He stretched, tail lifting. "When I'm full and full of energy I'll run faster," Cheshire said, his gaze locked on the river.

Lilac laughed softly at his comment then quickly smacked her paw into the river an threw a fish upwards onto land. He but down on it and killed it. She purred with pride with gerself and sat beside her catch waiting for him to catch something before she ate, to be polite.

Cheshire watched her catch a fish. A spark of envy lit in his chest. His mother had never taught him how to fish. Turning to the river, he spotted the slick shadow of a fish slither by. He darted a paw inside. However, instead of smacking a fish it was just a stick. But to Cheshire, it was a fish. Pushing his head inside of the river he grabbed the fish. Bleh. The stale taste of bark touched his tongue. "That's not a fish," he grumbled, pulling his face out of the river.

Lilac saw his troubles and asked "Wait, do you even know how to catch a fish?"

[Blackberry]

Water dripped from his face and half his chest. "Um," he said, very embarrassed. "No."

Lilac purr-laughed "Here I'll show you," she went back over to the river and said "Okay, you have to sit here and wait for the fish to come by. You'll see a silver-ish green color when it comes by. Then when it comes by you just smack it out of the water." she said demonstrating.

Cheshire sat down beside her, listening intently. "Okay," he said. I'll make sure not to catch sticks this time, he added silently.

Lilac nodded and backed up "Why don't you try?" she asked encouragingly.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire stared at the river intently. As he saw a shadow sliver by, his paw darted out and smacked the fish out of the water. However, his other paws slipped and he once again fell into the river.

Lilac purred in laughter as he fell "Are you ok?" she asked shaking with laughter.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire pulled himself out of the river. His ears were flat, fur plastered against his body. His eyes were narrowed as water dripped them. However, a fish was clamped in his jaws. Dropping the fish, he shook his fur. "I'm fine," he said, short tail bristling.

Lilac laughed at him then purred in approval as she saw his fish. "Good job!" she purred.

Cheshire grinned. "Thanks!" He then glared at the fish. "I sure went through a lot to get this little thing."

She laughed "You'll get it down soon!" She dipped down and dug her sharps fangs into her fish.

The bobcat purred, munching on his fish as well.

Lilac finished her fish quickly and began grooming her silky fur.

Cheshire had finished off his fish but was now licking the blood from the bones, his short tail flicking.

Lilac sat there purring as she ate until she looked to see the moon rising. She looked up at it smiling, unknowing that her hm fur was almost shining due to the reflection of the moon.

Cheshire yawned and stretched before glancing at Lilac. Her fur shone in the moonlight. The tom immediately turned red underneath his fur, realizing he had been gawking at her. Laying on his side he tried not to stare at her like an idiot again.

Lilac purred "Such a beautiful moon tonight" Looking up at the big silver circle in the black sky.

[Blackberry]

Cheshire followed her gaze. "Yep," he muttered.

Lilac yawned, her glistening white fangs showing in the moonlight. She laid down still looking up at the moon.

[Blackberry]

The bobcat stretched, lifting his haunches high into the air and stretching out his forearms. He let out a monster yawn, his bones popping. Licking his lips he collapsed, folding his paws and curling his hind legs.
