Adam chuckled, "Oh, I bet I will" he said as he took the lead, walking towards the small white cottage. Adam watched her, as her ocean green eyes searched the ranch. He smiled, "Yup like right out of a catalog" he said with a laugh to show he wasn't being serious. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door.

Peyton smirked as he answered her as they walked to the cottage but she kepted looking around until she heard him joke with her about it being right out of a catalog " ha ha very funny" she said as he knocked on the door

Adam just smiled, he never really felt like this place was his home. Just a temporary place to stay. He never felt alright within the white cottage and the perfect family. His foster parents didn't really know what to do with him when he acted out, especially when he had the temper issues, but that was all in the past now. As the door opened a middle aged ,blonde women answered it. "Adam?" she asked with a dazed look on her face, "what are you doing here?"

Standing behind adam as the woman opened the dorr she really couldn't see peyton. But peyton could tell from the way she talked adam hadn't been here in a long time. Peyton stepped to the side of adam and smiled at the lady who was standing in the door way

Adam nodded his head politely, "hello Anna" he said as she opened the door wider, "well come inside," she said and then seeing Peyton. "oh hello young lady," she said then looking back at Adam, "what's the surprise for?" she asked still a little bewildered.

Peyton smiled " hi I'm peyton its nice to meet you" she said polietly as she stood next to adam wondering why he was acring alittle strange to the women who raised hime

Adam smiled and stepped into the house, with peyton. "sorry I came uninvited, but my friend Peyton here was looking for a job, at a ranch and I thought of this place" he said quickly. Anna smiled warmly, "nonsense, your always invited," she then looked at Peyton, "have you ever worked around horses sweetie?" she asked her western accent strong.

Peyton smiled as they stepped into the hosue " yes ma'am all my life to the point its like ithey can read my mind" she said with a laugh. If only these people knew she really ment they could understand her and she could understand them

Anna smiled at Peyton, "Well then that's wonderful! I have been looking around for someone who can help me out around here," she said, and then looked at Adam, and back at Peyton, "So is he your boyfriend or something?" she asked pointing over to him.

Peyton smiled as she heard anna say she need help around the ranch but once she heard the comment about adam her cheeks turned alike pink color " no ma'am we just met today aactually" she said as she glanced over at adam then back at anna

Adam also turned a light shade of pink and cleared his throat. "her car broke down, and it might take awhile to get fixed, she needs someplace to stay and a job". Anna looked at her within smile, "well you can stay however long you like," she said nutting her hands together.

" thank you that's very kind of you I promise ill work hard" peyton said with a bright smile as she talked to anna. She was starting to like this place more by the second. Peyton looked over at adam then back to anna " is there anything I could do now" she asked really wanting to meet the horses

Anna laughed seeing that Peyton was itching to see everything, "Adam, why don't you show her around, and then please stay for dinner" she asked hopefully. Adam hesitated but nodded his head, "sure thing" he said quickly before smiling at Peyton, "shall we?" he said trying to imitate a british accent but with his western tone it came out very funny.

Peyton smiled as anna asked adam to stay for dinner. She couldn't help but giggle as adam tryed to have a british accent " maybe you should stick with your western accent it sounds cuter" she said with a wink in a real british accent. Before going back to her southern one.

Adam chuckled and went back to his normal accent, "So you like western accent's huh?" he said with a smirk. He opened the door and waited for her to come outside so he could show her the grounds of the ranch.

Peyton giggled as she walked out the door to go walk the grounds with adam " I like a lot of accents but western sounds good on you" she said as she waited for him to walk with her

Adam laughed as he closed the door after her and started to make his way towards the first barn. "This barn is for the mare's and their foals and fillies" he said as he opened the doors and they walked in the brightly lit barn. Two rows of stalls greeting them with some of the mare's heads sticking out, nickering as they appeared.

Peyton followed adam to the first barn. As adam told peyton which barn it was and open the doors they were greeted with whickers and whinnies " their so pretty s" she said as they walked through the barn. Peyton loved foals especial the ones that were coming out of their awkward faz

Adam smiled as he turned all the lights on in the barn. He walked over to Peyton, walking down the aisle's of mare's with her, telling the names of some. Even the history of some of the mare's there were one or two who had been champion's in the time when they use to race.

Peyton listened as adam told her the history and namesx of the mares as they walked down the aisle's.peyton petted a few who stuck their head s out their doors. " who's this little on" she said as a dark blood bay filly with a star stuck her head out and nuzzled her

Adam smiled as he saw the bay, she was the filly of a world renowned race horse, they couldn't wait for her to grow up and get on the track. "That is Alegria, the future of this ranch" he said with a small laugh. He walked over and gave her a pat on the neck, "Hopefully she won't let us down" he said as she let out a loud nicker.

Peyton smiled but noticed the filly was too young to be away from her mom." Where her mom" she asked as she looked at adam as the filly nibbled on her shirt

Adam's smile wavered slightly. "she died, giving birth to the filly" he said quietly as he stroked her neck. "so everyone around here has to be on their toes, its hard for such a young horse to grow up without a mother." He said, his eyes darkened slightly as he explained to Peyton the situation of the filly.

Peyton looked from algeria to adam with sad eyes then sighed " have you tryed putting her with another mare that has a foal her age " she said know that it would work in most cases it did
