moving at all just getting the girl frustrated and more determined to pull it up into place. She jumped slightly feeling Maverick move behind her and asked if he could help, she almost shook her head to tell him she got it and was going to do it by herself even if it killed her. But he was just trying to help, she wasn't used to it but with a huff nodded as he reached around her grabbing hold of it.

With his help, or he was probably doing most of it, they got it pulled up and locked into place. Smiling that she or they did it Blair turned around smiling brightly at him proud of herself, but he was yet again close to her, so close he was only inches away, his body heat radiating off him. The blush came back to her cheeks as she looked up at him "Thanks...For helping me with that stupid thing" She grumbled the last part and bit back down on her bottom lip looking up at him, head tilted to the side again, gray eyes searching his own trying to figure out once again why he was doing all this for her. A slight though full frown came to her lips, as she searched his face for answers, she saw a look in his eyes, one that she knew all to well a empty loneliness, he had hidden it pretty well unless you hid everything back too, so was that it? He was lonely? Or was it deeper? Blair had the feeling it was something more.

Maverick saw the nod and leaned down, taking a firm grip of the tire stop. He pulled up and, though he could have easily lifted it, refrained from doing all the work. He saw the excitement in her eyes as she tackled the task, he didn't want to ruin that or harm her pride by doing all the work. In a few seconds it was up and she turned to face him, her eyes beaming with pride.

He couldn't help but smile. Being this close he couldn't help but notice her beauty. She was cute in an adult way, something that he found himself very attracted to. The way she bit her lip and tilted her head, it made him smile no matter what. He was a good 3 inches taller than her, which only added to his appeal to her.

At this moment he wanted nothing more than to kiss her on those soft, sweet lips. But she looked fragile and unstable. He felt an odd protection over her and would never forgive himself if he harmed her in any way. So with great restraint he forced one of his famous half-smiles and took a step back. He cleared his throat and found his gaze stuck on her eyes. "Shall we go?"

Head tilted to the side that slight thoughtful frown on her lips Blair looked up at him, she wanted to know why he had such a lonely dark look in his eyes, that kind of thinking would get her into trouble but he had that same look she saw in the mirror everyday. He was a stranger and Blair had the urge to try and help him, she was weird that way, she was always trying to help others and fix their hearts when she couldn't fix her own or get out of the living hell she was in most the time.

Looking up at him Blair snapped out of it looking at him as he stepped back and looked at her with a half smile and cleared his throat. "Yeah..." She trailed off when he eyes locked with hers for a moment, before Blair looked away and gave him a small smile walking back over to the side of the truck, she may want to help him but...she couldn't let him see the real her. That could be bad on his part and just dangerousness for everyone. Opening the door she jumped in and closed it yawning and pushed hair out of her eyes.
