Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Titan
Feathered hooves clashed against the rocks, the dark clouds overhead rumbling with thunder and threatening to pour rain as the stallion made his way over the dangerous land. With each movement, his muscles under his skin rippled and his pure power showed without him even trying. Tossing his head in a sign of dominance to anyone or anything that may be looking, the mighty stallion snorted. His ears flicked back and forth. He knew all too well just how dangerous Poisoned Peak was, but that did not stop the daring stallion. For noone would dare challenge this mighty beast.
Wild and free, a creature unable to be tamed. A spirit to match that of gods, he was not one to be messed with. His build was that of the largest possible pureblooded friesian. One that any person would crave to own. Everything that he was screamed Friesian. That was, except for his large wings. At first, one would think it was an illusion, or a trick in which someone had struck fake wings out a friesian stallion. But no. Little did they know, their eyes had not played tricks on them. He was, indeed a pegasus.
The usual? No. Not at all. Titan was in no way a normal pegasus. Given, there weren't many left and noone had seen one. Or noone believed they had. Most pegasus's were white with the body strudture of a slim horse such as an arabian or the occasional thoroughbred. But Titan was black and friesian. The only one of his kind. Snorting, the stallion made his way across the land, powerful hooves clashing against dirt and hard stone. Thunder rumbled, yet his heavy hoof falls eachoed across the land.
Stopping for a moment, Titan pawed at the rocky ground, his powerful hooves striking at the rock until it cracked. Snorting, the stallion reared, pawing the air and letting out a loud, shrill neigh, large wings outstretched. Anyone dared to challenge him they would fall.
(Human or elf wanted)
(NO one-liners. Must be a few good, long sentances.)

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Aaron swore angrily as the bay Anglo he sat astride leapt forward again, startled by the loud clap of thunder ringing out from overhead. Staring up into the dark sky, he glowered up at it spitefully. When he had first left the stables, the sky had been clear, the air calm. Now it felt and heard as though he were in the middle of a war zone. And it definitely did not help any that he was riding the high strung, barely trained three-year old mare today. No, this was not a good day at all.
Pulling the mare to a stop, having to tighten his hold on the nervous animal by a tremendous amount, he looked around the rocky area with disgust. Poisoned Peak was the most distasteful, offensive place he had ever been to, and normally he avoided it at all costs, and he’d rather die than have to spend any extended period of time staying there. But at this point, he knew it was necessary. They wouldn’t be looking for him out here, where every step could prove fatal; it seemed to be his only chance at this point.
Nudging the mare forward again, he scowled when she flinched and refused to move, swinging her head and looking around. Pressing his heels tighter around her barrel, it seemed she was about to move when a shrill neigh rang out through the air, seemingly not far away, as it was able to be heard over the claps of thunder. The mare’s eyes rolled back, chewing at the bit in her mouth as she attempted to lunge forward again, away from the other animal. Letting out a long, frightened whinny in response, she shook her head angrily as Aaron reigned her in, casting a wary glance towards the direction of the sound. He doubted anyone would be out here in this storm, in this place, but he couldn’t be too careful. Peering into the trees, he was about to keep going when movement caught his eyes, Focusing on the dark blur, he turned the mare towards it as the shape of a dark horse slowly began to emerge.
It was a large, black stallion, Friesian-like in build and appearance, but it seemed to be far too big for the average-sized horse. There was movement on it’s back, but the blurs were far too dark and large to be a rider, and the horse wore no tack of any kind. The Anglo mare also caught sight of the Friesian, rolling her eyes back and stomping a hind leg before trying to move herself away from the stallion again. Aaron held her firmly in place again, the mare pulling at his arms, and he craned his head to peer at the horse again.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Snorting, Titan flicked his thick forelock from his dark eyes and looked around. He lowered his front half of his body to the ground, hooves clicking harshly upon the broken rocky ground beneath him. Flicking his wings out beside him, he shimmied them lightly to loose all the dirt amongst his raven black feathers. Grunting softly, the stallion half reared, flicking one powerful hoof out infront of him, striking at nothing. His muscles hunching and springing loose at the movement. Landing on the ground again, he flicked his ears this way and that, listening for anything. Nothing. Grunting again, Titan decided he go explore the peak a bit more.
He lowered his head and sniffed at nothing in particular just as thundr clapped the sky. He raised his head sharply and snorted is distaste, his hoof crashing upon the rocky ground. It gave way underneath him, the rocks crumbling and his hoof went straight through to the dirt below. Whickering in surprise, Titan lurched forward, out of the the hole. Damn racks. They were so weak beneath him. Bot, moments later, his overly sensitive ears picked up on the frightened whinny even over the thunder which rumbled the land.
He spun around and sniffed the air. He couldn't smell whether it was a mare or a stallion, as he was downwind from the horse. The outline of the shape could be seen from behind some trees. It seemed like an arab by its small shape. Could it be his lucky day and be another like him? A pegasus? Pfft. Yeah, right. The others shunned him. He was an outcast. A monstrocity. A demon.
Leaping from his ledge on the rocks, Titan landed on the rocky ground, rocks crumbling beneath him. He made his way over to the horse and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw what was upon its back. A human. The horse was a mare. An anglo arab. And young.
Still, that did not give her reason to allow such a thing as a human upon her back. Titans ears flicked back in rage and he reared where he was, pawing the air with mighty hooves, muscles trembling with anger that seethed from him. He landed on the ground, rocks crunching again. He unfurled his wings and stretched them out wide, knocking over a few smaller trees.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
The mare trembled beneath him, reaching out tentatively to paw the rocky ground before her, her hoof scraping across the uneven ground. The massive black horse moved, coming down towards them, only to stop after a moment. Aaron’s eyes watched attentively, nudging his mare’s sides as he attempted to move her towards the other horse, but she refused to budge, her eyes caught on the Friesian, shaking as she stood there. She jumped when he reared up, his thick legs pawing strongly out in front of him, and the earth seemed to tremble when he landed with an audible thud, lightning flashing overhead.
Aaron’s gaze was caught on the black blur on the horse’s back, the dark shape growing and fanning out to either side of the animal’s body, draping forward and down. The lightning overhead lit up the sky once more, illuminating the dark equine for a brief moment, shining light on the strange curtain-like shapes attached to its back. It couldn’t be… As the light faded as quickly as it had come, Aaron’s mind, dull from the cold that had spread across the land, finally seemed to understand what the “horse” actually was.
A pegasus.
Was it real? Did they actually exist? They must; there was one standing right before him, less than 70 yards away, it’s wings stretched out proudly for all to see. A black, Friesian-like body topped with powerful, raven-like wings far bigger than any wings of a bird. How could it be?
Clamping his legs around the mare’s barrel, he pushed her forward, against her obvious reluctance to do so, whipping the reins against her shoulder. If it was truly a pegasus, the thing would be far more valuable than any gold or silver. Perhaps he would be able to trade the mythical creature in for his freedom, for Alisha’s freedom, as well.
Freeing the rope that had been tied to his saddle, he quickly made a loop in it, holding the coils in one hand with the reins, while he freed one hand to hold the loop, starting towards the large black beast. He didn’t stop to think of what he was doing, or why the pegasus had such a strange coloring, but forced the mare into a gallop towards the horse. He doubted it would fly in a storm like this; but either way, the animal was unpredictable, and he only had the one chance to catch it.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Snorting, unable to contain his anger, the large black stallion let out an enraged, soul shattering neigh, his ears buried within his mane. His dark eyes ablaze, Titan lowered his head towards the ground and eyed the mare and man. He saw the man pull something off the mare's saddle. Giving the ground one heavy smash with his hoof, the pegasus snapped his head up, forelock flicking over his eyes. Studying what the man now had in his hand, Titan recognised it as a rope. A human's object to capture an animal.
Titan snorted proudly. Did he really think that flimsy piece of rope would hold him at bay? He wasn't an ordinary horse. Damn, he wasn't eve classified as a horse. A pegasus. Proud and noble creatures of both land and sky. Yet Titan was an outlaw of his kind. Snorting again, the magnifisant stallion watched as the frightened mare raced towards despite her intstincts telling her to run. Foolish creature. She could easily overpower that human. Humans were so weak. Like the rocks underneath him.
Flicking his forelock from his eyes, Titan half reared and then lunged at the mare, tucking his raven coloured wings tightly against his sides and snapped his jaws dangerously close to her shoulder and the human's leg. No, he would never purposely hurt an innocent mare. But should she keep on obeying the human and coming at him, he would have to. Despite being proud and tempermental, Titan wasn't cruel... When he didn't want to be.
He moved so he stood behind the mare but far enough behind her so she couldn't try to harm him in any way. A frightened horse was a foolish horse. His dark eyes watched the human closely and his nostrils flared in challenge. If this human wanted to try and catch him, he could try. Titan would fight back. Tail flicking just as the first few drops of rain came down. Moments later it was heavy and hard, bashing against his body and wings, covering the land in an almost misty look.
Even if he wanted to, titan would be unable to fly now. Run, yes. He could easily outrun the skiddish mare. Lowering his head, ears pinned still, Titan watched them, nostrils flared, wings shuddering, and his teeth knawing together as if something was there he was going to crush. He was itching for a challenge. Something to get his blood pumping. But he could tell this mare was going to bolt very shortly. Either taking or leaving the man behind with her.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
The Anglo Arabian mare squealed, her ears pinning back slightly as she jerked her head up high, trying to appear as threatening as possible, but the whites of her eyes and the way her body trembled slightly gave her away. She skittered to the side as the Pegasus charged at her, kicking out slightly in annoyance and confusion when the bit of her bridle cut into the corners of her mouth when Aaron reined her in. She shook her head roughly against the pressure, but reluctantly turned her head towards the large black stallion again when her rider pulled her head in that direction. His legs constricted around her sides and she jumped forward again, her head up high, pulling at the bit uneasily as he pushed her forward.
The rain began to come down hard and fast, and Aaron once again made a loop in his rope as he eyed the stallion. If anything, this stallion could get him out of the mess he was in now, and he wasn't willing to let the oppurtunity slip past him this time. Leaning down over Adelia's(just picked a random name) neck, he tightened his legs around her barrel. She shook her head, backing up a step, but jumped forward a moment later when he tightened his grip. The Pegasus's wings were stretched out, as though he were preparing to fly, but it was impossible in this wind and rain. Even so, he could run. The Anglo was fast, but Aaron doubted he would be able to outrun the creature on the normal horse. And so this might be his last chance.
His eyes watched the stallion closely as Adelia pranced forward, her head tucked in, continuously trying to turn and storm away from the Pegasus. Aaron kept her facing the black, winged horse, inching her closer until he pushed her forward into a canter, lifting the rope over his head. One try, that was all he had. He had good aim, but would it be enough?
The rope swung through the air, silent against the rumble of thunder. Lightning briefly illuminated the sky again, casting the three in strange shadows and perspective, before dropping them back into darkness. As the white-colored object flew past her eyes, Adelia spooked, her entire body twisted sideways and away from the rope. Her head droppeed down low as she spun, her hind legs kicking out in the general direction of the rope, before she took off, snatching the bit and jerking the reins from her rider's hands. Aaron slipped, loosing his balance on the mare's back in the confusion of throwing his weight forward as he threw the rope and the horse spooking. His foot slipped from the stirrup and he lurched to the side, clutching to the saddle and mane, his end of the rope still in hand. Adelia shook her head in annoyance, throwing her head between her legs and arching her back, bucking as strongly as she could while twisting away from the human on her back, dislodging him. Now riderless, the mare let out a shrill whinny before taking off away from the stallion as Aaron landed in the mud, facing the large black stallion alone.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
The anglo was scared out of her wits. She tried to seem threatening, but nomatter how ard she may try, she just looked like a baby gazelle trying to look tough against a hungry lion. It was impossible, if not funny. Groaning softly, Titan threw his head towards the sky, his thick mane flickly desperately in no particular direction. His dark eyes stared down at both man and mare with an almost sympethic, yet amused expression. This human really thought he could catch him. Well, let him try. Titan was definately a proud creature, if not on the verge of arrogant. Actually, no, he crossed into the land of arrogance long ago. He thought he was the best. That he could never lose against anything put before him.
Stomping his hoof against the wet rocks, Titan stared at the two, watching as the human tried desperately to control the young mare. Finally, he got it under control and Titan watched as the horse crept closer, the man upon her back shifting his weight and readying his rope. The pegasus did not move and simply watched. If he thought a rope would hold him, he was dead wrong. Soon the mare was pushed into a canter, her steps reluctant, wanting to run away to safety. The man suddenly swung the rope in Titan's direction, which caused the young horse to spook. Her whole body twisted away, nearly dislodging the man.
Titan watched as the foolish human tried miserably to cling to the mare. But, finally, she grew some back bone and threw him off. The stallion watched as the mare galloped off and then he turned to face the human. The pegasus ignored the rope which had managed to snake its way around his neck. He pawed the ground roughly, the rocks cracking under the pressure, muscle bunching and whipping back out with his movements. His ears pinned back and he took a few steps forward, baring his teeth at the tiny human. Though such a large, bulky beast, Titan was graceful. Almost eeriely so.
Soon enough Titan was standing over the human and the black stallion brought his heavy hoof down harshly beside the man's head, rocks trembling beneath it. His other forehoof rested rested beside his arm, his wet feathers around his hooves dripping water onto him. Titan brought his muzzle down towards the human, snapping his jaws at the man before he simply stared at him, the stallion's breath hot against the human's now cold skin.
"Why do you try to capture me, human? Do you not know it is useless? A rope such as this; you could never hope to keep me down with this." Titan spoke, his voice smooth yet holding a demonic touch to it. Only those of whom he wished to understand him could. And right now, titan wanted an explanation. Did this human think he so brave and noble to try and tame a beast such as Titan? If he did, he would learn the hard way, things would not go his way.
And had the human not noticed that Titan was completely different to the pegasus's in stories and the ones which had been sighted very few times?

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Aaron was frozen, staring at the large black stallion that loomed above him as he came ever so close. His instincts screamed at him to run, but he stayed in place on the ground. Whether it was his stubborn arrogance or blood-chilling fear that held him in place he knew not, but either way it left him paralyzed. The stallion's form was blurred slightly in the heavy onslaught of rain, which drove Aaron's hair into his eyes, further prohibiting his vision, but he made no move to fix the problem.
The stallion stopped, and Aaron could only tilt his head back slightly to look up into his eyes. The Pegasus' breath caressed his face, bringing feeling back into his numb skin, which now alternated between blazing heat from the breath of the mighty creature and freezing cold from the continuous downpour of rain. And when he suddenly spoke, his large dark eyes staring straight at him, Aaron could feel his heart thud painfully in his chest.
He opened his mouth to speak, but it seemed words refused to come and continued to elude him; he grasped at anything he could possibly use to speak to the stallion, but his body refused to form the words that screamed at his brain.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Beneath the mighty beast, the small human male was scared. Titan could smell his fear he felt towards the stallion, which made him smirk. Already, the human had lost its will to try and capture him; just because he had lost the safety of being upon the anglo arabian's back. He could see his dark hair sticking to his face and covering his eyes, but the man made no move to fix it. He was frozen in place, despite his instincts probably screaming at him to run to safety. A foolish creature indeed for not listening to them. The rain was harsh and unforgiving as it pelted down over the mighty Pegasus's body and wings, making sure to keep him ground ridden.
Yet, the human body was now mostly covered by the stallion's body, which seemed to refuse to allow the rain to come upon his new found prey. No, of course the stallion wasn't going to eat him, but he would definately have some fun with him. Stretching his wings out, the black beast shook them out, ridding most of the water from his feathers before the rain saturated them again. He tucked them tightly against his sides again, staring at the trapped human beneath him.
His patience was growing thin without an answer, even though he noticed the human couldn't answer no matter how much he wanted to. He could faintly hear his pounding heart over the rain and Titan took frightening pleasure of knowing the effect he had over the man.
"Answer me, human. Why did you try to capture me? Depending on your answer, I may let you live," the black beast growled. Titan, of course, had no desire, need or intention to kill this human being, but that didn't mean he wouldn't seriously harm him should his answer be a foolish one to the stallion's ears.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Laying on the ground, practically beneath the black Pegasus stallion, with no weapons or means of escape or protection, and now without a horse, Aaron could feel his confidence slip away, to be replaced with fear. His pulse pounded painfully in his temples, and his heart beat hard. Not fast, but hard, a dull, heavy thump that seemed to resound throughout his entire body. Unable to tear his eyes away from the winged animal, quite aware of how close he was to fully standing atop him, Aaron's mouth opened once more to speak, his voice a dry, almost rasping sound.
"I-I needed, to," he gulped. He wanted to scream 'I don't know,' and beg for his life, but somehow he could imagine that it wouldn't go well with the stallion. So he took in a slow breath and started again. "I can't go back to my home without something to offer in exchange for my freedom, and for my (sister/maiden?)'s life," he said, his eyes meeting the stallion's. What he saw there made a cold tremor crawl up his spine; such a powerful creature, with obvious ease he could crush Aaron out of existence, and feel no remorse for him thereafter. He was the most powerful creature anyone could ever come across, one of the rarest breeds in the land, and even more so because he was black and of Friesian character. In the back of his mind, he felt that no reason he gave would be reason enough for him trying to capture him, but he had to try.
Ugh, fail -.-

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Cold eyes staring down at the human, Titan watched him, his eyes dark and menacing. Pinning his ears back when the human started to speak, the stallion could sense he wanted to yell that he had no idea why he tried to catch him. But instead, the human slowly explained himself, choosing his words carefully. Titan could tell that the man was not lying, and was, infact, telling the truth about needing to capture him for his freedom and his lover's life. Flicking his wet but thick black tail, titan pulled his head back from the human slightly, looking at him, studying him. He did not remove his hooves from beside the human's head or side ad continued to stare at him yet somehow protect him from the rain. His wings felt stiff and sore from keeping them against his sides so tightly, but he made no move to stretch them again.
Titan's eyes seemed to soften slightly and his ears relaxed, though his jaw stayed tight and tense. "So, human, what is your name?" Titan demanded. He had decided to let the human live and should he not make any seriously bad move, go without a scratch. Actually, titan was becoming inclined already to try adn help this human, but he was never a very willing Pegasus to help someone and he didn't really want to change his ways.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Aaron flinched slightly when the stallion moved, but a moment later realized he was only lifting his head slightly, as though to study him better. He watched the black Pegasus with a mixture of curiousity, confusion, and a bit of fear that couldn't be helped. But now, he was hopeful that he may be able to get away; after all, if he was wanted dead by such a powerful creature, wouldn't he be dead already?
"..Aaron." He wanted to push himself up off of the wet, rocky ground, shifting his weight slightly as he tried to relieve the pressure of the sharp stones digging into his body, but he didn't dare while the stallion was there.

Re: Unknown And Feared(Echo, possibly mature)
Titan stared down at the human for a long while, waiting for him to reply. His patience was wearing thin already, however. After a short while, the human replied as to what his name was and Titan gave a light nod. "Aaron..." Titan repeated, drawing his head back, finally deciding to let the human have his space as he shifted slightly beneath him. The Pegasus knew that the rocks beneath him would've have to have been hurting him. Afterall, he was just a weak, fragile human. Ears flicking slightly, Titan stepped away from the human named Aaron and shivered against the cold. No matter how powerful the stallion was, he was no match for the weather. Flicking his tail again, Titan looked at the human.
"So you wanted to capture me, to save the one you love, is that correct?" the black beast said, raising his proud head high, "That is, indeed an adirable thing to do, young Aaron. However, I shall not be captured quite as easily as you had previously thought. For I am not the pure and forgiving kind of Pegasus," he said roughly, ears flicking in mild agiation. Thankfully for Aaron, Titan had calmed down.
"However." the stallion said, shakking his whole body, to try and rid some of the rain, "Should you have a dry place for me to stay and something that may be worth my while, I shall help you. It seems like it could be some fun," now, Titan stretched his wings out straight and broguht them in to his side and repeated the motion a couple more times before loosely tucking his large black wings to his sides. Maybe helping this small human could bring some amusement to his life. That was definately something in which Titan needed right now.
For so long, now, he had gone without anything to look forward to.
